Hey ladies

It's been forever that I've been on here! I haven't purchased a whole lot over the last few months, but did have a look at this collection! I ended up with the Sable Rose bronzer and Island n/p. May consider the e/s duo as well. Also picked up Desir glossimer a few weeks back. The girls at the counter were so nice when I went by, they have me great big hugs, lol!

Michelle, congrats on the new home, I'm super excited for you! I remember having to choose all the colours/finishes for our home a few years back and it is tough! I'm here if you want to PM me to discuss!

I stopped by the closest Chanel counter this weekend and they were already sold out of - Sable Emouvant duo. I was really hoping to see it in person rather then just online swatches. Does anyone have any swatches with Medium/Tan skin tone (NC42)?

Hi Nora! I am wondering why I didn't get that bronzer now! When I first saw pictures, they didn't wow me. And then I saw more pictures and now I want it lol
I'm glad you picked up some fun things!
Thanks -- I may just have to PM you about picking out colors and things for the house. I am a little overwhelmed right now!!

ok...BUT went to a Chanel event and the MA used Bonheur RCS and then dabbed Calypso Glossimer on it and it was AAAAHHHHMAZING ....

Wow stunning!!! I think I need to find a way to follow your swatches (or if I'm trying to save money avoid!). Did you purchase the new brun intense liner?
Thanks.

Yes, I purchased the Brun Intense liner. I like it. It's a good brown pencil. Not a MUST have... but very lovely.

All of my swatches are on my blog... which is in the siggy of my Specktra posts.

Monsy and Ingenue, I wasn't planning on getting any of the summer collection. Now I want the duo seeing both of your eotd's.

Quick and dirty swatches/pics.

Very color accurate, although in some lights Delight is more true gold, rather than taupe-y gold. Some people expressed concern that Holiday was an orange-red. I would say it's not, just kind of a mid-tone burn orange. It's gorgeous. I'm very happy with the Vernis this season.

Rouge Coco Shine in #447 En Vogue.

Rouge Coco Shine in #437 Empreinte.

Both the RCS' have a bit more slippy texture, and seem less opaque than the others. I'm not very happy with En Vogue, because my lips are moderately pigmented, so the sheerer finish changes the color. It's not a color I'll reach for often. I'm unsure of Empreinte, since I have yet to wear it on the lips. I know many people don't like RCS, but I am pretty pigment shy on my lips, because I'm scared I look garish with too bold a lip (not on others, just myself), so I love them and they're perfect for me.

Comparisons:

En Vogue is very similar to Flirt, but sheerer and more patchy, which you can see in the center of the swatch. This is probably 5-6 passes on my arm of En Vogue. It's about 2 passes for the other colors. Flirt is a bit more of a peach coral and more opaque. I love Flirt. Calypso is beautiful!

You can see from my product picture, that both Royallieu and Évasion oxidize on me and turn a brighter pink. Again, Empreinte is more sheer than these, although Royallieu is still sheerer than many of the other RCS. Empreinte took 6-7 passes, while Royallieu is probably 3, and Évasion 2. I'm hoping that Empreinte will be what I wanted Royallieu and Boy to be, a subtly corpse-lips-ifying shade. Edited to add, I wore Empreinte today, and I really like it. I would say Christine at Temptalia's review is very accurate, except my lips are naturally coral/pink, so it tones that down a bit without making me look ghoulish - it looks like I have pretty rose-nude lips.

Because Évasion looks much darker than the other two, I thought I'd show that it's still light in the RCS lineup. Misia and Flirt are mislabeled in this pic; they should be switched.

Also, I thought this was funny. I love Neiman Marcus's customer service in-store, over the phone, and dealing with any online issues, but this was the $200 or more Chanel GWP from the NeimanMarcus.com:

Hahaha, so lame NM. Hope this helps you guys out!

P.S. I don't know why it lets you click on some of the pictures, but not all of them. Sorry!

I finally got the chance to see the collection in person yesterday. I ended up getting the shadow duo after all. It was more beigey in person than I thought and so gorgeous. My first Chanel duo and I'm not disappointed.

I got to see the collection too! I will go back to get the duo and Delight. The duo is very beautiful and the lighter shade is not golden like how it looks to me in some pics. Tried both bronzers on my cheeks and Sable Beige was very subtle and maybe the counter lightings didn't help as well. Sable Rose was a deep, warm rose on me but I like Rose Bronze more, so I think I can pass both bronzers. The strips are pretty to look at though. Holiday is pretty too! It's a burnt orange, not orange red, like jRoxy13 said. I have OPI A Roll In A Hague and I think it satisfy my need for a burnt orange polish, although it stained my nails.

I ended up getting Delight and the Sable Beige bronzer. The SA told me that the upcoming fall and holiday collections are incredible. She was going to show me everything but, we forgot. I will go next week and ask to see it.

I thought the duo was going to be more golden too based on the swatches I saw. I'm so glad of got to see it in person. I actually got. The very last one at my counter. The bronzes didn't impress me, so I passed for sure on those. I think I'm satisfied with what I got from this collection.
