Wow is all I can say!!!!! You are far more organized then I ever will be LOL. Do you do closets???? Bet you have your spices alphabetical order too !!!!! The new TF foundation and corrector pen arrived today. It was nice, not sure if I am thrilled. Need to try for a few more days. Thanks to great genes, I don't have dark circle issues. Around my nostrils I have tiny broken capillaries. It worked well, easier then to apply then the Kevyn Aucoin. I do love the original TF foundation, with the stick foundation as the concealer around my nose. But, again I have the patience of a gnat, and with that foundation I feel I need to use the alabaster finishing powder. In the summer, too much on my face for hot humid days in Chicago. I was happy that the color cream worked OK. With YSL they did away with BR 10, only offer BR 20. In the Ink Fusion foundation when I tested both they looked the same. What is you HG in foundation??? Chanel just doesn't have a color for Casper skin tone, ugh.....Thanks for all your info and tips. You rock !!!!!! What is your favorite makeup ???? I love Chanel, really like the single Armani singles in ETK. Tom Ford, I just got the bus for the ride. Have a few Dior and YSL. And of course MAC. But they have too many collections right after each other, it is too much work to chase the LE. Do you think the Holiday Tilbury looks Chanel Reve d'Orient quad??? My mom said it does. When I was in Vegas for work, I checked out Gucci, not impressed. Picked up the teal mascara. The lipstick and especially the gloss the smell and the TASTE is just beyond gross.

My brother also told me if I cut my Barbie doll's hair it would grow back. I am still waiting....Or stick a bobby pin in a light socket it would be more fun then the roller coaster at Great America.....but I seriously got him back for all of that and then some. When he came home for a week or so from Peace Corps, I convinced him to let me try some makeup techniques on him. I went all out. Foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, mascara, dark vampy lips and red nail polish. I took pictures. After he went back, I sent the photos I took to one of the people who worked in the Peace Corps office. Revenge, is best served cold, but it was worth the wait :=) !!!!!!

Thankfully for his sake, it was before fb and other social media. It took him months to get the photos back. Did you get the red/orange lipstick in Chanel Holiday???? I have always avoided red/orange, but to my surprise, it looked good !!!!!! Again, thanks so much for all your info and suggestions !!!!!

My labeler is my best friend---and yes my spices are in alphabetical order.

I like the YSL Touche Éclat’ Radiant Touch because it covers my dark circles really well and has a very light consistency. I have not yet tried TF or Dior foundations. I'm using three different Chanel foundations and a Guerlain. What I'm doing on a given day pretty much dictates which foundation I'll wear. My favorite is the Perfection Lumiére Velvet. My stash was predominantly MAC but I too tired of the crap that often comes with their unending limited edition collections. I started exploring other brands and appreciated the quality and availability of the products. I now pretty much purchase, Chanel, Dior, YSL, TF and Guerlain. I have a few CT items but I haven't purchased anything in mass as I have with the other brands. I didn't go the way of Gucci because I didn't want yet another brand with which to be obsessed. I do think the CT holiday palette looks a lot like Chanel's Réve D'Orient---down to the colors and embossed stars. Your mom is correct!!!!

My past few online shopping with Nordies has been just awful. As in it takes weeks to process and even get it shipped. Gee, did it have to go to Guam before Chicago???? I have found Chanel, Armani and MAC websites process and ship the fastest. Easiest returns for me are NM and BG. Gucci and Tom Ford sites both require signature even for 29.00 nail polish, to me just dumb.....Saks, not impressed, Bloomies is OK, but not great. For actual store shopping get to really know the store top management and find a product specialist who works well with you. A personal shopper works great too, again, find one you like. I avoid going to any shopping mall from Thanksgiving through New Year's Day. My mom refers this time period "piker's time" As in they only go during the holiday season, and never any other time. I also flat out refuse to pay for shipping. If a store wants shipping charges, I don't buy.

MAUGH!!!!! That is so infuriating. I really hope this gets sorted out by tomorrow.
Thanks katred. It's now 10:10pm and the tracking still says "out for delivery" so that can't be a good sign. I already emailed them. I'll follow up with a call tomorrow morning. If they lost this package, of all packages! Ugh. I don't even want to think about it.

Are you referring to Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in La Flamboyante? I had it in
my cart on two occasions and took it out. Now I want it. I purchased Phenix, the nail lacquer and they look really nice together. What was I thinking?

Nordie's isn't particularly swift, but I'm miffed that their processing is so slow for you. I totally believe in establishing relationships w/SAs/managers. It costs nothing, they
get to know you and ultimately look out for you. I avoid the malls like the plague---not my scene at all. I also avoid stores that charge shipping and quite often those that
require a minimum purchase for free shipping. When I have the opportunity to take a store survey, I always suggest that they extend free shipping if they don't.

I have tried this line. Not impressed. Nice, but to me doesn't warrant the price tag. Nice but not Chanel (new Formula), YSL, etc. They also remind me of many Tom Ford quads or the latest from Chanel Reve d'Orient. I think it is the hype since it was just imported to the US. Truly Rock Chic is a mirror reflection of She Wolf, my personal shopper at BG along with others say it is as close as you can get.

I'm so bad!  I live 15 minutes from Bloomies, Nordie's, Neiman's, Chanel & Hermes but I hate crowds.  I have to be feeling pretty desperate to brave that storm.   Going briefly crossed my mind when I nearly missed the Ltd Ed Chanel palette that I wanted :haha:
Yes, yes! I'm a people avoider in general though. I've started forcing myself to try to build relationships with SAs, both because it helps me secure products, and because I'm trying to transition to the makeup artist world career wise in the next year or so. It's a good thing there aren't drive through department stores, I'd totally use them. I feel much safer in my car. "That'll be one chanel jersey blush, and a tom ford corrector pen in light please."

I believe that I read somewhere that Charlotte Tilbury was the preferred makeup artist for many of Tom Ford's fashion shows -- and that "that" is why her collection so closely resembles TF's...now as to which was the copycat, I'm not sure!

I enjoy the lipsticks I have from CT, but don't find them earth shattering. The corrector pen is meh, I love the blushes and lip liner, films tar bronze and glow, and the rebel eyeshadow palette. That one seems fairly original color wise. I also have the dolce vita palette, and I like that fine. I think you are right that you have to be careful because a lot of the palettes are very similar to tom ford ones. I like the Audrey pencil, it gives a nice soft look, but I could take or leave the shadow pencil.
