My card hasn't been charged yet, and my order still says pending... Hopefully everything will turn out ok. If I miss out, I will survive :)

I am wearing Surf USA today and it is SO pretty. Usually, I wear a light color on my lid, bright color in the crease, and a darker color in the outer V. Well, I was feeling a bit daring this morning, and am wearing Surf USA packed on the lid, Bio Green in the crease, a tiny bit if Gorgeous Gold above that and Sugar Pill Lumi (very similar to MAC Reflects Teal but with a whiter base) on the inner corners and as a highlight. Minted e/k under the lower lashes with Surf USA on top of that and Blacktrack to line with lots of black mascara. So fun for summer! :) As happy as I am with Surf USA, I don't regret passing on any of the other shadows. This one is the standout IMO.

That's tough ... I'm very pleased with my Surf USA and can't wait to play with it today, but Surf the Ocean definitely felt and looked unique when I swatched it. Like AudreyNicole I only bought 2 things from this collection -- Surf USA and Hibiscus -- but if I wasn't saving up I would have gotten Surf the Ocean too :)

Krazy Kahuna is one of my faves now. I tried it on last night and I absolutely love it! It's not a bunch of color but it is fairly opaque. It's the perfect neutral gloss for me. I think I'll get lots of use from it...especially since I plan on doing bright pretty eyes....I'll keep it simple with KK as my gloss.

April, I suppose if I *had* to choose, I would choose Surf the Ocean. I love Surf USA, but if you have other teals you could probably get by without it. The colors in StO are beautiful, especially the Aquamarine color. That being said, I played with them at the store, but had to order online, so I don't know how I will feel about them after applying them to the eye. I really wish I could just buy 2 of the colors of the stack though, because I don't think the silver and gold are all the unqiue. The silver one reminded me of Silver Fog or Platinum pigment, used wet.

Yesterday, while I was picking up my goodies, one of the MUA there was doing a look on this drop dead gorgeous girl (she was probably in the NW35-45 range). She used Swell Baby over the entire lid and Saffron in the crease, plus I think she used a mixture of Cork with Saffron. I'm not sure what she used for the highlight but it was gorgeous. And Mocha on the lips. She looked so natural and beautiful. I loved that look.

Anyway, I'm 100% in love with Surf USA. It's just like you girls have been saying, there's no dupe for it. I swatched Aquadisiac next to it and the bold greenness of Surf USA made Aquadisiac look like mint ice cream lol. Hibiscus is a must if you can get it. Sooo beautiful on and definitely wearable. I had to skip Naturally Eccentric. I had my heart set on it but it swatched weird and looked gross on my lips -- very streaky and spotted, even the MUA was unimpressed :(

Very pretty afulton!

I got my 2 shadows. I love and adore Sun Blonde. I tried it with Mekong (NARS) and that was quite the winner. (I suspect it would look good with Night Clubbing as well for an evening look but I haven't tried that yet.) Oddly enough it also looked good by itself and Undercurrent as a liner. I didn't think it would work but it was a fun look.

Saffron is so pretty. It did lack pigmentation but I loved the color. Then it caused my eye to turn blood red and itch, so clearly Saffron and I were not meant to be. So sad. I tried to convince my husband it wasn't that bad, but this morning when he had packaged it up and said he was mailing it so I wouldn't use it, I figured it must have been worse than I thought!

Anyway, my KK is on the truck for delivery today so I shall report back on that. I'm excited for it though!

Kate--I keep second guessing Sun Blonde when I hear people calling it poo and vomit. I haven't worn Jasmine in a while but I do like it. I've hit pan on it. OK so Sun Bonde will come home with me also. I called today and checked that they are still holding my items.

I finally popped into henri bendel to use my coupon and only got short shorts and swell baby eyeshadows from surf baby! I also go all that glitters and quarry in pan form, pink lemonade (since it's supposed to be like strange potion), and oyster girl!

Surf the Ocean: Defective???

Ok so I opened up my new freshly purchased box of Surf the Ocean. Just bought this yesterday and this is my first time opening it.
The gold shade is damaged and is not in chunky powder form as how it appeared in the store, its a BIG HARD GLOB.It's like a stiff gel but much more solid.
And it looks like its half empty or more,
probably because it is compressed into this thing. It has a strange oil smell too.
The dark blue and silver shades are normal and completely filled to the top.
HOWEVER
The sea foam shade is less than half full! What the heck happened to this thing?
Where is MAC's quality control inspections. Irritated I have to drive back to the MAC store to exchange it. Did any one else notice any defects from MAC lately?
Or from these pigment stacks? This is my first one.

I had the same problem with the Bronze shade but apparently it's suppose to be like that is what I was told. So I don't think we have anything to worry about.

While my gold pigment was globbed up it wasn't hard nor did it smell funny. I've been hearing that most people that have gotten the Surf the Ocean stack has gotten a ball of gold pigment.
