I think.. that these are the patent polish ls. I never really know what I have worked on 24 mos prior, but will share with you guys what I do have. I think there are two other colours but I cannot find them now as they are filed away. The containers are the very same as the greasepaints.. they slide up when you move on the bottom. they are slick and shiny even tho my pics with no sun don't do them justice.. staying power is amazing. That is one reason why these are more expensive. sorry for the messy sticks -- these are still working testers and sunlight is scarce. Gotta get back to work!

Thank you for posting and taking out the time to dig these out from the depths of the archive and swatch them all up! The colors seem a little deeper than I expected, but mid-tones work for me and will be a good compliment to the bright Huggable colors. The red on the bottom is "my kinda red"!

BTW, I really like your nail polish - what do you have on?

I just did bright coral/pink/red nails too - seemed like the best color for these changeable early spring days, where I'm still wearing vampy lips, but also some pale springy nudes and pastels too.

Liba, they look deep but apply like butter. If the colour is too light it has to have frost for the consistency to fit into the tubes. But the colours are saturated and glossy. The red is my fave too.. as is the coral.

I do think the dark (Kittenish?) has gone awol as well as the pink.. but, it happens more than I like to admit. These grow legs and there is no controlling them.

I have on an Essie .. not Clambake which I do own -- it's from the salon and their stash of Essies/Opi's. It is a true coral red.

That's an interesting side-job for the frost ingredients, although I'm glad these don't have it. I love these little tech details you drop! Honestly, the new tech is what got me back into makeup in the first place - love that stuff.

I know my MA was raving about how they feel nice and stiff and not smooshy in the tube, but instantly go on smooth and creamy when you put it to your lips. These will be my April haul-o-rama. I was pretty restrained with how many different Huggables I bought, but this batch I may just go hog wild and snag 'em all….these colors all seem like the sort that will be very flattering!!!! Here's my excitement emoticon:

My coral time polish is China Glaze Bump & Grind, which is complicated pinkish red coral that changes with the light - has a matte sand texture too. Not my picture, but this one captures the color well:

oh that colour is gorgeous!.. love it. I will see the bottle on Sat. when I get my nails done, and let you know the colour.

After reviewing these again, they are definitely much more pigmented than the Huggables. A very similar formula but a better deposit of colour with shine.

and I won't even go into the FOF lippies -- a soft soft lustre with very little colour deposit.

about Essie, but when they do a great color, it's really great. That CG Texture Collection from last year had some real winners in it, but they're tough to photograph. 99% of the online pictures look really washed out compared to how they look in person. One coaters too!!!

More pigmented than Huggables is definitely making me tingly!!! My main question for my MA was if they created as smooth a lip surface as the Huggables and the answer was YES, so I was immediately sold!!

I'm sorry you're having bad luck with those FOF lustres - they've all been working perfectly on my lips, which are quite pigmented, but they are really best in nice, bright daylight. They don't look strong enough for evening wear. I need more in-your-face drama for nighttime. Try that lavender CC underneath!

.. I agree on Essie, but I have a few faves from them: Clambake, Lizzard purse ? (1940's red), Material girl, little brown dress, Watermelon -- are some which come to mind.. but most of their colours are quite normal.. lol.

at night, I wear my heavy duty tigress colours

And pigmented. I might need to try one then. The only twist up I've tried from MAC has been a mattene and I really didn't like it. It has no staying power.

I don't mind the FOF lippies (in particular because I didn't pay for them but got them through BTM), but I'm certainly not dazzled by them. I don't mind that the light pigmentation because I don't particularly care for bright lippies; I only like Dreaming Dahlia as a sheer wash. They're drying if not worn over balm, but since I wear P&P under almost everything it's not too much of an issue. They're my first lustres and they'll probably be my last. I like Cremesheens and the Huggables a lot better, but these will be fine for spring and then they'll probably get BTM'd again. No way I'll finish them.

I bought my first few Essie polish last year and I really like some of them; they have some great brights and creams (DJ Play That Song, Off the Shoulder, Play Date, The Girls Are Out). I'll have to break them out again soon - I haven't painted my fingernails since the holidays and my Zoya Pixie Dust kick.

Audrey, you bring up an excellent point about getting your use out of the lipsticks for the season, and then BTMing them. I think sometimes we think we have to totally use something up before we can get rid of it, but it may be better to think of whether or not we got sufficient use out of it before it gets tossed. That is, maybe we got sufficient entertainment value out of it, so to speak, for the season (or two) but then it is time to move onto something else. Sort of like going to a movie. That way, we won't be compelled to keep on storing all this stuff unless it's really something we want to hang onto. Maybe this more belongs to the low-buy thread, but I was inspired by Audrey's comment!

This is my attitude to a certain extent - some colors or textures are just seriously trendy for the moment. When MAC was a little cheaper, it was easier to think of it as disposable makeup. Now it takes a little extra consideration, but a lipstick here or there won't break the bank, especially if you can let it go and B2M when you've had your fun with it.

Most of my makeup is purchased with the intention of it being a core part of my stash, but I don't mind getting a couple of lippies or l/g that I may just use for a season or two. I get bored of lip products and my tastes are evolving; I have BTM'd quite a few satins recently because I now prefer a more creamy finish. I don't need to finish a lippie to feel like I got my money's worth out of it. I generally get at least 3-4 through BTM each year anyway.

I enjoyed Yung Rapunxel last fall/winter, but I was ready to let it go by summer.
