MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

Sadly, my laptop "died". And because I`m a Mac girl all the way, those macbooks pro don`t come cheap. Sigh, i`ll probably skip everything till July and than only a little haul. Maybe I`ll find the 2 items I want in the recycle bin later this year. I couldn`t think you could get so attached to a laptop, but it`s my fun and work there

aww i'm sorry that your laptop has died - that sucks. it happened to me just before christmas so i know how upsetting and annoying it is

The release of Surf Baby is a bit of chaos over here. Apparently, some places got it on the 2nd of May, some didn't. The only place in Berlin that has it, is the MAC pro store. Even they didn't have the display, just the products laid out on a big tray

. I only got there yesterday so all the high buzz products are sold out (Hibiscus, Surf USA, Strange Potion, My Paradise). I wasn't interested in Hibiscus, but I was hoping I could at least swatch it...

I ended up only getting Gilded White e/l. I think it looks alright on my waterline. Not really a HG material, but it's neutral enough for a pop.
Also I swatched Sun Blonde e/s but it looked very yellow-greenish on me. No likey.

. I don't know how I could live without my computer/laptop either.... Hang in there! And if you can't find the MAC le you could always find something you love in other brands!

I am so excited for this to launch. I can't believe MAC UK pushed the official store release till next Thursday Oh well.

I cant wait for this launch. Some of the pigments look really captivating. I am just so afraid that by the time it hits the stores here, the whole world would already be raving about it

I have to say that I'm completely sold on the packaging. LOVE it. However I just don't see myself buying a whole lot from this which is unfortunate.

[/quote] Temptalia has side by side swathes of bust out ,up the amp, spitfire, style curve, and violetta. She said if u have up the amp to skip bust out. But obviously its best if you judge for yourself

otherwise i'm really doing well sticking to my "only buy what you don't already have in multiples" rule.
i have way too much stuff i don't use..

[/quote] Im also buying what i dont have and Swell baby is def on my list. I have yet to own a grey eyeshadow. Im only getting swell baby, hibiscus, and refined golden bronzer. Im also probably will buy the 214 brush depending on how much money i will have

HONESTLY IM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THE NEW SURF BABY COLLECTION!

ITS VERY 70'S INSPIRED, SANTA CRUZ, BEACH FEELING CATCHES MY ATTENTION A LOT!! AND ITS DEFINITELY ALL ABOUT A BRONZE BEACH TO NIGHT LOOK!!! WHICH IS AWESOME!!

THE SAFFRON EYE SHADOW IS COMPLETELY TO DIE FOR!!! IT GIVES A REALLY NATURAL SUN KISSED LOOKED IF USED IN THE CREASE... ALMOST LIKE BROWN SCRIPT!! AND OF CORSE HOW CAN U GO WRONG WITH A GREY AND CHAMPAGNE FROST EYE SHADOW LIKE SHORT SHORTS AND SWELL BABY!! I AM DEFINITELY GETTING SAFFRON WHEN IT COMES TO THE EYE SHADOWS!!

AND THE PIGMENTS ARE REALLY REALLY PRETTY!!! WAY BETTER THEN THE SPRING COLOR FORECAST ONES MAC HAD IN THE PAST!! YOU CAN USE THEM WET OR DRY ... AND SINCE PIGMENTS ARE PURE COLOR... THE COLOR PAYOFF IS AMAZING!!!

I REALLY THINK THE SUNTINTS ARE GOING TO BE THE BIGGEST HIT OUT OF THIS COLLECTION MINUS THE BRONZER WITH THE HIBISCUIS FLOWER!! THE BRONZER STICKS ARENT GOING TO DO SO GOOD... THEYRE VERY VERY FULL COVERAGE AND WITHOUT A PROPER TECHNIQUE, VERY DIFFICULT TO USE!!

I don't trust temptalia's swatches. Unrealistic lighting not only modifies colors but finishes. I want somebody to swatch them (plus T didn't include rebel) in "realistic" conditions lol.
