Ive got a feeling you will really need to dig to get some colour pay off... note the scratch lines in the product.... tends to be really tough to keep digging when it does that we shall see :)
I thought this was from a long nail. LOL

I have two of the Prolongwear shadows and to me they are a misunderstanding. I think MAC has always been doing a great job with their regular shadows - why can't they make more of these.. I'm like, a huge MAC lover and addict but to me, the formula of these prolongwears is a miss, it lacks in pigmentation and I've noticed some fading of the color, unlike with the MAC regulars. They just fade and on me they sit for a shorter time...

I wanted to love them, but they were soooo thick and goopy.
And I'm probably going to splurge on the blushes! Finally, more blushes entering the regular line.

i somehow managed to escape without a single mega metal shadow...i dunno, must have snoozed through it or something! i did see the swatches online, but those shadows seem to have been very much about experiencing the formula for oneself...i found the electric cools are like that for me - i was going to pass until i actually tried them out!

i'm glad these new blushes are permanent, so i can take my time with them!
That's exactly it. I only picked up one at first, because I didn't think the colours were too original. Then I started playing with the formula and went back to get another... And the next thing I knew, seven of them had taken up residence in my vanity. I wish they'd bring those back and make them permanent!

I'm hoping the PLW blushes are a winner, because the one thing I generally don't care for in Mac blushes is the short wear time- they usually fade quite a bit in four hours or less. I'm wearing Azalea Blossom today- or rather I was wearing it- and it was gone before lunch time. I love the colour, so I'll forgive it, but a beautiful blush that lasted as long as some of the other brands I have would be amazing!

Same here, I thought it was about MAC's Coroporate office hours and was wondering why hasn't a mod moved this thread to somewhere else.

I am super excited for this collection.

I am planning on totally skipping By Request, buying only two things from Style Seeker, wait for any cremesheen and pearl wants/needs and only buy mehr when it comes out the same day.

Sill, I won't be able to buy everything I want -- which is EVERYTHING.

I wish the Tres Cheek blushes had been PLW formula!! That would've been cool to prep us for these products by teasing us with new LE colors AND a new formula!!!
But bring on these new products!! I'll pounce on PLW anything!!

i don't usually have a problem with the wear time of mac blushes compared to others...but i only have a few blushes from nars, plus some random ones from other brands. except for the most pigmented/dark shades, i find the mac blushes that i have easy to work with....i usually don't have to worry about going overboard with the basic shades...with nars and illamasqua i usually have to try very hard to use a very light hand!

the blushes that are problematic for me in terms of wear time are usually cream formulas, which seem to slide off in a few hours...with the exception of makeup forever hd blushes...those ones seem to become one with the skin or something!

Yes, my face EATS blush. It's not just Mac blush, but they don't stand up as well as some other brands. I really like the ones that I have, but even a bright shade like My Paradise (which I wore yesterday) fades to nothing on me in a few hours.

do you have the same problem with cream blushes? my face eats cream blushes, definitely, with the exception of makeup forever hd blush for some reason.... OT but i'd like to try an elis faas blush....

Oh yes. I keep meaning to try the MUFE ones, since I've heard their more resistant.

I quite like the Cremeblends, but I can practically watch those fade, even if I start off with clown cheeks... Given how long the other Ellis products last on me, their blushes might not be a bad idea...

Me too. Whole Lotta Love is looking a bit like my all time favorite, Tippy. If the PLW formula makes it last past lunchtime for me, all the better.

I finally got my paws on some PLW e/s and I wasn't impressed that they lasted all that much longer than the regular e/s. However, the formula was very nice in texture, (like BUTTAH), easy to blend, and quite multidimensional without any glitter or sparkle or anything, just quite vibrant color. I think the whole Styledriven collection will eventually find its way into my e/s tray.

I really didn't realize just how quickly most of my MAC blushes wear off until I bought some NARS blushes. I leave the house early in the morning so I always need to reapply blush by midday. In the summer, my makeup is gone my midday, primer or no primer. My NARS blushes last though; I've been wearing Liberté like crazy this week, and I love it. I apply it with my188 and get a gorgeous warm flush that is more natural than MM (although I love that one too) and it lasts much longer than my MAC blushes.

I have a lot of MAC blushes that I really like, but when I succumb to new purchases (something I'm failing miserably at preventing) I suspect they'll be NARS. At least til my new love affair wears off.

Bingo. Exactly what happened to me. I just assumed that blushes on lasted a few hours. I keep meaning to try the Tarte Amazonian Clay ones to see how well they stand up.

Today, I wore Salsarose, which is one of Mac's brighter blushes. I didn't load it on or anything, but I definitely used it for a pop of colour on my cheeks. Four hours later I had just the faintest flush of colour.

BRING ON THE PROLONGWEAR BLUSHES. I HAVE WORK FOR THEM.

I CANNOT wait to hear how these new PLW Blushes work for you! If they pass your cheek test, it seems they are a HUGE SCORE!!!!
Did you try the new PLW Bronzers from Hey Sailor? If those held up for you... maybe there's hope for the blushes!!
