I was so close to ordering Famously Fab and Check This Out lipglasses and had to resist them since I'm saving up for Shop Shop Shop/Cook Cook Cook Collection.

I will try it with Violetta.
It works so beautifully with Rebel, though, that even if it goes with *nothing* else I own, it'll be well worth having, just to pair with Rebel.
I plan to wear that combination this weekend.

Okay, I was having trouble keeping track of all these and then I could not find the color story!

So who wants to help me match these up???


So far I have: Embrace Me (vivid pinkish fuchsia) a good pair for for Pink Pigeon, CYY, etc???

Entertain Me: (Orange) match for Scarlet Ibis, Morange, etc. and similar to Temp Rising but not as bright

Have to Have It (warm beige) PERM??? Is this the one that's similar to Boldly Bare but warmer? I am guessing this would be a good pair with nudes like Shy Girl, Siss, Gaga 2?

Hip & Happy (dirty blue pink) ? Is this similar to Mehr or Syrup??? [need input on this one]

Just My Type (warm, intense, brown Match for Cyber? Kraft? Help me out here

Just Wonderful (Dirty mauve) PERM??? This is the one that matches Rebel?

Lasting Sensation (Bright coral) is this the Flamingo matcher? Or more like a pencil version of Hibiscus and a pair with Party Parrot???

What Comes Naturally (pale, beiged pink) I am thinking a match for Hue, Creme Cup, etc.???

Yep. It may be a bit orange for SI, if you want it to stay looking more on the red side. I tested all of these lip pencils out against Temperature Rising and I'd have to say that TR is like a perfect halfway cross between Lasting Sensation and Entertain Me. Dilemmas, dilemmas......

Yep to how it comares to BB - it's a nude that doesn't work for me so I don't have any of the lipsticks you want to match it with :(

This is the one I love with Flamingo, which reads pink on my lips anyways - this brings out the pink even more and makes it a really brilliant, bright, retro color - I love this combo.

I suppose you could use it with Mehr, although at least on me, Mehr is quite a bit less blue and light. For me, the perfect match with Mehr is Dervish, from the perm line. Dervish is also my #1 MLBB lip pencil from MAC and I really wish there was a Pro Longwear lip pencil that matched that shade (all of the ones that are close are way too much more brown).

I dunno why they call it a warm brown - it's cooler than any of the other dark brown lip pencils they do. Yes, it's great for Cyber, Dark Knight etc. because it doesn't add red undertones. I'd say this is a must buy if you wear black lipstick and cool vampy tones like Cyber, etc.

Rebel and so many more colors!!! I love this one since it works for all these mauve and purple lipsticks without adding extra red to any of them, but staying close enough to a natural lip color that it looks nice even if your lipstick layer is starting to fade. Another must buy if you have a ton of MAC purple lippies.

I wouldn't use this with Flamingo (see above), but if Flamingo is too light for you, it could take care of that. Definitely will work with Party Parrot. It's not as red or orange as Hibiscus, but I could see it paired up with that one if you want to make it look brighter and more pink coral. Mostly I think I'll be using it the way I've used Temperature Rising, which is just wearing it on its own, with a little sheer gloss.

I didn't bother with this one at all (the only one I didn't even test). It looked enough like Naked that I skipped checking it out, as I don't really use my Naked as it is. If I'm going to wear a really pale lipstick in the first place, I tend to not like liner with it, because it always looks a bit better when a touch of my natural lip color can come through and merge with the paleness of the lipstick.Your mileage may vary, though.....

Haha, as you can see, the lip pencils were my thing in this collection...in fact, the only gloss I bought was Comfort & Joy, though I would have gotten Rich & Witty too, if I'd needed a replacement for Spree.

Hip N' Happy is LE sadly. Even though that lip liner would be excellent to be part of the permanent line.

Yes, at least to NW15 me, Just Wonderful is a slightly toned-down lip liner version of Rebel. The "dirty mauve" description is a little misleading; I find Just Wonderful to be a fairly "clear" color.
To me, "dirty" implies brownish tones, and Just Wonderful doesn't have those; it's more of a blue-based color.

I hope I can stop myself from backing up Just wonderful, since I don't think it's a color I'll reach for that often.
But, dang it, there's no color like it in MAC's permanent line!
Anyone know if there's a dupe in another brand?

Just as I was about to finally get Embrace Me, it's sold out. I noticed that it's on backorder at Nordstroms so maybe they will restock it and Style Packed-which I was going to buy too then it poofed :(

I got Lasting Sensation l/l and Check This Out l/g yesterday and I love Check This Out! It is so pretty!! Knockout has been sold out online. I plan to get Famously Fab l/g online soon. I have not been obsessed with Tinted Lipglasses in a long time. Usually I go for Dazzleglasses and Cremesheen Glasses. For those who missed out on Embrace Me l/l, the dupe for it is the Prolongwear Lip Liner in More To Love and it could be close to Embrace Me if anyone owns both.

That is good to know because Embrace Me is limited edition and it is great that there is a dupe which is perm.
Especially because MAC releases so many bright pink lipsticks and you always need such a l/l for them.
