It must be terrible then, the formula of Pepperment Patti was the worst of any nail polish I have ever tried. It was streaky, unbuildable and just a plain nightmare. Completely turned me off from MAC nail polishes for good.

As much as I adore the packaging of this collection, I just really can't justify making a large purchase. I'm cool with it. I really want to book an overseas holiday before the end of the year and given my budget lately, don't really want or need to spend money I don't have.

I am indeed enjoying vicarious thrills through y'all, though. This collection is beautiful and you lovelies are rocking it!

I'm with you Rachel. i will have cross country trip this summer with the family & i know i will spend money a lot. You & I were so excited with this collection few months ago (& still)...

Wth Baltimore?

I went to have my makeover SW appt today and Bright Future was sold out so I didn't get a look done with it. Boooooooo.

I picked up Tempting, Soft Force (I don't have Femme Fi so what the hell might as well) Purple Rite, F&F, and On a Mission.

The look the MA did on me was Tempting on lid, Texture in crease, and Brulee highlight. I didn't like Brulee so much. I'm a NC50 and it looked a bit chalky to me. Off to order Bright Future online.

Hi, sorry if this has been asked. How close is On a Mission bpb to Summer Rose beauty powder? Is On a mission way more pigmented? Thanks

I know, Sandra! I still love this collection, but being able to travel and see friends is more important (I am desperate to get back to London especially because I have so many mates there). And I gotta big stash! I can create loads of looks, I am good to go.

I personally do not find them similar at all...Summer Rose is more in the Pink family and On a Mission is not pink at all but a Plum color...they are both BPB so pretty much the same pigment...you will get more color from On a Mission only because it is a darker/deeper shade IMO

I bought Sun Rush? Lustre drops....can't wait to play w/it this weekend. Looks like it gives just the right amount of sheen for that dewy look.

The Refined Golden packaging is too gorgeous to skip for me so I will choose RG and not Eversun. I don't like to have too shimmery blushes because I like to add shimmer with a MSF or Shimmer Brick over the blush when I want shimmer and keep it matte if not.

I will get a refill of one of the perm dupes of Eversun later.

Good choice hun!

I'm proud of you for cutting a BPB off your list, I know how much you love those.

After Tish's description, I think I may just have to get Refined Golden too.

I have a really silly question to ask, but erm, how exactly do I use a bronzer? Never used one before.

Also, is RG similar to Light Over Dark grand duo?

Oh well I have a $25 gift card so it'll ease the pain, and maybe I can b2m too...sigh I hate being sick.

Oh no, hope you feel better soon. My son also has strep throat. He got sent home from school and went back today. Lucky it's a long weekend but no pool or beach for us. He has to take his antibiotics for 10 days.

someone asked...

swatches of Milani Tiger Bronzer on the left, MAC Bronze Hero Lustre Drops on the right

milanivsmac003.jpg

milanivsmac004.jpg

milanivsmac005.jpg

milanivsmac006.jpg

differences, obviously the colors are different. Milani's Tiger Bronze is more of gold-bronze, while MAC's Bronze Hero is bronze-bronze.

Texture-wise, Milani's is thicker, almost the consistency of a face cream. While MAC's is very liquidy. Which is also why it's in a squeeze-bottle.

hope that helps

Jeanette, I think Mercenary n/p is quite unique.

Peppermint Patti is a nightmare, but it's a cream whereas Violet Fire (IMO) is meant to be sheer and goes on as such.

Definitely OAM is way more pigmented than Summer Rose.

patty, oh no! on being allergic. Hopefully it's just a seasonal thing perhaps? Have you always had dry eyes using e/s or just recently?

dreamer, I like purple rite on you. For some reason it looks very natural with just a hint of a plummy berry color on you. Great choice. I am not really a fan of dark brown lipstick so glad you went with the first one.

tish, nice haul. I'm seriously thinking of adding night maneuvers to my list. I was going to say add On a Mission so glad you got both you were deciding on.

adina, too bad you forgot your SW but I bet you look awesome as usual.

moxy, you always have the funniest signatures.

MzzRach, there will always be so many new collections coming out but traveling will bring you loads of good times and good memories.

Allinbee, summer rose is very light, hardly noticeable on a lot of people here, but On A Mission is an acutal blush so will be a lot more pigmented and show up on a lot of people.

macgirl, I can't believe bright future sold out already. I might just order online but would prefer to see it in person.

ernie, thanks for the heads up on violet fire. Off my list.

Congrats to everyone else who got their goodies. There's too many pages to go through, hehe.
