OK, so I am peeved that so many people have been ignoring these pencils, and especially listening to all the weird talk and bad photos of them on the internet. It's true there are lots of lip color pencils out on the market already, and I know that gets in the way of these having a unique image. The thing is, it's not just the formula on these - it's the formula PLUS the form factor (the rounded tip of the product, the self sharpening, even the way it feels in your hand and how the cap closes with a click and doesn't go near the product, smearing it around.) PLUS the really gorgeous colors that are quite different from the shades that a lot of other chubby pencils have. It's not sunny today over here, but tomorrow should be and I will try to take a bunch of full face photos. My camera sucks and it's pretty doubtful I'll get a lot of really correct color reproduction but I'll do my best. These could use some love.  I tried and retried so many of them yesterday and my lips are super soft and smooth today, not thrashed!
I agree, I think people that just relied upon swatches & reviews are missing out. These are definitely a product that you need to see in person to get a feel for whether or not you are going to like it.
Picked up The last Kittenish at my local Belk counter. Totally forgot it was prom season so it was packed. Loved it! So I went back and got Hopelessly Devoted despite the prom crowd. I love the way they feel. I wasn't going to buy any of these but thanks to Liba I had to try them out!!! Thanks again Liba!!!
Wow, I'm surprised they only had 1 left. When I was at my store I went on Friday during the day, some counties are on Spring Break, but it wasn't busy at all. & no one really even bothered to look or try them on. Looks great on you. I'm glad to hear there are a few of us who like/love them.
Liba! I have bought 6, yes 6 of these pencils so far and I am considering more! Right now I am sporting go for girlie, and it is totally fabulous! This is just to say that many of us are listening (and taking notes--haha--the English professor that I am!). And I am always thankful for your thoughts and reviews. The wear time isn't the greatest, but I knew that and still bought more. The colors and finish are stellar! :kissy:
You go girlie!
These darn pencils sucked me in tonight. Whyyyy!? I couldn't choose between Teen Dream and Go for Girlie. So I indulged myself and got both! Ugh, they're so pretty on!
I know I felt the same way once I tried them on I was in MUSTHAVEPATENTPOLISH MODE.
I swatched these the other day and I'm smitten with Teen Dream, Fearless, & Spontaneous. They're just not in my budget for now, I'm really trying to save up for Proenza. I hope they are still available for purchase somewhere by the end of the month.
Wore Teen Dream yesterday & I love it. I'm considering getting a BU because it's such a unique feel & finish (in my collection) & to me it's a super wearable orange. I paired it with Ablaze LL & i couldn't be more pleased.
I just wish all of them had the formula that Kittenish does. I've been wearing it like crazy lately and LOVE it, but Pleasant I have to work a bit harder to get an even application. Also I think the fact that they're $5 more than a regular MAC lipstick is turning people off. Happy with mine though and glad I bought them.
Me too. Enjoy!
Yeah.. not sure what happened today haha. I also bought painterly paint pot and a mac 239 brush for the first time ever today :)
Lol. It's okay because the 239 & Painterly are things you will use almost every time you do your eye make up.
Kittenish or fearless??? I can't decide
Go try them on...it's hard to tell by looking at swatches. I know it's not that big of a decision but I think I would have bought the wrong ones had I not tried them on in person. Go Team Patenpolish! Enjoy ladies.

I was actually able to make it to my favorite MAC counter to check these babies out on Friday. Honestly, I don't even know the last time I left the house to do something fun by myself (grocery shopping, for me, no matter how small is NOT fun) but I'm thinking. It's been about 2 & 1/2 weeks because things have been so rough. Like I said in the post above I am so happy that I didn't just rely on the reviews. Traditionally, I am not a gloss girl or into sheer lippies. Don't get me wrong, I like the way gloss looks but I just have a hard time with them. I've been loving the Huggables & looking for a gloss brand that has some longevity & a nice amount of pigmentation. When I tried these on I was immediately in like with the way it felt. It wasn't tight or heavy & it's just nice. I tried every color on & I'm glad I did because yes, a few of them are very close to each other but you can really see the difference when trying them on. I bought a few & I may buy a BU or 2 b/c I'm not so sure we will see these again, which will really be a big disappointment & it sounds like I'm not the only one. I look forward to layering them & putting them on top of lipsticks & lipliners. Like I said in a reply to someone talking about Teen Dream, I wore it with Ablaze LL & loved it. At the end of the day my lips weren't all stressed out & chapped which is great b/c they've been in bad shape with the way I've been feeling. So, if you are on the fence, I would suggest actually going to a store & trying them on I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Hope everyone had a great weekend. & has an even better week. Take care.

Pleasant is really even and opaque on me - even more than Kittenish. I only need one swipe. Must be my lip coloring. I wore it all day today, as a matter of fact! I think it's going to turn out to be one of my favorites and most used of this collection.

They do cost more, and I bet MAC is having a very narrow profit margin on them too, due to the packaging, the R&D on them and the product itself.

Oh don't be afraid. It's a gorgeous berry pink red on me. It looks different from every angle. I like even better than Berry Bold for a nice red lip. I'm glad you're getting it - it's a color you will love. It was one of the shades I am going to take a photo of for this thread.

Revved up is beautiful. Just tested it and I really liked it
That was the only one besides Fearless that I skipped. It was almost exactly like Fresh & Frisky Huggable on me, except I preferred that color in the Huggable finish more for my taste. On the other hand, I didn't buy any of the bright Huggables because I didn't care for their texture with the bright colors, but I went whole hog on the brights in the PPPs (I like brights to be a little more opaque and a little less stained glass glossy).

I'm happy you love it, it's a great color!

Sultana is hands down pretty especially on WOC. I asked opinions regarding getting Rusty huggable and Sultana lip pencil, the girls were all SULTANA! If I wasn't in rehab and Mac have me spread so thin with all the new stuff coming soon I would get several back ups. But I can't so I just wish everyone get a chance to grab Sultana before its gone. They only had (9) at the counter I went to and the girls told me that the other missing colors are already sold out! My name is Debbie and I endorse this message, lol. Don't sleep on these babies!!!

I got Patent Pink and it goes perfectly with Full Of Joy. Patent Pink is definitely blue toned, more soft lavender/orchid to me. It's beautiful when you first put it on, but I will say the finish changes pretty quickly. Leaves a nice soft color behind but the shine does not last on me.

Testimony!

Hehe, I know the feeling. I own Rusty, but Sultana is way better. Smoother and the finish is a little classier with the color. Plus Sultana has more purple in it. I hope eventually they will do a few more deep shades in this product - the application is so smooth and even and like I was saying, it's a perfect finish for semi-opaque vampy colors. I would commit mayhem for a black or NAVY Patentpolish. That would be craayyyyzeeeee.
