I'm skipping the online game this time. I want to see stuff in person before I buy. I think I'm going to make an early trip to my counter on Thursday.

You guys are making me want Surf USA. But I need to be strong and realize I have enough similar shades.

just don't look at the swatches and you will be fine! that is what hooked me!

I have a 20% Henri Bendel Coupon for my birthday so I think I will be getting my goodies on release day. I'm a neutrals girl but u ladies have been making me think about getting Surf USA! it would look so pretty on the lower lashline

I went yesterday to Mac Pro in NY and got Saffron, Sun Blonde and Surf USA eyeshadows, 2 Hibiscus lipsticks and Splashproof mascara since I needed a new one. I love everything I got and maybe want a few more things. I put some pics on swatch thread!

mocha and krazy kahuna looks great on you!! I bet sun blonde and saffron combo looks amazing. I meant to get gilty bronze bronzing stick and somehow ended up with billionare bronze I think I got confused and caught up in the excitement.

I saw this collec. in person yesterday...Wasn't very exciting...hibiscus looked nice but I have too many reds/oranges to care for it too much....I couldn't resist surf usa and it's so different from all the other teals I have......IT's more like melody of long ago i think!

[/quote] That's the thing: It's not really like anything. All the colors I think of either pull too blue or too green, too shimmery or not shimmery enough.

I recently jumped on the coral-loving train and after seeing swatch pics of Hibiscus, I might just have to buy my ticket to Hibiscus-ownership-ville! LOL

I might need to see this in person though...in some swatches it looks a little more orange, others a bit more red. I guess it all depends on skin tone and the natural color of lips. Im liking Bust Out too...I only own one purple, Aristo-Cat (FF '10)...but again, not sure if it would be/look too purple on me. Im a magnet to teal anything, so Surf USA may be coming home too!

I have Blue Absinthe from MAC which is a few years old. It is teal I am wondering it it looks like Surf USA. Does anyone have this who can swatch it next to Surf USA

Damn, damn, damn! I didn't need to hear this 'cause I was trying to talk myself out of not getting it because I have the NARS trio. I've scratched Hibiscus and all of the l/s except Strange Potion off of my list after seeing swatches.

I guess just hauling Surf USA is okay.

I'm trying so hard not to spend much more than my $50 gift certificate. Here's my list and what I'm talking myself out of LOL

Swell Baby (I need to add some greys to my palette)
Short Shorts (if I see the gold and its not too shiny)
Guilded white liner
back-to-mac Omega (my pan is empty! I've never done that before LOL)
back-to-mac Knight Divine or Scene (I'll decide when I get there)

That should run me about $10 over my certificate.

Now for what I'm convincing myself I don't need
Surf USA ...I love the swatches. But at my age I don't wear alot of teal. I like it on the lower lashline, but I use steamy almost every day for that. Plus I have many teal liners.
Oh hell, if I don't get Short Shorts, MAYBE I'll pick this up

Bust Out...gorgeous I admit. But I have one purple MAC l/s that I love and honestly 9/10 times I'll put on Creme d'Nude. I already have way too many l/s that I love and don't use.
Strange Potion l/g...when I want coral I know I can reach for my Made with Love l/s and Pink Lemonade l/g and I love them both


I'm sorry, I know I'm the minority, but I just don't feel love for Sun Blonde, Saffron, Hibiscus or My Paradise. The swatches are not swaying my opinion on that.

Stacks...both are beautiful!!!! But I know I never reach for pigments. I'd rather buy these colors in a summer dress LOL

I hope I don't sound negative. I think this is overall a beautiful collection. I just needed to talk myself out of buying more of what I don't need or won't wear.

I'm very excited to go to the launch party!

I was playing with the grey's in my stash and I got to Print. Wow. Why did I think that was close to Swell Baby. :crazy: It's way darker.
