I think it's interesting that the frustration level of people who've had issues getting/ placing their orders is contagious even for people (like me) who were able to get their items. I haven't personally had any issues, but I'm resentful of Mac for increasingly forcing their customer base to jump through these hoops... I still like them and want to see what they do next, but this sort of thing is definitely hurting my opinion of them. A couple of years ago, I was a real Mac loyalist. Now, the bulk of my makeup budget goes elsewhere.

I am still undecided about Bust Out (lustre finish)! ! Being still relatively new to MAC, I own a couple frosts and a cremesheen. How are lustres in pigmentation?

Thanks in advance for any response :)
There can be a lot of variation in how much coverage lustres give, but generally, they're less opaque than cremesheens and definitely less opaque than frosts. That said, Bust Out is a darker colour, so the coverage is pretty good. The natural colour of your lip will have a bit of an effect on how the colour "reads" on your lips (e.g., it will look a wee bit redder on red-toned lips), but you won't see your lip colour coming through.

Hopefully I won't have a problem with Macys. I have a giftcard that has been in my wallet for months that I keep forgetting about so I figure I'll use it on makeup.

I plan on getting Hibiscus l/s and either Sun Blonde e/s or Surf USA e/s. I can't decide which I would actually use and which is most unique. If Sun Blonde is very close to Jasmine I'll skip it. But Katred you are making me want it.

I've talked myself out of Surf the Ocean again. Yes, it's gorgeous. But, I never really used my stack from last year (maybe once) and I don't think I'll ever use it. I think I'd rather get a new quad since I desperately need some more neutrals.

I totally feel ya . . . those same feelings have been going back & forth in head for days now. I am really thinking about NOT even going to the store this Thursday so I dont get sucked into the hype.

I was sooooooo excited for it too, but the stress is just not worth it. I'll still keep a look out for it on Dillards and such, but if I dont get it its ok...cause those swatches for Semi-Precious......

this is very true for me also. things are very different with mac in this country, we don't sell out so quickly and generally the collections go online at the same time each month so we get into a nice routine. i don't understand why mac has so many stock issues for you guys - they are not creating more hype on products, just getting people more pissed!

After seeing some Semi Precious swatches, I am over the pigment stacks!!! I'm going to look forward to Semi Precious coming in July.

I know how frustrating this must all be for you guys. Back when I ordered Venomous Villains within minutes of it appearing on the site, I got my confirmation email and everything. Then hours later I had an email saying that by the time my order reached the warehouse several things were out of stock. Not having a MAC near me made it even worse, as I couldn't go and buy it the same way many others could. I was so upset, especially since I'd ordered immediately and without hesitation. Thankfully I managed to find a counter that was happy for me to buy over the phone, but the postage was way higher than if I'd bought through MAC online. I eventually managed to get all but one thing I was after, after the first package they sent me never arrived and they had to phone around to get replacements to send me. Now when I order from a new collection online, I am always worried that it might happen again.

I have found recently, that if I order on a launch day my confirmation email doesn't arrive for hours, or sometimes even days. If I order any other time my confirmation email is almost instant, so any lack of confirmation email people are experiencing is probably due to system overload.

I'm getting stressed for you guys too and I've got nothing to do with it! I wish MAC would sort things out, their IT sucks and they just don't have enough stock. I don't understand how they keep getting things so wrong and they do it in the UK too, I am STILL waiting for my refund! 7 more days to go until I ring and scream at them. £14 would pay for my train fare to work for 4 days and I'd have change for lunch, it really isn't on. I've got my fingers crossed for everyone, I hope you all get what you ordered and can track down the things that you missed. I agree that collections should be available for a limited amount of time or if they want to do limited runs then they should make more available. It is better business I would think because they will make more money due to the demand... duh!

All of the things that I have ordered have shipped, except for hibiscus. With no MAC counter that I can access, I guess I am SOL if I don't get it. But, after everyone on here has talked up Semi-Precious, I now have something else to look forward too ;]
