[/quote] Ah! I forgot Sun Blonde! I felt like I was forgetting something. hboy: I like that Sun Blonde has this dirty yellow to it that doesn't make it gold. I've had my fill of gold shadows. Colors like Surf USA don't really interest me. I have enough shadows in the teal/blue/green family that it's just useless. I have all the shades in that family from Love that Look, Lovelace and perm shades like Aquadisiac, Freshwater, Aqua, Sassy Grass, etc. I just don't need it. I know it's a hot color, but not my personal favorite. I'm all about green, gray and the occasional blue. You really can't lose with any shadow, it seem like Temptalia said. Buy what you love or what you think you need/will get the most use of. I wonder how KK will look over Casablanca by Nars. :drools: A strong color like Hibiscus I will wear alone. I know I don't really like anything over Toxic Tale, so that's the best way for me.

I think what I'm going to do is hold off on ordering Short Shorts online, wait until it launches at counters, and bring Fresh Daisy with me so I can swatch both there.

I wonder how KK will look over Casablanca by Nars.

A strong color like Hibiscus I will wear alone. I know I don't really like anything over Toxic Tale, so that's the best way for me.

i just googled casablanca! it looks pretty orange though.. im worried that orangey lipsticks makes ur teeth look more yellow. do u find that happening?

[/quote] No, not at all. Strangely, I don't believe I own any lipsticks that make my teeth seem yellow. Maybe that's because even though my teeth aren't the prettiest, they are relatively white(despite my many lattes). Casablanca is like a deep orange/coral. On my lips anyway. It fits right in with this collection to pair with Saffron, KK and even SP. It's sort of Mocha's more orange cousin, but not an obnoxiously bright orange. Also, if you're worried about the orange factor, KK can bring that down a bit.

hmm.. i will definitely consider it.. i dnt like the odd smell that nars lipstick has.. i just got roman holiday and it smells kinda funky.. im prob used to mac's vanilla smell thats why..

casablanca is definitely gg on my wishlist though..

That's odd. Most of my Nars lipsticks have that non smell. Kinda like clay or something. It's not scented so it has that "product" smell, but I don't notice it while wearing it. I have a couple of Nars lipsticks that have a faint citrus scent. It's delicious, but I don't know why it's there.

yup it smells clay-ey.. i like the mac lipsticks vanilla-y smell.. bt its definitely preference as some pple hate the mac lipstick smell..

[/quote] You're welcome! I know how you feel about this collection, it was supposed to be a total skip for me as I absolutely hated the packaging but then the more I looked, the more I wanted lol! In fact, I've now placed another order for Sun Blonde as I didn't get it the first time!

I love that NARS products are not fragranced!! It makes me so happy when I use their lipsticks and lipglosses and don't have that super sweet scent (or super floral scent of some brands). I can't use any of Mac's lipglasses and especially their lipgelees because the vanilla scent is so incredibly strong. I can handle the lipsticks since the smell fades more quickly or you can de-scent the lippie with the cap off a few days.

Unfortunatly both Careblend Powders seem to be quite orange

The texture of CPs is so great and it would be nice to have a bronzer with the smooth texture of a CP.

But I think they are both not suitable for me because I am a very fair and cool toned....

Ok, now that I've seen more swatches, I don't think I want Surf USA anymore. It'll be either the teal pigment set, KK lipgloss or nothing.

I have now tried both the Careblend Bronzer and the Skinsheen Bronzer Stick. I will post pictures of the stick later, but I just wanted to share my experience with the careblend with you.

It is by far the bronzer I have tried. Ever. And I have tried them all, It is so smooth, soft and easy to blend. It just blends by itself. It is completely fool proof and there is no way you can make this look bad. It is just the most beautifull bronzer texture I have ever tried. You must give this a try and MAC just HAS to make this perm.

Unfortunately, my province has 13% tax, so I'm not sure if I can justify getting any more! definitely thinking about strange potion and billionaire bronze though!

If you order through the web site and get enough to qualify for free shipping (your order would be more than enough), you can save money, because they only charge you the federal tax. Only province where I'm not sure this would apply is Ontario. That would probably be enough to buy you another item, no?

I haven't got my parcel yet

It is at the local DHL depot waiting to be put on a van grrrr. It is unlikely to be delivered now as it has gone past 4pm on a Saturday and I doubt they deliver in the evening. How annoying! Now I will probably have to wait until Monday. I ended up placing a second order for Lush-Light Bronze Careblend Powder, I lurrrve how it looks on Christine and looks like a natural tanned colour, the lighter one looks a bit orangey to me. I hope it will work well on my skintone, I am just a tad lighter than Christine, somewhere between NC20-25 at the moment. I didn't order it before because I just wasn't sure but at an A- grade I think it is definately worth a try. I'm also glad I got Tan Tint bronzer stick, that looks really pretty and more subtle, can't wait to try it for myself. I thought it might fall in Christine's ratings but I am pleased it got a good grade from her as I was dubious about it before. I also ordered some more eyeshadow refils so I didn't have to pay postage and now I have filled my palette so bought another to start on! YAY!

MrsB, woah! Hibiscus is just gorgeous on you! It makes your eyes so bright and sparkly, love it. You should wear bright colours more often, especially red and coral tones. I think you should try Vegas Volt next, that would be another beauty on you. Thanks for the other swatches too!
