This is the first time where I didn't really have fun at the preview party. It was very poorly organized with their "free shirts". At first they told you that you will get a free shirt with a purchase that you can get painted and then at the counter the same person tells you that they have only 20 left and need to save them for someone else and they were really rude.. if you inform customers something then stick with it.
The collection was ok. It's funny, I wore Toxic Tale and a MA asked if I was wearing Hibiscus. Hibiscus was nice but nothing I haven't seen before. I bought the surf the ocean pigment stack which is very buttery and kinda wet in texture which is how I wanted them to be and Naturally Eccentric. Surf USA was surprisingly bright and on the green side but I have way more teals than I can handle haha. I will post pics on my blog later...

Sounds like this collection is gonna b a let down overall.....I'm sticking to my list....
What to do with your MAC Pigment – Episode 2 - if anybody buys melon pigment check out the latest specktra video on how to use it in other areas on your face!!

yeah it wasn't pretty! i think it was when they first launched. rags to riches was one of the meat ones!I must've missed those, Lou. Thank goodness. I know my 3n smells like melted, rotten crayons. I still love it, though. I'm glad I'm not compelled to buy any of these glosses.
oh and there is something very wrong with me! i still haven't used my blue pigment stack!!! i will do tomorrow - but i need to wash all my brushes tonight! they are kinda skanky and i'm running out of clean ones!

Can any body help me decide if I should get Refined Golden bronzer, or Gold-Go-Lightly Studio Care Blend ? I'm really wanting a bronzer this summer, and the only one I have is the cream one from last years To The Beach collection, which I'm not a huge fan of.

yeah that is not cool at all! naught macI am really annoyed! I still haven't had the missing Hibiscus lipstick arrive so I rang MAC again today, they have no record of a reissue on their system! The woman said she will ring me back tomorrow about it once she has spoken to the person who did it last time and some other department that sorts it out. To be honest, I don't care if I don't get it anymore, if I don't I just want my money back otherwise that is £14 that I've lost. I'm going to keep ringing them until it is sorted, it is not on!

No, the overspray for MP is quite thick, so it should last a good while as long as you're not heavy-handed while you use it.

Refined Golden is perm, so you can purchase it at any time unless you are interested in getting it in the special packaging.Can any body help me decide if I should get Refined Golden bronzer, or Gold-Go-Lightly Studio Care Blend ? Yeah, I swatched MP and used it today on my face, and the overspray hasn't budged. It's a gorgeous peach. I like this much better than marine life, which can go garish coral on some skintones. This is much friendlier to all skintones.
I think I'll get the pigment stacks on the next go around. We'll see what I'm in the mood for come June.
To those who went to the party... I didn't know the t-shirts were free! I was looking at them like: I am NOT paying for one of those things! I should have asked about it... but I was more interested in getting my product and getting out.
Also... to those who had a bad experience: I'm right there with you. I was there before they opened. It was supposed to start at 7:00, but they didn't let anyone in until 7:15. AND they were all in there putting on makeup and taking pictures of each other while we froze our booties outside the door. One lady went inside and was like HELLO!!!! IS THIS THING GOING TO START OR WHAT? She spoke on behalf of all of us, and I was grateful.
They just weren't ready.
And then one guy (who I shop with regularly) gave me crap about taking pictures of the product. He's like: YOU CAN'T PHOTOGRAPH THE PRODUCT! So I went to see the store manager and informed him that the products were on the pro site... and he said 'Snap away!'
By that time I was annoyed though... so I went home.
I'm much more familiar with the artists who are doing the Hollywood & Highland event (in June). Hopefully, that'll be a better experience.

My MUA called me before since the counter got Surf Baby in and I had already given her a small list of things to put on hold for me. Does anyone know how the white liner is? She added the teal liner for me since she assumed I'd like it, but she also said there's only 1 white liner left. Whenever she says it's the last one I feel pressure, but I'm trying to be practical now.

I'm throwing the gilded white liner back in. I used my mufe aqua eyes pencil in gold on my waterline today and I really liked it. So, I would like a white gold color, too. I can't pass up by chance that it may be awesome. I'm digging the pigment stacks less and less. The packaging, the price, most of all. It's a matter of what I want and what I need. I don't really need these colors because I kinda already have them and I do need to pay my bills. :haha:
