Sure :) I spritz my face with rose water before applying oil, usually rosehip oil (the brands I use are mostly from Germany, Switzerland, etc) Sometimes I use pure sheabutter as well, on dry areas or all over. I'm allergic to most creams I've tried - and that were a lot - but one brand my skin likes is 100% Pure (100% Pure | Der Onlineshop der Kult-Naturkosmetik aus Kalifornien). I'm currently using their Coffee Cherry Sun Damage Corrective Cream additonal to the oil, and my favorite eye cream is their Coffee Bean one.
The most important step in getting my dryness under control was making sure there's no alcohol in the products I use. For cleansing I use a balm with very basic ingredients (Sheabutter Cleanser from Martina Gebhardt) and for exfoliating the 100% Pure Pineapple Enzyme Mask powder which I mix with joghurt. At first I thought I thought it was a little gross to put joghurt on my face, but it really calms down my skin, and it works better than just mixing it with water. Plus, the mask is a lot more gentle than a mechanical scrub (which I still have to use once in a while, it's the Brightening Scrub&Mask from the same brand).
There are so many different kinds of oils and floral waters out there, you should experiment and try to find out what works for you :)
I have never understood why alcohol is used all over especially in natural cosmetics. I know it's for preservation, but it's just counterproductive.

This! And in shampoos, conditioners, any hair product, makeup, skin care, why, why, why? I think this is why a lot of us women are suffering with dry scalp and losing a lot more hair during washing than we need to. At least I feel like this.
I need to get myself some rose water for my skin. I have heard wonderful things about it, but I just need to find it now.

The shampoo I use doesn't have alcohol, perfume etc. I'm always surprised that most people use regular shampoo, shower gels, face wash etc without having any problems, my skin is so dry and sensitive I can't use any of that stuff. It took a long time for me and lots of allergic reactions to find out that only natural products work for me, anything else is too aggressive, with very few exceptions. I'm glad my skin is pretty tolerant when it comes to makeup, unless it's scented, but when it comes to skin care natural is the way to go for me.

I'm telling you MRV. If you check the ingredients in shampoos/conditioners even when they say no alcohol it's in there under different names like sulfate, Sodium laurel sulfate, Diethanolamine DEA, Cocamide DEA, Methylparaben & Formaldehyde. Eew!!!!!

Even some of the more "natural" shampoos have hidden alcohol in there ingredients. It's drying, damaging and making our hair fall out. I don't understand why we need to have such crap in our shampoos, when I was younger my mom says she doesn't remember ever having any of these chemicals in the shampoos she bought.

Nadine, Can I ask what brand of shampoo you use? I've been searching high and low for some w/o any type of alcohol and am having issues finding any. Thanks.

It's from the natural german drugstore brand alverde, their Ultra Sensitive shampoo, you can't get in the states unfortunately and they don't sell online either :/
Maybe you can check out the John Masters Bare shampoo, I'm not sure about the ingredients, I only had the Bare conditioner and it was very gentle.
