Hmm, I could swear I submitted that post I was writing yesterday. I wonder if it is the new Specktra that is playing tricks on me, or it's me going a bit

I wanted to say that I can was looking forward to see Erine swatches, as they rock! I can imagine that she doesn't have time for this at the mo, as the past couple of weeks are extra busy for those of us working in the retail.
I agree that Muse's mega metal eyeshadow swatches are a bit "meh". It is as if she didn't really feel like making a lot of effort with those, because she was underwhelmed by their inconsistent formula. I can imagine that more swatches will start popping up on various blogs, now that Mac started sending out press samples.

Blue is one colour I really don't want to wear on my lips, other than as a lipgloss over another colour. I still can't get my list of eyeshadows for this collection down, though, as they're all so beautiful

I definitely want to see more samples, or at least, I hope that more swatches get my excitement level back up, because these really do nothing for me. Unflappable fulfills all my fears about a dark colour with shimmer- it just looks like a faded black and I can't see the shimmer at all. Makes me tempted to stay with Later pigment for my black/ purple fix. I'm a little disturbed by her comments on the KL formula- the fact that she found it traveled a lot... I really want to love these, because Love Peck sounds and (from the promo photos) looks like it's the red I've been waiting to meet all my life.

I'll hold out for Karla, Temptalia and, of course, our dear overworked Erine.

you mentioned this tech is still pretty new and that a couple of years out, there will be similar, even better formulas. Wonderful to know, since it makes me less overwhelmed - I can get the few colors that are the most unique and just figure there will be something even better coming around the corner by the time I'm out of these.

Then again, I like moving forward like a shark in the ocean. No need for backups, unless it's just ridiculous like Go For It l/s. Everything else will get a latest-greatest version somewhere down the line. New newness is a good thing!

^I completely agree! I don't get backups because I know there will be something even better that will come along!

I've been running through my clothing in my mind, concocting outfits that'll look good with Peacocky and so far the simple black 50's-60's tulle and chiffon cocktail dresses and just simple, stark, modern, all-white outfits like a plain T plus white skirt/shorts/slacks are the looks that can carry it.

I'll just use plenty of sheer, smooth shimmer over flawless skin, Peacocky on the lips (no liner), a little liquid liner on the upper lids/mascara and some honking bright nail polish. I've spent the past few months growing out my brows so that they're fuller, softer and straighter, but still with a bit of an arch - sort of 80's eyebrows, and that's that. Keep the hair very sleeked back and simple.

I think Peacocky will rock for daytime as well as nighttime with this sort of look. I'll be wearing it a lot for sure.

I have thought about getting Peacocky Kissable Lip Colour, but I am going to pass on it unless I see swatches of it to help me justify if I really want it. Even though I do picture Peacocky sittingin my drawer forever.

I love all of your ideas here, and I'm totally stealing some of them for my own use!

Sorry if this has been asked already, but does anyone know what the diameter is of MAC's 'large' eyeshadows? I think I'm only going to want these shadows if I can depot them into a 36mm palette....that would be the same as MUFE shadows I think. Thanks!

agree! you need to be my stylist too! hee hee!
You girls are such dears! I used to be a clothing designer, doing avant guard knits and one offs for entertainers. Sometimes I think about going back to it, but the economy'd probably have to get better to make it worthwhile.

Here's a funny shot from an En Vogue video I had some pieces in (the little midriff top is mine
