^ They always look gorgeous. But I never use them, no matter how good they look or how much I like them, they always end up forgotten in a drawer. Except 1, I use as highlight the lighter shade of cam, cool, & collected, because the glue got loose and I had to put in my es palette, so it became handy and I really like it

Damnit, screw just the face products. I'm also getting the three lippies I originally wanted. I haven't bought any MAC since April, so I'm going to INDULGE!

I hope she's wrong
I find it hard to believe that they are going to launch the collection on Christmas Eve. We can at least expect it to pop up a couple days before then which unfortunately means we won't get the goods until after Christmas :(

I neeeed to see what Haute Altitude looks like compared to Mehr. I'm intrigued by that color the most.

Pink Pigeon I'm also curious about, but mainly to see what the difference may be with the Apfel release. But it is my favorite matte bright pink, so I might impulsively haul a couple more lol.

Other than that I'm hovering a maybe for Stereo Rose.

Being unemployed helps. LOL

the most I ever spent was on Glamour Daze but I think Strength could beat it. you should be a makeup artist :]

So here's my plan: For all of the types of products I'm interested in from this collection (basically just the PLW e/l, MES, MB, and lip balms), I'm going to buy myself ONE for now. So one PLW e/l (Mountain Air, I'm looking at you!), one MB, one lip balm, and one MES. I'll wait to see if I get any gift cards for xmas and if I do, I'll use those to get anything else I want.

I think I like the Pure and Tender balm the best, so I'm going to start with that one and see if it's worth the $19.50 price tag. If it's amazing, I'll get a couple more. For the MES, I'm thinking Winter Pursuit for now...hopefully Fireside and Silver Birch if I get those gift cards and they don't sell out right away.

The MB is going to be the trickiest for me. I was in a rush the other day, but was able to do a quick hand swatch thanks to a sweetheart of a MA who let me do so. As I believe liba said in her stellar reviews, Amber Glow is VERY light. I was shocked. I'm an NC25, and it was so pale on my hand, I can't imagine using it as a blush. Maybe I could use it as a highlight, but WoG is still my #1 for that, so I really don't need it. The MA claimed it would work on me as a blush, but as much as I trust her, I just don't think it would give me the kind of color I like for my cheeks. I don't even like Well Dressed because I find it too light for me, and that at least has color to it! Alpine Bronze, on the other hand, I was surprised by. I thought it would be too brown for me, but based on the hand swatch, I think the caramel description MAC gave is pretty accurate. So I'm seriously considering abandoning Amber Glow and giving Alpine Bronze a try...I hope I don't regret it! It's always so hard to tell from hand swatches, but it's better than trying to figure it out just based on promo images I suppose. Seriously though, with all the MAC I've bought the past few months, I can't afford to be buying things I don't even like, lol. We'll see what happens!

I just realized this collection is being released in stores on the 26th... Any other Canadians see a big problem with this? BOXING DAY!!! There's going to be hundreds of people already lined up at the crack of dawn at every mall across the country!!!.... I guess I'm counting on my refresh button to get the items I want

i wouldn't worry too much, though it might depend which store you go to in particular. last year at boxing day i had no problem getting whatever i wanted, but if i recall correctly, there were also 3 collections that day so i was kind of overwhelmed by all the options and the limitations of my post-christmas wallet!

You're so sweet, thank you! Makeup is really more of a hobby of mine. I've done the makeup for a few of my friends once for a formal ball, but I was terrified the entire time they'd look bad. XD Fashion is what I want to make my career in, like merchandising, which is what I'm going to school for.

I hope she's wrong. She's got the completely wrong dates all around for the brow collection. Some of her product information is wrong too.

Amber Glow is more of a nude to even out the skin tone, sort of like a Forever Marilyn for blush. It's not a sparkly or shimmery highlight, more of a "finishing" color for looks where you're not using a lot of cover-up products like foundation or heavy powder underneath. A little BB Cream or tinted moisturizer or just a bare face plus Amber Glow is how to think about it. It's quite a modern idea.

Meanwhile, Alpine Bronze is more versatile, because it's a great contour color that looks healthy, but not orange but is also light enough to use as a blush too. If you can only get one, I'd say Alpine Bronze, but the two together with AB in the contour and AG above to accentuate is a heck of a look….looked awesome on my NC15 skin without anything underneath.

Also, I think we're going to see more colors like these through the year, so if you can try first and aren't totally smitten with either, I think you could skip them and wait for something else, especially if you have a deeper skin tone or MBs break you out, etc.

The lipsticks are great daily colors - you'll get tons of use out of any of them! Which did you have in mind?
It's pinker, a little more blue undertone and a little lighter, but not much…overall it's the "cute" Mehr. You of all people will love it!
Apres Chic, Haute Altitude, and Hot Chocolate.

Liba your response to romi79 is making me drool lol. Anything even slightly close to EDES is all I need in my life. I do wish Mac would add some edes to their permanent range....maybe eventually? Either way these MES sound great!
