MAC - Surf Baby Discussion

I called MAC this morning and though my first order still says pending, the CS rep told me that it has already shipped and will be here tomorrow. Now I'm just gonna wait and see if I get my backordered item, I'm not to worried about it b/c it was pretty much an impulse buy.

It was 10 minutes ago but then Poof! it was gone.

I am just assuming that by the time it hits all the stores stuff will be there. There couldn't possibly be sold out of everything tomm or Thursday since online everything is selling out online, right?

my sun blonde arrived today. i must say i was silly not to order it when i first got my goodies! such a unqiue colour! i can't wait to do some tropical looks with pinks and oranges with this shadow

I read that Sun Blonde has a green tint, sort of how Gorgeous Gold does... does anyone agree or disagree with that? I am tempted by the eyeshadows in this collection, but want to be sure they are special before I shell out the cash.

What did Macy's never get the blush because it is unavailable

This has put the kabosh on any further purchasing for me, I will just be happy with my 4 items and leave the blush and hibiscus alone. This has become too much effort to be ordering, paying shipping and becoming Inspector Gadget tracking down your stuff.

I will admit though I want a CareBlend or Bronze compact to swap it out with SFF powder, but I shall resist.

They had the blush this morning at around 5 am CST cause that was one of the things I was after- The first thing I did when I woke up was check all the sites that I had bookmarked and it was there.

Well, everything that said sold out on MAC now says coming soon. I guess they're getting a new shipment. But they should really save themselves and us the trouble and release their collections when everything is fully stocked and on the designated date of their press releases.

Temptalia says the pigments are on mac now and bloomies online has it. I was hoping they'd get it last night. I'd rather shop with them than Macy's.

I just placed an order for hibiscus at nordstroms online, but I'm not hoping for much. MAC I ordered and they have me (and others here) on a "2 Week" back order.

I don't know why they have us on "Backorder" if we were "able" to "purchase" it. Unless they know they "screwed" up with the "add to bag" too long and had
already sold out, and now are trying to see if anybody "cancels" orders or they make more in this two week period to fulfill those on the "Backorder" list.

OMG MAC GAMES!

p.s. I know , it's just a lipstick, and one I may or may not have another l/s that is similar. And it isn't the end of the world for me, but I'm more or less upset
with the "Backorder" thing, when I could "Add to bag" and go all the way through to "Ordered." Just sayin'

Just got off the phone with CS. My Sun Blonde e/s has shipped but of course Hibiscus is still on back order. I could buy it online from Nordies but I don't want to pay the horrendous shipping for one item. :-(

They are just a hot mess! The freestanding store says they are releasing the collection tomorrow....the counter says Thursday....I don't know what to believe. I am supposed to go by the fs store today to b2m for a thing or two but idk if I will...might snap on someone LOL

The OM (operations manager) from my store called me yesterday to tell me it's going on sale on Wed. too, so at least with freestanding stores, this sounds like it might be a general thing.
