Anyone actually like their fff lipstick? Its too ashy lookin on me
I like it but not enough to buy bu's. The gold and black casing got me but I have dupes for it. It was ashy on me the first time I tried it but I found if I just put a light coat it's really pretty

On the left side I have fff on by itself on the right I topped it with richer, lusher creme sheen. Excuse the bride of Frankenstein hair, just took my kinky twists out! But will address that hair and brow situation at the salon tomorrow lol

Anyone who doesn't like their Private Party lipstick please consider selling it to another member. There seems to be a few on here that missed out and would love to have it.
If I decide not to keep it I will post it here in the clearance section.

As far as I know you can't return a used product here either, unless there's something wrong with the product itself. Perhaps fellow Dutchies have had a different experience?

I had a hard time convincing the SA when I tried exchanging a pressed powder the day after purchase (wrong shade). It was unused, packaging was fully intact and I had the receipt. He finally caved in but it wasn't exactly the no-questions-asked approach that appears to be fairly commonplace across the pond. Which is fair enough as far as I'm concerned. If I buy something on a whim and I don't like it then it's my own bloody fault.
Oh yeah! I just bought a new blot powder and silly me I got the light one instead of the medium. Of course I didn't realise that I had gotten the wrong shade until I applied it! >.< Well, I am applying it very very lightly and hoping that I go a bit pale in winter

It's always surprised me that you can send them back if you don't like them, if we could do that here people would buy first and decide later if they like it or not!!
Yeam, I am Spanish as well and I know exactly what you mean. What is more, I've worked retails and had the most surreal things happen (once a woman wanted me to change a pepper she had bought around 12pm, had eaten half of it, had then taken to the beach with her for 4 or 5 hours during which time it had of course "wilted" and she was complaining that it wasn't as "fresh"as she had bought it!! wtf!!!)

Here is my small haul, I only got perfectly poised, scene to be seen, and private party. I love the lighter color in perfectly poised! It kind of reminds me of pink opal pigment. Here are some swatches in the same order.:eyelove:hopefully they can show the beautiful shimmer. :eyelove:

I think the USA is the only place where you can return something just because you don't like it. We definitely can't in Australia. I had to laugh the other week, I saw a really poor review somewhere about Kora Organics (Miranda Kerrs' skincare line), which is quite expensive. Somebody on holiday from the USA had bought it and hated it, but were absolutely outraged that they couldn't return it - the review actually bordered on abusive. Sorry buddy, that's the risk you take. My makeup and skincare collection would be much smaller if I could return the products that I didn't like or didn't work for me, and I'd probably be a lot richer too.

Here are swatches I made -- hope this helps whoever is interested in Exclusive Event!

Top left swatches (top to bottom): Exclusive Event, Siss, Yash and Hot Chocolate (LE). Bottom left swatch (left to right): NYX Sand Beige, Boldly Bare, Hodge Podge and Stone.
I'd love to track down Hot Chocolate.

I'm not judging anyone, in fact I'm glad that people can take advantage of that here in the US but I personally feel too embarrassed to return something I've already used or swatched even if it was just once; I would rather give it to my mom or something.

Personally, it still boggles my mind that you can return something that has been used. Here it's a big nono
Here in the U.S. It still depends on the stores return policy most of the higher end stores will allow you to return without any issues even if the product has been used. Some smaller or low end retailers will turn you away. I used to work a high end department store and we would take returns in any condition some customers even returned items that weren't even purchased from our store smh

I would only feel embarrassed if I had used an enormous amount of a product and THEN tried to return it. Other than that it does not bother me (MAC excluded because I hate that they throw away items). But many stores in the US actually PUSH the consumer to buy and try. I can't count how many times I've heard an associate say "Oh just buy it an try it out. If you don't like it bring it back"

This rings true in countless beauty stores and make up counters where I shop. I get what you guys are saying about people who abuse the system, but I see nothing wrong with returning a product that didn't work if its within the guidelines of company policy

Oh I understand and agree plus their return policy is there exactly for that, my embarrassment is just a personal thing. I would rather do my research first and or swatch the samples (if possible) before purchasing. Also online purchases are more difficult because often times you buy blindly so returns make even more sense.

Oh I'm not judging, I think you're very lucky to be able to return items that turn out to be the wrong ones for you. It makes shopping online much easier, and some of these collections such as Divine Night we barely had any info beforehand. Thanks to this wonderful community and many swatches and photos I'm able to see most items a long time before they come out in Europe so I can decide better. I was just saying I can imagine the frenzy here if they could return cosmetics! They'd use it for a night out and return it lol!

I received my mini haul yesterday from Nordstrom. I wanted to take pics yesterday when I received them but I was still recovering from being sick. Today I feel much better and felt excited to try out my products. I have gotten really pale, being sick has sucked the color out of me. All I got was Private Party lipstick and You've Got It l/g.

You've Got It I'm really happy with Private Party, I love colors like this. You've Got It doesn't do much for me, it's nice but wasn't amazing.

Actually I've heard stories of people buying a dress or a purse for new year's eve and returning it a few days later after having obviously been worn! That was at El Corte Ingles, who are said to have a permisive returning policy, but imagine if we had that kind of returning policy for make up and cosmetics. Madness!! The ever famous "picaresca"!!

And I totally agree, while our delays can sometimes be very very frustrating, we get to see tones of swatches by the time collections are launched here. I don't usually get things not on

I just went to MAC at a mall, now I remember why I shop online. They try to pressure you into buying other items a lot.. the lady was pretty nice but still.

Perfectly Poised was sold out there, but I only wanted to swatch some things (already ordered everything online) and bought a couple eyeshadow refills :)
