^^I've been getting good results using just about everything... the 239, the 217 (which is AWESOME for blending these!)... are you using a primer underneath? I also find I get the best colour pay-off by patting these in and then blending rather than swiping them on. Anyone else?

Thank you so much for the answers, I am just now having a chance to check back (I hate that!). Hmm, the 217 is one I actually don't have, I always thought it would be too soft (I just use the 224 for blending). I will try applying the mega metal's with my 242 next time and see if I have any better luck.

I am using UDPP and the colors I'm using are Noir Plum, Mating Call, and Prance.

For the past 2 days I had the best luck using Charred Mauve GPS as a base under Noir Plum. It looked amazing! It made the shadow just glow!

But then on the inner eye where the mating call was (and just udpp), it was still disappearing. Oh, and over the GPS, the Noir Plum went on much smoother (with my finger lol). How is the 217 different for blending? and does it work for applying these as well?

Thanks so much!! I really appreciate the help!

The 217 works for applying as well, although I normally apply with a pencil brush for more precision and then blend. I find it particularly useful for blurring harsh lines between colours and spreading the colour gradually into the crease. Maybe UDPP just isn't the best primer for you - have you tried using something like Too Faced Shadow Insurance? I'm sure you could use the GPS under MC as well to help it adhere, as it's fairly pigmented and shouldn't alter the colour too much.

Hope that's helpful!!! Let us know how it works for you :)

P.S. Do you have any purple-based fluidline? When I used Siahi underneath the Peacocky blues, they lasted 10 hours on me without creasing or fading!

Jenn - thanks so much! You know what, I have never used a fluidline as a base. Does that work good? you put it all over your lid like a paint pot or GPS? I have Macroviolet and then some Stila smudge pots (grey and black).

I finally broke down past the admiring phase and actually used Mating Call today. No creasing or crepe appearance with uber shine. I love this formula! I layered it over concealer--nothing else. I used Mothbrown in the crease and I was good to go. These are great for the ahem Mature ladies like myself who worry about the wrinkley eyelid effect with anything less that matte! finish. These are so Smooth! Like buttah I tell you. I swear I am going to buy every single color I can get. Well, except for blue which I won't wear. I can't wait until payday. I may have to go sell an internal organ or something.

Just got Flaunting It delivered by the UPS guy!

I am absolutely loving this color. I'm not a big fan of mauve-like colors but the richness is amazing. I think it'll look great with the Samoa Silk and Ricepaper e/s I got go to with it.

I can't wait until payday to get Flaunting it and more of these awesome e/s. I think I need Ego, Center Stage, and anything that hasn't sold out and isn't blue

Hiya,

Someone was asking about a base for these shadows.

I encountered the problem of the e/s not showing up very well.

I picked up Unflappable and Ego.

So I chatted w/MAC and they suggested cream color bases, i.e. - a creamy base or MAC's eye cream.

I tried Unflappable w/Bat Black ccb and boy did it work.

The ccb grabbed onto the shadow and held it in place all day with minimal creasing.

When I tried the shadows on at the MAC store the MA used a paint pot but I've found that they dry down too fast.

I'm out of UDP so ccb it is!

TheCollector, I love the 217 so much. I finally bought a second one. I have two of the 217 and the 239. That way I don't have to clean in between shades.

I also really like Too Faced Shadow Insurance over UDPP.

You're welcome, TheCollector! Yup, you can put it all over the lid - I only just tried it with Siahi recently thanks to someone's recommendation on here, and it was amazing! Macroviolet could be sensational with these colours. Try it out and let us know how it works for you!!
I recently started to consider Unflappable but I don't know if that's just because...or if it's something I think I need. It's funny that I don't even have an urge to use the "regular" shadows anymore.

I haven't touched my "regular" shadows (except Vanilla and Carbon) in weeks. I could live off of just these shadows for the rest of my life and be happy... so long as they eventually make more colours

not long to go now!! i hope the collection will be on the site on tuesday! :)

I hope it comes out in Australia on the same day. The longer I wait, the more I want to buy! I've gone from strictly only buying Scandelicious to seriously considering Dalliance, Prance and Tweet Me as well.
They're a bit too big for Mufe palettes.
