not really. this foundation is tricky, so you need to get matched in person to get the right color.

I used the 187 to place it all over my face and after I use a sponge to blend it more. I think you should try this

I had a similar problem too when I first tried this. I was using the 190 brush and "painting" it on. It was bad coverage and not really blending into my skin at all! I was ready to take it back I hated it so much. Then I saw this video by Enkore and I have been just "dotting" it on with the 187 (it does take a little longer). SUCH better coverage and looks like an airburshed finish! I am still not entirely happy with finding something to set it though... I am really obsessed with not having any shine though (and in FL that is prob not ever going to happen haha).
Here is the video:

YouTube - Do you Stipple, then Swirl?

Right now I have tried the pressed blot powder with bronzer over that (works pretty well but after a few hours, I still get that "shiney" look). I have used the MSF Natural powder foundation a couple times and not really happy with the look... I love the natural look I get but I don't feel like it really does much to set it.

I think the foundation is great though! Once you get the hang of it. I am really happy with it overall.. if I get the glossy look under control it will be awesome

Not sure what ur doing wrong..but I use my 109 brush for applying it..I don't do my whole face at once since u have to move quick w/it b4 it dries...

I wonder if the shiney is the dewey look that it gives u...I do shine with SFF but this shine is not the same more sweaty..not gross though..but I do know it's supposed to give a dewey look...

I do have this problem.. I tried it in a MAC corner, MUA said it is his favourite foundation so far and he applied a tiny bit with 190, it didn't set.. Then he tried to spread it with 187. Then with sponge.. Nope, it just doesn't set like a normal foundation. It literally sits on my face, looked like I used one of those ancient foundations, the ones that look like a mask on your face and scream "Hello, I'm foundation"

I was thinking that I'm the only one unhappy about this foundation.. Strange how it doesn't work for me.. My skin is usually not problematic or sensitive

That is strange, maybe it just doesn't work for certain people. You skin just might not work with it

I am sorry it doesn't set. I thought I had that problem and then started blotting it on with the 187 and now I love it.

I posted earlier saying that Studio Sculpt might have broke me out. Well, I tried the foundation again and yayy my skin isn't reacting to it!

I'm so happy that I waited patiently and gave the foundation a second chance before I returned it. It takes the skin some time getting used to new product, and if the foundation isn't working right away, I'd advise anyone to be patient and work with the foundation until you really, really know that all hope is lost. Anyway, I love the finish. It looks great buffed in with a 109, and awesome stippled (and ONLY stippled) with a 187. I have very oily skin that is acne prone, and I have some previous acne scarring (pigmentation and depressed scars) and I really recommend this foundation for anyone with similar issues. Stippling especially seems to decrease the prominence of my depressed scarring. I hope this helps!

Thank you chickatthegym.. Yesterday I was in MAC Pro store and I tried the foundation again with 187, it still doesn't set.. My skin and the product just don't get along with each other :p It is really sad but there is nothing to do; you know, it can be a great product but it doesn't mean it will work on everyone or its not working on me doesn't make it a bad product

guys, I finally tried this new foundation and I am in love. I've been struggling for years to find my HG foundation and concealer combo and I found it in Well Defined. I got matched for the concealer in NC20 (I have a lot of pink in my skin I need to conceal) and foundation in NW25 and it's perfect. My skin looks flawless. I don't even need to wear a primer, the foundation feels great on and lasts on me all day long. I was also told that I was wearing a too dark foundation before (I used to wear Studio Fix in NW30).

Anyway, just wanted to share my excitment

Yay! I'm so happy it's working out for you! I'm thinking about going back this week to try the concealer in NW15 for my undereye circles (I currently have NC15). I think the shade I have now is good for spot concealing, though.....just might be a little yellow for the circles.

I know! I was so excited I had to post about it

I got the NC concealer coz I have a lot of pink spots. i don't use under eye concealer but I hear the NW is better for that. The NC20 concealer I got has done a great job covering all the annoying pink spots, I much prefer it to the stick concealer I used to have.

That's funny you said you are a NW 25 and were wearing too dark in the studio fix because I had the same problem and when I went in to get matched for studio sculpt, I found out I am a NW25! And it looks much better! How do you like the NC concealer? I got NW25 in the studio sculpt concealer and think it works good but now I am thinking maybe I should have gotten the NC25? I do'nt have undereye circles either... I just use it for covering blemishes or other areas that need it.

Yeah, I love applying this concealer with my BE concealer brush. The consistency of the product is so nice and creamy! I used to have stick concealers and to me they are more of a pain.

I prefer the nc concealed coz it's more yellow and it neutralizes my pink spots. I guess my mistake was that before I used to use nw for both foundation and concealer. Useing yellow based for concealer and nw for foundation only works much better

LOL! I popped in to say the same thing! I thought it was actually helping me skin get better... at first. Then I got two massive and painful zits on my chin that lingered for weeks. Although I do break out on my chin, never like that.

It also really "stuck" to the dry patches on my face, bleh!

I'm back to my EL DW light, it's definitely more money but it works.

I didnt know about this thread until I told Jeanette that I bought one last thursday, and she warned me about people breaking out on it. Just a coincidence... but I have a zit on my chin today and I havent got zit in years...

o_0

I'm returning it anyway, because she sold me a NW20, but she also wanted me to buy the NC15...

The NW20 is too warm/dark for me and trying it at home I don't like the finish on my skin. Poor little foundation that will end up in the garbage. I don't like the fact that they'll throw it away but I want my money back because I think I havent been advised the right way.
