im kind of sad and not sad. im not getting the sculpting creams cause i dont contour and the only time i have done it, i used pressed amber blush. i didnt want the pressed pigments but if they are like the tom ford shadows, i may give them a try. sam from pixiewoo was wearing a cool eye look and said she would not film a video on it, because she used one of the tom ford shadows, that are expensive and hard to get. i wanted the brushes but i dont think ill use them specially the 163 one. i really wish dusty had swatches of all the pressed pigments. sad cause i may skip it all, but not sad cause oct and nov are going to be expensive.
I think it isn't a bad thing to skip if it is stuff you won't use.

I'm glad I decided to get Harmony blush for contouring. It's hanging out in my blush palette. I figured it would work better for me as I have oily skin usually. I was interested in checking out the creams too when they hit the stores. I want to watch all of dustyo's video but youtube is sucking on my wifi right now. I'll keep trying tho as it seems like an interesting video. Why did he skip HC and SS and go straight to this lol.

i think that he skipped cause he was really mad at mac because of the beth ditto collection. he said he wouldnt buy any more limited edition, and just focus on the permanent line. i totally love his videos about estee lauder collections and the tarte true blood one. he is really creative. i just love him!!

Dustin Hunter has amazing swatches and a video review: MAC Face & Body Collection: Review/Swatch Gallery : dustyohunter: makeup and rock & roll :haha: @ the video. I'm still unsure if I should keep the eye brush. I really don't like it much and can't see myself getting a lot of use out of it, if any.
I love him. And thanks to him, I can save about $20 and buy the Sonia Kashuk equivalent of the 163, which was about the only thing I had my eye on for this collection, really.

Seriously Coffee Walnut looks like poop. I love Dustin and that video truly was hysterical and sad at the same time. What on earth is this company thinking sometimes with these products and the quality of their products? They need to get it together and quick.
It's a great color for the right skin tone.

How did the face and body foundation apply with the 163
I've not already tried it by myself, but the make up artist has been really fast with it, Face & body foundation has covered all the imperfections on my skin although it's mmm can we call it a sheer foundation? It has light coverage, but was enough for me (wow!). I didn't have a foundation brush and this one, 163, seemed really good for face & body and to use with sculpting cream (only to apply the product, then you need an angled brush to blend sculpting creams!). So, I've taken it! But of course I must try it several times (and learn how to use it) to say something more about it ^^

It would look like poop on me I suspect. I loved the video--thanks to whomever posted the link. I watched a few other reviews too--great job--he's funny but he really does tell you what you want to know. I suspect he bought Coffee Walnut b/c as a makeup artist he probably has paint sticks and contouring products galore already. He bought the more "unusual colors" to round out the neutral collection he already has?

I'm loving all the fashion week pictures coming back with these sculpting creams. It's giving me hope that--even though I know they are using them in the shows to promote the collection--that I can handle some of the basic ones (Naturally Defined and Pure Sculpture) on my own at home. Here's Alexander Wang from yesterday. They used Coffee Walnut but I think I can get a more natural (non-runway look) on my pale skin with Naturally Defined.

I had just ordered the 163 Brush (I used a Nordstrom Note, so it was "sort of" free) before I watched Dustin's review. I felt pretty dumb. Then I remembered I didn't really like SK's version of the 187 brush so maybe. If it smells and is hard to wash it's going back though. Good thing about Nordstrom--returns are easy.

Actually, I like the 163 a lot. It allows me to accurately place the product where I want it. It's not for blending though, but I did not expect the brush to blend. :)

Mine doesn't smell bad, I guess you should try it and see if it works for you ^^
I guess this time I may buy Mac brush cleanser to use with this brush (I usually use baby shampoo but since this brush may take a lot to dry, brush cleanser could be better)

I'm not sure where the smelly-and-hard-to-wash issues come from. Has anybody else issues?

I don't have any of those problems with the 163 (I got four of them). I'm using baby shampoo on the one that I use for powder contouring and I use brush cleanser on the one that I use with my CCB's (or Pro Sculpture Creams). I usually wash them immediately after using them and they are dry the next day (and so are my other brushes. The only one that takes longer to dry is the 179, but as it is thick, I do expect a longer dry time).

I bet Coffee Walnut would look great on olive skintones, that's the one I would have ordered. I'm not afraid of the green undertones, afterall I add green in my foundation. lol

I agree. Seems like the bigger more flufflier brushes take forever to rinse, but something on the flatter side with shorter bristles like the 163 seem easier to rise.

Coffee walnut is fab- I think the whole green issue has been blown out of proportion. It's just that we are used to seeing warm toned/tan/bronzer contour products. The main thing is that cw works as a fantastic contour product on my cool toned pale skin. I apply it with a 188 just under my cheek bones and it creates a great shadow. I also got naturally defined for when I want a more subtle effect like down my nose. I also picked up accentuate and the 2 brushes. I haven't tried the eye brush yet but the cheek brush is great. I use the edge of the brush to apply accentuate to my cheekbone and then use the face and other edges to blend it out. It creates a beautiful natural highlight. I also got a pressed pigment which I haven't played with yet. I was treating myself because I just had a beautiful baby boy last week!
