Congratulations Jenn!!!!

Face2Mac girl I feel you on the heat! for right now Im winging it with mascara and some gloss until I can avoid a meltdown.

Lou! Try the Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. I find it to be creamy and it offers great coverage.

Finally got Sun Blonde!

Saffron should be here tomorrow, which make my SB e/s collection complete.
Just ordered Sun Blonde! I didn't get it originally but I decided I can't live without it....

Love your suggestions.

Work that lipstick out. My new obsession with Hibiscus is Sock Hop l/g because it is a cream and not frosty like SPotion and the midwest is in a monster heat wave right know and all I can think about is lipstick.  Anything else on the face just seems to much in 100degree weather except for Feline and SFF powder. I can't work up the energy for  anything else but I do stare at my Sun blonde and Surf USA dying to wear them.
It's pretty hot here, too. In the mid to high 90s this week. I still put on my full face, though. Thankfully my mufe foundation holds up amazingly. Whether or not I wear a lot of make up depends on whether I can muster up the energy to A: put it on and B: take it off later. Taking it off is the annoying part because when I get home I just wanna crash. I might try to go without tomorrow and just fill my brows and put on some lipstick, but every time I try to do that I'll check myself out in the mirror during the day and go  :nono: .

Wow, it suddenly became so warm and I am utterly grateful for A/C. Luckily, it is supposed to cool down towards the end of the week. But I won't complain, I much rather dwell in New England summers than freeze in New England winters.

Shontay, I blame you for my Sun Blonde order, but I

it.

My haul for this collection:

Short Shorts
Surf USA
Sun Blonde

Hibiscus

Strange Potion

I still haven't had the chance to play with them. I only wear colorful makeup on the weekends and I was lazy and sat in the house all weekend except for church - and I wore red and black that day which in no way would have gone with my goodies. Anyhow, I hope everyone got what they wanted!! On to the next collection now, lol.
:haha: Sun Blonde is amazing. :bigstar: See, I'm the opposite: Winter doesn't bother me. All I hate is the ice and, to a lesser extent, snow. However, I can hang out all day in the cold. This heat, though? I stay up under the AC and if I have to wait more than 1 minute for the bus, we've got a problem. Also, I do everything in my power to avoid a tan. I hate getting a tan. I was born with one already. Anything more and I look like some Oompa Loompa/Gingerbread cookie hybrid. Ug, this thread is making me lemming a round 2 of this collection--wishing I had gotten Saffron, Surf USA, Sun Blonde and KK. Is the SB Saffron really hard to work with?

Those of you who bought STO, based on your experience and playing with it for a while, would you purchase it again or would you pass?

Noooo, the gold pigment is fading again. Maybe it's a bad reaction with the NYX jumbo pencil.
Like I was saying earlier on in this thread - don't apply it with a wet brush, don't apply it over a pencil or base that's too oil-based, do apply it over shadow (over Sun Blonde or Surf USA, anything from either stack is just to die for) or over powder like Careblend or a very dry finish primer with good absorption.

In order of beautiful and long lasting results for all the Surf Baby Crushed Metals for me, my bases go:
Big Bounce (keeps sheer, but gets a little 2-tone action, long wearing, extra sparkle)
Careblend Powder (keeps sheer, good for day or night, good wear)
Eye Shadow (gets rid of the sheerness, more dramatic, can potentially wear an eyeshadow base too without the weird results, so excellent wear)
Dry-ish eye primer (reduces some sheerness by allowing a heavier application, less wear overall - I use Clarins)

Didn't get good results applied wet - it gets crumbly and rough. Also didn't like the results over Grease Paint Sticks - reduced wear time and just didn't enhance anything about the texture. Also, as you can see from my list, I prefer maintaining the sheerness and liquid metal effect of these colors as much as possible. If I'd wanted a dense, velvety texture, these really would not be the best products to use in the first place - normal pigments would be way better.
I would pass. It's not worth the price, in my opinion. Should've stuck to my gut. The silver is lovely and vibrant and so is the gold and the dark blue. However, they are not unique at all. The only unique color, the aqua shade, is a total fail on me. Others have said it's fine on them, but for me, it skips and there's too much glitter/shimmer left behind when removing it. It's a gorgeous color, but it could've been better executed. That color was the reason why I decided to buy the stack. It's just not necessary if you have similar colors already. Oh and the fact that the gold melts so damn easily is another reason to skip. I wish they had been sold separately and then I would keep the silver shade.

I'd purchase it again and again and again. I'm actually a little worried I'm going to use up the gold, silver and light green - which is really saying something for me.

The texture of all the colors are phenomenal and ultra-modern and let me really rock a liquid metal effect without accentuating any middle-aged eye issues the usual super-frosted shadows and pigments give me trouble with. These are the perfect summer colors and textures - I do not want to run the slightest risk of looking like someone who is trying too hard with her makeup, but I still want to look fierce as hell. I honestly can't picture it getting much better than this unless I wanted to spend $40+ per individual color on those Armanis. I'm using STO and Summer Stash daily in many different types of looks and am pleased as punch.

Right, that makes sense. The gold is a completely different texture and formula, almost like a cream. My other cream eyeshadows work fine under just Too Faced SI, so I'll try it with just that next time.

 Liba. He's probably like "what??". It's funny have to have different perspectives like ours. You just have to weigh the pros and cons. So much depends on your personally expectations, what you already own and what a product actually does on your skin.

Haha, I'm fine, but still undecided. I am mainly interested in the gold, but I might be better off with getting a pigment, such as Golden Lemon.
If you liked that foiled/metallic kinda look and you are willing to look outside of Mac, Mufe has metal powders very similar to the gold pigment in STO. They come in about 4 different shades of gold and they are gorgeous(and they don't melt).
