Well, atter reading about seven pages of posts, my list has dwlindled drastically. I will probably skip both quads, bronzers, chuncky monkey pencils and nail polishes. I am considering RFL, but I do aleady have Ripe Peach. HN is a pass for me. Now the lipglasses, that is another story. I love shiny, sparkly lips. I will probably get all the lipsticks too. I can usually smush them together to come up with a nice combo ... porn-star lips are my favorite! They just make me feel so sassy :) Maybe I'll get the liquid strobe, but I am still on the fence on that one. I guess it will allow me more $$$ to spend on AAO.

Okay. I have a question: how do these launches work? I know a lot of people will buy online but I mean at the stores, what will it be like? I plan to be there at opening for this collection. I have the day off on the 23rd. That and the collection release may or may not be related.

You know I'm loud talking and as soon as I get to the counter, I'll spend my whole check. ;-D
i know what you mean. historically i tend to keep going back and buying more items from the summer collections...heck i even just procured one of the to the beach blushes last month!

to be honest i'm not really put off by the small weight of product in the pencils....it takes me ages to finish anything - including pencils. and if it means there is less to go bad, then all the better. if it's a pencil that will dry up, well that's another crappy thing that can happen if they throw too much product in there. the only pencil i'm questioning is the black, which is surprising for me, but it's just that it looks more oily green than i had hoped...i was kinda looking for something to replace my black greasepaint stick.

Seeing as there isn't any "stand out, hype-induced, gotta buy every single one i can get my hands on" items, it'll be like any other day at the counter.

Hmm, okay. Thanks for your input! I'm just not sure what to expect because I went in two days after Baking Beauties released and a.) it was packed and b.) they were picked clean of several items. :/

Very good points! I hadn't thought about that...

If you went two days after it was released, then that would've been a weekend, which might explain the crowd. I think she meant it won't be crazy crowded with things selling out quickly (like with Marilyn Monroe for example). If you're there at opening on 5/23, then you might be able to play with the testers and still get everything you want. :)

Exactly! Baking beauty weekend was also the first prom weekend, as well as event weekend for many locations. If you go on launch day, it won't be bad. If you wait til the weekend again for this launch, some thing will be sold out, and it will be the first summer weekend for many schools. Basically, waiting til launch weekend isn't advised. Launch day is always best to get what you want. :nods:

While I love HN, I have an Inglot blush that cures the lemming. Here's a swatch, if anybody's curious. :)

I'm so with you all on BMS. It's very dupable. But it's just so gorgeous. And I know I'll regret not getting it. And I only own 3 MAC quads, none neutral. Think I'm going to break out my lady grey quad tomorrow. Love that quad!

Sorry doll. These specific fatties cannot be depotted. Because they are quick setting, they need to remain in the pencil casing they come in, with the lid on tight. If you notice, these are in the same pencil casing as the powerpoints and pearlglides, and they set like those two formulas as well. If the lid is left off, these, like the PPs and PGs, will dry up and harden.
I've tried depotting fatties with mixed results and now I know why!

Great tip, thanks

Not that I'd depot any pencils anyway. Wouldn't dare. I haven't even depotted an e/s! I have decapitated and disembowelled two tubes of UD Primer Potion though. The old tube, I mean. Ye gods, so much product in the tube that the wand wouldn't pick up because of the fancy schmancy packaging!

So I'm not a complete lost cause. Can I have a biscuit?
