I agree, I think people that just relied upon swatches & reviews are missing out. These are definitely a product that you need to see in person to get a feel for whether or not you are going to like it.OK, so I am peeved that so many people have been ignoring these pencils, and especially listening to all the weird talk and bad photos of them on the internet. It's true there are lots of lip color pencils out on the market already, and I know that gets in the way of these having a unique image. The thing is, it's not just the formula on these - it's the formula PLUS the form factor (the rounded tip of the product, the self sharpening, even the way it feels in your hand and how the cap closes with a click and doesn't go near the product, smearing it around.) PLUS the really gorgeous colors that are quite different from the shades that a lot of other chubby pencils have. It's not sunny today over here, but tomorrow should be and I will try to take a bunch of full face photos. My camera sucks and it's pretty doubtful I'll get a lot of really correct color reproduction but I'll do my best. These could use some love. I tried and retried so many of them yesterday and my lips are super soft and smooth today, not thrashed!
Wow, I'm surprised they only had 1 left. When I was at my store I went on Friday during the day, some counties are on Spring Break, but it wasn't busy at all. & no one really even bothered to look or try them on. Looks great on you. I'm glad to hear there are a few of us who like/love them.Picked up The last Kittenish at my local Belk counter. Totally forgot it was prom season so it was packed. Loved it! So I went back and got Hopelessly Devoted despite the prom crowd. I love the way they feel. I wasn't going to buy any of these but thanks to Liba I had to try them out!!! Thanks again Liba!!!
You go girlie!Liba! I have bought 6, yes 6 of these pencils so far and I am considering more! Right now I am sporting go for girlie, and it is totally fabulous! This is just to say that many of us are listening (and taking notes--haha--the English professor that I am!). And I am always thankful for your thoughts and reviews. The wear time isn't the greatest, but I knew that and still bought more. The colors and finish are stellar! :kissy:
I know I felt the same way once I tried them on I was in MUSTHAVEPATENTPOLISH MODE.These darn pencils sucked me in tonight. Whyyyy!? I couldn't choose between Teen Dream and Go for Girlie. So I indulged myself and got both! Ugh, they're so pretty on!
Wore Teen Dream yesterday & I love it. I'm considering getting a BU because it's such a unique feel & finish (in my collection) & to me it's a super wearable orange. I paired it with Ablaze LL & i couldn't be more pleased.I swatched these the other day and I'm smitten with Teen Dream, Fearless, & Spontaneous. They're just not in my budget for now, I'm really trying to save up for Proenza. I hope they are still available for purchase somewhere by the end of the month.
Me too. Enjoy!I just wish all of them had the formula that Kittenish does. I've been wearing it like crazy lately and LOVE it, but Pleasant I have to work a bit harder to get an even application. Also I think the fact that they're $5 more than a regular MAC lipstick is turning people off. Happy with mine though and glad I bought them.
Lol. It's okay because the 239 & Painterly are things you will use almost every time you do your eye make up.Yeah.. not sure what happened today haha. I also bought painterly paint pot and a mac 239 brush for the first time ever today![]()
Go try them on...it's hard to tell by looking at swatches. I know it's not that big of a decision but I think I would have bought the wrong ones had I not tried them on in person. Go Team Patenpolish! Enjoy ladies.Kittenish or fearless??? I can't decide
