i ended up buying groundcover actually, and i wore it this morning on the lid, with free to be in the crease and slightly above. i'd say it's very pretty, and doesn't have any pigmentation problems when applied to the lid (as opposed to my arm....i was a bit worried when i first opened it up and swatched it!). somebody asked about french grey vs groundcover, and not sure if anyone answered, but i will try to find mine FG and swatch them...off-hand i reckon FG will be a tad greener, darker and satiny...

i loooove everything i bought so far (hehe) from this collection! i got alpha girl, groundcover, budding beauty, free to be (in the pan, so technically not from this coll. i guess), the mascara, and they sent me some QC pins.
i'm thinking of checking out summer shower in the store but not sure how it'll work on me. does it have a similar kind of effect as acid washed or lollipop lovin'?

It's been a crazy night! Went by two MAC counters to pick up Summer Shower, Budding Beauty and Ever Hip. I'd called the Bloomies counter (I went to high school w/ the Manager there) and had Summer Shower and Budding Beauty held for me as they were sold out of Ever Hip. Called the Macy's counter and had them hold Ever Hip and Summer Shower for me. I went out armed with my 12 empties for 2 B2M lippies.
Here's where the fun begins.
First I stop by the Macy's counter. I saw Budding Beauty but passed. They were sold out of Ever Hip but thankfully me calling ahead snagged the last one. I did B2M for EverHip so I only paid for Summer Shower. OMG, Summer Shower looks just so absolutely gorgeous!!!! I knew I had to buy another so was very glad Bloomingdales hooked me up.
Or so I thought.
I walk down to the Bloomies counter and find out not only were they sold out of Budding Beauty but didn't even put my stuff on hold like they were supposed to!
And as if that wasn't bad enough, they were SOLD OUT of Budding Beauty AND wouldn't let me B2M for Summer Shower!!! After a lot of apologies from them (and getting me to laugh when one of the MAs found out BB was sold out said, "I'm glad I bought that sh!t online!") I did B2M for Up the Amp and paid for another Summer Shower. Then when I left the counter I ordered Budding Beauty online from my iPhone.
I didn't think I'd like the Creamsheen formula but I am so in total love with Ever Hip. Such a pretty coral color. Can't wait to pair it with Budding Beauty! And Summer Shower has the most gorgeous shimmer--looks like the type of lipstick TinkerBell would wear. The MAs at Macy's were fawning all over the color. When they put it over Magenta lipliner (which I have) we all drooled over it.
I passed on the shadows as I wasn't interested in them. Passed on the beauty powders too.

It really frustrates me when MAC varies from store-to-store with the B2M program. Dont get me wrong Im glad they even have the B2M program, but it can be annoying when you go in thinking one thing and then the MA's says something different.

My Pro store was pretty much sold out of everything Wednesday but today I went to the Grove store and picked up:

I picked up a Vegas Volt lipstick also for my B2M. My plan is to wear the Budding Beauty over the Vegas Volt. Hope it's hot. Every Hip looked to pinkish on me. I was in the market for a TRUE coral.

To be honest I am a little disappointed....I wanted Summer Shower to be a more opaque aqua/teal.
This is only teal-fuchsia-purple shimmer/sparkle with a clear base and no "real lipstick" IMO.
It would have been so much fun to have a real aqua blue/teal (as the base) lipstick with some fuchsia-purple sparkle

i keep going back and forth on what i want to get, it went from just EH, to EH and Budding Beauty, to EH, BB and Summer Showers, then back to EH, so i'm just going to skip this collection entirely. I don't even touch the lipgelees i have, EH will be repromoted eventually, and SS was more so to play with. I have enough ls to play with, lol! I think i want to get the mascaras from flighty instead.

ugh i just ordered ever hip from the nordstrom site and its on back order. I already have ever hip from liberty of london and i didnt like how it applied unevenly, but when i went to the mall yesterday i swatched the ever hip from this collection and it felt more creamy so i just had to get it cuz i love the color
but it was sold out in bloomies, nordies, macys, and the mac store that was in the mall
I just hope that nordies doesnt send me an email saying they no longer can send it to me. And I hate the fact that I paid shipping for my hesitation in trying this new Ever Hip.
