Erine, I have a question that might not be able to be answered. (I think we talked about this before too, but...) I use NW35 in SFF and NC42 in studio finish concealer. I hardly use the concealer anymore, it is super dried up and it seems so orange and dark on me, it doesnt seem to cover anything. Im not sure if Im supposed to be using the nc42 concealer on my acne, or under my eyes. The whole thing just confuses me.

don't you worry, its a medium-full that can be sheered down!

if you use concealer on your face, you should use the same color as your foundation. if you use the concealer under your eyes, more times than not you'll want to go with an NW, but that's not always the case. just today i matched a woman with concealer, and the NW was too pink. did an NC under her eyes and it looked much better.

On another note: I heart Lavendar Whip. I want to bathe in it.

we just got nw20 instock today, so i'm sure it'll surface everywhere else sometime soon.

Why did he add the NC15 and not NW15? Because it would be too pink for you? He wanted to make it more neutral? I've never done this but now I have to try it.

I ran into the store today and just bought a NW20 concealer (my usual shade) without trying it on.

The NW20 foundation looked very dark in the tube. So did the NC20. Are people combining foundation colours or are they going one shade lighter?

i am both yellow and pink. he took the nw20 and just added a bit of nc15 to add some yellowness, but not too much. and with there being a difference between the two, it didn't cancel each other out. it just added the right amount of yellow to the pink. normally if people need to mix its cuz they fall inbetween two colors of the same undertone. not both like me. most people would mix, say, nw30 and nw35 if they're an nw32. usually people don't mix two different undertones.

besides, he's konstantine. always listen to konstantine!

you tend to use less concealer this way cuz your foundation is providing some coverage. and you don't wipe away all of your concealing work with the foundation.

like moxy said, its complete shit for concealer, but makes a wonderful lip brush! the 195 streaks less and the pointed tip gets into tight spots.

The foundation seems to run true for me.

I went back to the store and bought NC20 foundation. I also have the NW20 concealer.

I swatched them beside my NW20 and NC20 Studio Finish Concealers and they all seem very similar although these new concealers look a touch darker.

Wait, I take that back. The NWs are all very similar, but my NC Studio Finish Concealer is lighter than the NC Studio Sculpt concealer.

In other words, these have to be played with in the store and tried in bright sunlight to know for sure.

No I used some cheap NYC waterproof pencil liner in black on my "walking out the door while putting makeup on" moments. lol But I do use blacktrack on other days.

Okay so I love this foundation, I think this is it. The search ends here. Im not going to even try MUFE HD now. I hate liquid but the texture of this is so different to me. It really is like a gel. I was so over my Studio Stick as sometimes it would break me out but it gave the coverage I needed and was buildable. However, this one feels so LIGHT! And a lil goes a long way. Just a lil squeezy squeeze and you're done! The MA used the foundation brush on me but I will honestly say, it didn't apply evenly as my 183 does. So I re did it at home and VIOLA! MAGIC! I am so stoked that I bought this.
The concealer is also a dream! It doesn't cake, its not runny, its just creamy and blendable. I am so greatful that these will be perm. B/c everyone should have this, you just can't go wrong!

I very rarely use foundation on its own as I find it too cakey and heavy...most mornings I mix a drop in with my moisturizer. Because this is a different formula would this work mixed with a moisturizer?

I bought the foundation and concealer yesterday... i was matched to a NC20 in the foundation. I have to say... this is great. I put it on this morning and it feels so light... like there is nothing there but it definately evened out my skin colour and covered up the redness in my cheeks. So far... i love it.

I didn't try the concealer but did I get the right colour in the concealer. I have been reading through the thread and it says that you should get the opposite of what you get for the foundation and the concealer actually runs darker than the foundation. I am so confused

My rosacea did not like this foundation, unfortunately. Within a matter of hours I had tightness and burning. I'm not sure whether to chalk it up to the chemical sunscreen or something in the mixture of "Quercus Suber Bark Extract and Octyldodecyl PCA which, combined with a special new polymer, help to provide a more perfect, smoother, tighter looking complexion", because it was the same reaction my face has to Prep + Prime Face Protect SPF 50 (I can only use the regular Prep + Prime Skin), but in any event I will be sticking with my Chantecaille Future Skin and Real Skin SPF30.

Okay so for the oily skinned ladies.....
I applied this over my Oil Control lotion & MAC Prep + Prime as usual. I found that it has a satin, but not shiny finish. It's definitely a medium to full coverage foundation. The coverage IMO is just like SFF which is great & it feels really nice & light on the skin. After applying it I buffed some blot powder over it to matte it out & it looked really nice. After a few hours I did start to get pretty shiny & not just in my T-zone, but all over. So I buffed some more blot powder on top & it matted it out again just fine. A few hours later when I got home, I checked my face in the bathroom mirror & I was still really matte & saw that the foundation wears really well. Over all I was very pleasantly surprised on how it did with my super oily skin. I thought I was going to be touching up every 30 minutes, but that wasn't the case at all! So, if you are oily don't be afraid to try this! Just make sure you have blot powder on hand for little touch-ups, which you have to do with any foundation anyway. I can see myself alternating between this & my SFF. I give it 2

Thank you so much Nyla2120! You give my super oily face hope!
Of course I caved and bought the foundation today.

I got matched to NC15 which is a bit lighter and less yellow/more pink than SFF in NC15.

Swatches in daylight on the NC15 scary pale back of my hand from the left to the right:
SFF in NC15, Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC15, SFF in NW15

Well it passed the test! I didn't budge even after I took a nap. I have been sick the past few days and been running warm and still didn't budge!
It ran true to color for me, NC25. I really love it!
My chin is my problem area with a few problem zits & I usually have to pack on the concealer on top of my SFF. But, with stuff it covers beautifully without concealer!

So would you all recommend going to the counter to pick the right shade or should I just stick to the same shade as my Studio Fix? Also what would you recommend to set this with. The Blot Powder or Select Sheer Powder? I have been using my Mineralize Skinfinish natural to set my foundation, but it seems like a bit to much.

I went to a MAC counter yesterday, and they didn't have this out yet.

The MA said it wasn't supposed to launch till Saturday... ???

Edit - And I just called the F/S store near me and they already have it out. Ya know? If it's just a matter of not having received the shipment, just say so.
