MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

Great swatches and comparisons Pinkbasset thank you so much! But you made me want Saffron and Sun Blonde. I already wanted Swell Baby, Surf USA and Hibiscus. Ow well still not to bad i think

Surf USA looks quite different compared to the other teals and Sun Blonde seems to be this special weird colour like you said, love it

I had to go back to colour story info and see did Mac really describe Sun Blonde as "yellow with gold pearl". How dull is that compared to the swatch??
Surf USA looks like Sugarpill's Midori to me, it'd be interesting to see how similar they are side by side.

Thank you so much for the swatches PinkBasset! I think I will definitely be grabbing Surf USA and Sun Blonde. I was worried about Surf USA being too much like Shimmermoss, but you've shown it's WAY different. And Sun Blonde looks extremely unique as well. These are such fun colors! NowI just need to see good swatches of Naturally Eccentric, so I can decide if I want that, but otherwise the two eyeshadows will be it for me! They'll be my first MAC shadows since VV last year.

To me Sugarpill's Midori looks a lot greener, but i don't have Surf USA yet to compare.

Thanks PinkBasset - those swatches are very helpful! I think Sun Blonde is off my list because I wanted more yellow. I guessing on my skin it will just come off as gold. Temper Tantra looked horrid on me so I'm thinking I'll skip Krazy Kahuna now. However Good Lovin' is looking better to me.

I think my list is now:

Blue Noon
Gilded White
Saffron

Maybe:
Good Lovin'
My Paradise. I keep debating that one. I need another coral like a hole in my head but I suspect when this launches I'll freak and get it.

For everyone who is worried that My Paradise might look too orange, it definitely pulls deeper and more coral on my skin (NW15). It does not look as orange applied on skin as it does in the pan.

Thank you everyone who has seen this collection already for your opinions and swatches! I just chatted with someone at MAC US website, and she "regrettably could not confirm with me when this collection will be released in the Unites States." Does this mean that it may launch earlier than expected, similar to what I think happened with WW?

I have posted a couple of pics and some comparison swatches in the swatch thread already. MAC Surf Baby - May 2011 - Specktra.net MAC Makeup Community I don't think I'm confident enough to post pics of me wearing it.

My skin isn't the best condition right now.

As far as the release dates go, it's a mess over here too. We have 4 different websites to order MAC from, and they all have this collection on a different day.

Thanks for the comparision pictures Pink Basset! Surf USA is now on my list. I was concerned about it looking too much like other teals I have (Partylicious esp) But its much greener.
My list is still tiny yay. After this a no buy until Semi-Precious, it will be hard, but I must resist

Thanks for all the helpful swatches, guys . After studying everything, I've added one thing: Sun Blonde shadow. So my list is still tiny. I am so proud of myself. Shocker, though I am thinking about leaving the crushed metals behind! That and Hibiscus were always the things I wanted most, but these new pictures aren't doing it for me. I have similar pressed shadows that are probably easier to work with. I just don't know. Sun Blonde eyeshadow Hibiscus lipstick(I said 2 before, but I have to be sane and only get one) Gilded White eyeliner Surf the Ocean pigments(Big maybe at this point. I can't believe it. hboy
