I vote for the frenzy theory. Or they are sadists and enjoy watching us torture ourselves...Maybe they're waiting till the last minute to whip us into a frenzy. We won't have time to think properly between getting the color story and rushing to the counter to buy.
do we think the blush from surf baby will be like Hipness???

I really hope Burst Out! has an opaque forumala and isn't like Go For It! which doesn't remain purple on my lips despite the gorgeous colour.

I second this wish--I'd like a color like Go For It is in the tube, but a nice Satin or Amplified Finish that really lasts and hold the color well. Or, just a remake of Lavender Whip.
I'd like a coral deeper and more orange than Hipness, but I am concerned the gold overspray could make it too glittertastic.

Went by one of my local Mac counters today- one of the ones that's only had Quite Cute since April 7th. Every lipstick save Saint Germain was sold out. The reactions to this collection haven't been particularly positive, but every single limited edition colour is gone. I think that they're very much into whipping people into a frenzy now that they see how quickly they can move a large volume of product in a short time. Keep in mind- the faster they can move product, the more money they make from it.
From the pictures I've seen, I'd say this one is a lot closer to Bite of an Apple than Hipness- it seems deeper and redder than Hipness, for sure. Personally, I love Hipness. I actually got it back when it was originally released and it still occupies a unique place in my collection. However, my guess is that, if you're looking for that colour, you're better off trawling evilBay for the original (at a reasonable price) than hoping that this one will match. Just my opinion.
