That's probably why, although when I've called about defective or incorrect items they've just told me to keep or discard, they've never wanted them back.
they sent me a replacement but I still didn't like it and you have to send the original and replacement back to get refunded.

I really like PTv2. Fair enough, it doesn't look as pretty in the pan as v1, but it looks a lot better in the swatches. It's going to work better with my skintone too, so I'm happy.

Is it me or does DD look very simiar to Fashion Force Huggable in T's swatches? I was under the impression that DD was a red/orange coral and FF was a pinky coral

I am liking what I see of all the DD swatches
I ordered DD b/c of swatches. It is actually my favorite ls from this collection based on what I have seen!

I also ordered PT, and I am hoping that what I get looks like yours. Keeping fingers crossed!

Did anyone get Playful Petal CSG? Was curious to see it on different skin tones. It looks super sheer but now idk if I may want it….LOL!

I completely agree with you about this PT. It's awesome, ladies & gents. I wouldn't totally write it off just because it's not the same as the earlier version. I think it's a great highlight and I gasped when I swatched it. Then I made a face like I was dying when I applied it to my cheekbones because of how pretty it looked on. Maybe I'm over dramatic, but I really love it and although I like how the earlier one looks in the pan (I don't have the original) I'm fine with this one. Just treat it as it is -- a whole new MSF with the same name. Same goes for how there were two diff. lipsticks named Heroine..Not even remotely similar. Don't buy it because you're expecting it to be the same as the first. Then, you WILL be disappointed.

I'm highly disappointed that this year's PT isn't the same as when it was originally released. I'll still check it out at my counter though; maybe I'll find one with the right amount of colored swirls.

I agree. Vein hunting is the only option. This goes for most MSFs as veining will make a huge difference.

How could PT be listed as new? Do you think it's been reformatted, or just a typo?

Now Lily-White is hyphenated this time, and the colour is definitely completely different, so they've just recycled the same name for the same product with a completely different colour, cuz the old one wasn't yellow AT ALL! But i dunno why this one is listed as new

I don't blame everyone for being peeved about the switch in PT and SR. Erine, I know you had info that said it was new, but even you initially thought it was a typo. I don't see why they wouldn't just have given it a different name. Individual variances are one thing (totally normal with MSF), but a completely new colour is another.

I personally think the change is SR is an improvement, but if I'd been expecting the original (well, first three release) version I'd be majorly peeved. The new Hourglass blush have a lot of variance as well, but none of them look like the promo images. I just don't think companies should mislead customers this way.

The thing that has me irritated about PT, is that Mac itself described it as being pink. They promoted it as if it were the original PT. Peach and pink are clearly not the same colors. I know my colors Mac.....

Word. Just call it something new and NO ONE would be mad, right? Same with SR. So you aren't getting a backup of SD now, girlie? Go look at Alluras swatches….I tend to like hers better.

I just saw something and it clicked. Look at Mac Smooth Harmony in the Diana Ross' collection version and the same SH in the Heatherette collection. Same name two different versions. I stay in a abusive love/ hate dysfunctional relationship with Mac . When we fight no-one should get involved, lol. I would love to have the DR version of SH but someone else may prefer the Heatherette packaging one. We all have choices and no one should knowingly deprive us of the ability to exercise that right. To me its deceptive and a bit cunning.

The other thing is the photo that they have posted on their webpage. It really looks a lot like the last version of PT, and not like what we have been seeing at all. There is a ton of veining in the photo....hmmmmm

I honestly am liking my PT. But I do understand that MAC shouldn't have put it out there as if it was the same MSF as before. I'm not going to return it but they need to do better. I've decided to skip on the lippies; none of them have anything special about them and lustres are not a finish that I care for.
