i wouldn't use the pearlizer as a blush - too much sparkle for me personally. if i even use it, i'd probably use it to highlight - so on the upper cheeks and temple definitely with a light hand and blend blend blend...maybe on shoulders just for a little fun sparkle for when i go out.

oh, and i saw the coral palette, too. ramblin rose is a permanent color...but the other 2 are LE and are really pretty! but i think i will limit myself to the Pro set and Kabuki/Pearlizer.

I use the pearlizers as eyeshadows too, they make a nice wash over other colors or by themselves.

I pre-ordered one of the cool (pink) pearlizer +181SE sets yesterday at my local Bay counter.

I only want to brush!! The little bag and the pearlizer are going into my swap pile

Is anyone else really dissapointed in the brush bags? They look like my housecoat if it was covered in silly string, lol.

I am very excited for Whim blush, Galdabout lipglass, and Indianwood paint pot!!! I hope Indianwood is really really gold and not so brown....we'll see with that one.

I saw a preview of some products today at MAC and wasn't too amazed with the brush sets...though in my opinion they are better in quality than the ones from Formal Black 2006. The cool and warm eye palettes weren't WOW for me either. More money for flashtronic and rushmetal!

Thanks....I have Hundred Degrees and it's lovely. It would be really pretty on eyes with a pigment like Cornflower for a cool look or over Melon would be pretty too. Or over a blush like Pinch O Peach to give it a Nars Orgasm tone. It's a sheer irridescent pink that could work on both warm and cool tones as it has some gold to it. I highly recommend it, it's my fave pearlizer ever. Don't have Quiver so I can't comment on that, but really I've never been disappointed in one.

I can only afford one pearlizer at the moment. I already have a pinky pearlizer so I'm getting Quiver. I may buy the other one later.

Hi, just thought I'd mention this for the Vancouver girls, the Bay at Oakridge center has the Novel Twist collection. I was able to buy a brush set today and the SA told me the collection goes on sale tomorrow for the general public

I'm really excited about this collection. I went and swatched a bunch of colors at my store. So far I ordered the Pro Brush set, the pearlizer in Quiver, Whim blush and Wander l/g.
I swatched the coral and plum lip palettes , the blushes, pealizers and some l/g's I posted them in the swatched section

aw man the 2 brush sets have too many overlaps of what i have already but i reeeeallly want a set of short handle brushes. what to do other than that i dont know if any of the colors are that interesting.

how often does mac normally come out w/ short handle sets?

the paint pots look awesome... but i wonder what they look like irl... i'll have to wait till the 20th when it comes out in the store near me

heres part of the display i saw at Nordies today. After seeing the palettes and brush sets i came home and cancelled my order. I realized i had 3 of the 5 colors in the warm set and in person the brush bag looked funky..not in a good way funky. And if i get it, i may end up with duplicates or triplicates of certain brushes..but i may change my mind on the pro brush set i dunno yet. And i was able to get a fold out for this collection being that i havent received one in the mail yet.

i wsa told the 18th..and i just checked my acct - hasn't been billed anything yet.

so i had to go to gap kids to buy my soon to be 5yo neice a bday present - so of course i had to stop by Nordies and play with the pearlizers.

both are pretty, but i think the quiver is more flattering on me. so i'm just going to stick with that one and the Pro brush set.

i don't want to wait another week, i want my MAC now.
