Temptalia says that Groundcover e/s is hard to work with, but I'm getting it anyway. I want to work with it with my Dirty gps to see how it works out. I also have Lucky Green e/s (not sure why I don't have this already) and Fresh Daisy e/s on my list. I've added that Alpha Girl b/p because it's pretty and since they say it's more pigmented than Illamasqua's Hussy (which has always been on my list) I'll just get this one 'cuz it's cheaper. Lastly, no lip products.

Change of plans: I'm not going to pro for this tomorrow. It's likely that Flighty isn't there yet and I am more interested in that. I've scratched Summer Shower off and the only things I'm getting are the 2 lipgelee's. That's not worth the trip to NY...on a staurday . Oh, no. Plus, I spy with my little eye some new Mufe eyeliners over at Sephora. I'll wait for Flighty to arrive to haul my 2 lipgelee's.

I got an invite this morning via facebook from MAC that said starting today you can preorder for this. I don't know how though, online or in store? No one answered when I asked. So I have no idea what they are talking about.

I don't know about that...? Illamasqua's blushes are super pigmented! And actually Illamasqua's blushes are a dollar cheaper at $24. I love my one Illamasqua blush that I have in Nymph. They smell nice too, kind of sweet :)

I think your talking about the facebook site from Mad about MAC. It has nothing to do with MAC officially, she's a privat person I guess, selling MAC and other cosmetics. I was on that event page, and I saw someone asking how to order, and the profile pic looked familiar, I immediately thought of Specktra
girlhaha.gif
I know a lot of german girls who order from her, their MAC stuff and other brands we don't have here. In fact, I almost don't know any beauty addict that doesn't order from her, so she is very reliable. I ordered Pink Cult blush from her, and I want to order Ever Hip from her now. I also plan to order all my e/s, concealers, l/s and mascara from her from now on, because even with shipping and her probably still earning a bit from it, it's still cheaper than paying german MAC prices. You can email her with what you want, prices are always listed on that site, but limited edition items are always a bit more expensive.

I am diggin it as well! I already have 3 lip geleees but this one is different than those. I think this one will look great with greens (which is my new obsession) and like you said on top of coral lippies.
I LOVED the teal pigment with A&O But yeah the pink and yellow dazzleglasses looked yucky on the lips. I did get the other one though and Iike that one. I like sparkly lips though :)

Quote:
I think I want Now in Season. It looks way better than that craptastic dazzleglass from Alice and Olivia. It screams summer to me and I can see it over coral lipsticks.

I didn't notice if someone had posted this already, but in case not, here's the collection review from Vampy Varnish:

http://www.vampyvarnish.com/2011/04/mac-fashion-flower-collection-summer-2011-swatches-photos-review/

Light Sunshine looks very pretty in her swatch, but I can't imagine it'll look that different than Play it Proper on my skin... although it's a little warmer. Alpha Girl looks pretty but with wickedly poor payoff.

Summer Shower continues to look boring. Mlle continues to look streaky. Growing Trend looks exactly the same as Gaga 2 to me.

I think the eye shadows are a complete skip for me.

yup i cant even see alpha girl so im definitely skipping that.. is play it proper a blush? ill prob be getting light sunshine to use as a first beauty powder..
hmm i wanted to get mlle bt ill need to see swatches on the lips to make a decision..

im skipping flighty and MCPs! so im hoping to grab some lippies from this collection..
Play it Proper was a beauty powder that came out with, um, dammit ??Stylishly Yours?? in January. It's very subtle, but it's a cool, ultra-light white pink and on pale skin it simply glows. I adore it- gorgeous silky texture, wonderful subtle highlight, it makes my skin look like fine marble with a slight pink effect. Light Sunshine looks similar, although a little warmer. So the question is- will I even be able to tell the difference?

Am I correct in assuming that Pro stores have this out today and that all others will have it next Thursday now? I will definitely still check everything out, because there have definitely been examples of things that looked completely different in person or on me than they did in swatches (for instance, I think I'm the only person in the world on whom Strange Potion l/g looked absolutely terrible).

I dont know....Alpha girl looks pretty dupable to me. Anyone that already has this is it a must have? Not impressed with the light pink BP

ack not sure about MLLE, it looks chalky on christine BUT she is a lot darker then me so I'm not going to ride it off right away. I already have enough light pinks, but I cant help it! lol

Ever Hip is gorg though, its def staying on my list :)
Summer Shower is pretty but I'm TRYING to be more picky about what I buy now. I feel I should use the things I already have.

Excited to see more swatches of Budding Beauty...but after Now in Season I need another lipgelee like I need another hole in my head LOL

I LOVE the promo pic!

[/quote] I know what you mean. When I first bought it, I loved it. It was my 2nd fave from VV(behind Toxic Tale). However, when I reached for it again a couple of weeks ago, I thought it looked pretty terrible. It was kinda streaky and something was just off. Then, I tried it over some lipsticks and the magic was back. It's perfect over Niagara by Nars.

Yeah, the shadows are lack luster (excluding Lucky Green) and Summer Shower isnt as exciting as it seemed it would be

Yup. I'd say that it's the one thing in the collection that has impressed me more since I've seen the swatches. I reminded myself earlier that Phlox l/s from last Spring was one everyone said didn't show up and it shows up fairly well on my lips... So maybe all hope is not lost for Summer Shower.

I love the blue pink sparkles in it. It MIGHT sneak up on my list as we see more swatches.
