MAC Strength Collection Discussion (December 2012)

They've snuck a collection online on a Sunday before.

That is long time ago... Good ol' times

Taupe Shape, used to contour on NC35, the taupe undertones seems to disappear on warm skintone, it's not orangey or grey:



The sheen is less apparent on my cheeks than if I swatch it heavily on my arm. The colour seems to be lighter too with that sheen, this is why I think it's better for fair to medium skintone, if you try to add more it will look like this:

I think I'll just skip this collection. I don't think Strong Woman would look good on me. And while I love Pink Pigeon and Party Parrot, I don't think I need a backup of each. I have similar colors that I think are close enough if/when I ever run out of those two. Money saved!

Weren't Kid, Samoa Silk and Brown Down the last 3 veluxe formula shadows? Maybe they are getting rid of the formula like they did with the Matte2 Those were the better matte shadow formula's Mac had why do they want to get rid of them? I have Samoa Silk and Brown Down, but I have so many shadows that I won't use them up quickly. I think I'll have to get Kid now and also Winkle that is going to be discontinued as well and maybe Purple Haze.

Now there's only a handful of matte2 left. I wish they'd convert all the mattes to matte2 formula.

the user said its warm companion with in synch liner. the first pic in the top row is WC by itself. she didn't use any liner on the rest of the lip swatches

I just used Firm Form with a light hand and did some shading with it. Looks gorgeous with Astro Cool l/g in the center. Honestly, I think you can just get away with using Current or Vino lip liner.

the more swatches I see the more I want lol. I want all of the strength lippes and now I want warm companion and maybe hot chocolate too. I didn't even want stereo rose at one point , but now I do smh.
