I ended up going by to check out this collection and ended up with a small haul! I picked up Buddy Up MB, Naked and In Synch liners and Just Superb cremesheen. Just Superb looked pretty over In Synch. I'm hoping I picked out a good Buddy Up. One tester I tried made it seem like a nice rosy colour, but it swatched more corally with another tester. So I picked one up that had a bit more of the mauvey colour hoping it'll be more rosy. This is why I prefer the solid MB's better! I did think overall that these were just as shimmery as the bunch from last year, perhaps a bit finer milled on a few of them.

it's what i always used to do!

Is concealer lip safe? I've not tried that before because I just cannot bring myself to put concealer on my lips.

Anyway I usually go for bolder lip colors, so concealer or not they will definitely show up on me!

Anyway I tried swatching Gaga on my hand, and then swatched Gaga layered over Naked l/l on my hand. Seems like Naked l/l made the lipstick color appear more 'muted'?

As for RIT, I think it's similar to By Candlelight but RIT seems alot more bright and shimmery. By Candlelight seems more subtle and natural.

Yeah, but upon swatching on my hand, it didn't seem that similar to Hot Planet but I cannot be sure unless I see a side-by-side comparison of the two. I have By Candlelight, but somehow I think it runs pinker than RIT. RIT looks like a nice peachy champagne color to me.

I swatched Naked liner and.. the light pink one, whatever it's called, today. They are both pretty yellow based, and thus not for me. Since these two were the products I was possibly interested in, this collection is a skip for me.

I tried Naked liner under Ravishing l/s and it turned into the most gorgeous milky-peachy-pink I've ever seen that actually showed up on me but in twenty minutes it became a regular orange-peachy Ravishing, just a bit brighter than usual. Which I love anyways
yes.gif
So, Naked liner may lighten your lipstick a little but not dramatically, it blends with lip color eventually
th_dunno.gif
I did apply just a dab of sheer goldish-beige gloss before filling my lips with Naked and smudged the outer edges to avoid a distinct whitish line from Naked around my lip lines. Naked concealed some redness over my upper lip just beautifully
thmbup.gif
The nude gloss underneath was BE Whimsy, discontinued a while back; MAC Gold Dust might be very similar. I apply gloss or lip balm under all cremesheens lately but many of you don't need to. I'll try that same thing with In Synch tomorrow and see if it adds more pink to Ravishing.

If you have MAC Test Pattern liner, it's in the same pale family with Naked and In Synch, just a touch darker/cooler-pink with some lavender (Stila glaze l/l in Lavender is almost a dupe for Test Pattern, maybe a bit darker).

Scott Barnes lip pencil in See Through Pink, Chanel gloss pencils in Rose Honey and Mandarin and Cover Girl gloss pencils are somewhat close but a little darker and are very sheer. No opacity with those. My palest nude ever (Stila glaze liner in Mocha) looks so dark next to Naked. Philosophy's Nude liner is even darker than Mocha. A pale liner from Body & Soul (Riddle) and MAC Summerfruit look almost orange near Naked. MAC Creamkiss is pinker and also darker with some light brown to it. Before seeing Naked, DH said most of my liners look the same on my hand anyway

Only Specktra folks could really appreciate a nude liner obsession for pigmented lips.

That's it, I'm going back this weekend for Naked l/l. SCF will be launching this week as well. Even if I don't buy anything from SCF, I will still come back with Naked.

I have Test Pattern, though haven't used it quite a while because I found it far too cool for my skintone. I think In Synch is definitely a ton more yellow based, but definitely the same in terms of paleness.

I used Buddy Up this morning and I adore it! It's just a nice fresh rosy colour on the warm side. Very flattering. So glad I decided to skip Dirty Plum and looked at this instead.

i brought 2 vitues last week and having now seen all the swatches for rhaposody in two i really want to go back and get it.

However this would mean breaking my only one item from each collection rule

HG item for me since my lips are so dark. and it doesnt make me go blue lol Hope the counter still has the liners when I go in for liberty of london

I had a peek at this collection today.

I came away with only Naked lipliner - I was very tempted by rhapsody in two but as others have said, it is similar to by candlelight so I gave it a miss.

Definatly going back for fashion scoop but as it is perm I didnt rush in, waiting til I have more monies

I love the creamsheens, especially Richer Lusher. It's such a nice MLBB peachy color. It's too bad MAC can't make them the same size as the lipglasses.

So after wearing my blushes for a couple of days now, they're alright, but nothing really special. I like Sun & Moon the best of the three that I picked up - I think it will especially look good this summer, as it has a bronze-y warm look on me. RIT looks just like any other highlighter or pinky-peach MSF that MAC so regularly makes and Bi-tone is a touch too glittery for me.
Buddy Up still sounds like it has potential, but I don't think I'll be spending any more money on this crop of blushes.

I am regretting my choice to not get Naked. (LOL at how absurd that would sound to anyone else than beloved Specktra family).
So I will definitely be adding some Naked goodness to the Liberty of London goodies coming home with me later this week.

Although I don't think it was this thread, I am glad I am not the only one having issue with the scent of the Chanel Rouge Coco lippies. I am so bummed that they have that horrible rose/floral nasty, overpowering scent. I am returning the 3 of them I bought. They actually made me nauseous. And Rose Comete was so pretty!

I just did not care for them this time around, maybe Buddy Up but I probably won't get it.

Ohhh, I so hear you on the Chanel coco!

I have been debating all day as to whether or not I should return mine too. I used the naked liner tonight & put Rose Comete over it & it was soooo pretty. It seemed like it deadened the smell somewhat
th_dunno.gif
but yeah, it made me nauseous too. It smells like old ladys perfume - eewww I don't know what I will do. How disappointing
