The complete BB collection runs very light. Definitely try it in store again before you commit to a purchase.
I agree with Mac-Guy.

I was matched to BB Medium Deep. It looks okay. I am around NC40 or MM foundation in 3.0. I use a beauty blender to blend the BB on my face then apply MSFN in Medium Plus to set. Works pretty good. I apply it at 6:30am and lasts until about 3pm.

Definitely have to go in store to get the right match.

So I FINALLY got my hands on this in liquid form. First she tried Medium Deep (?) but it was too light. Then she tried Medium Dark which looked fine in the store. But once I tried it out on my own...it was TOO LIGHT! :eek:hboy: I should have known better! But once I put on my MSFN in Medium Deep it was fine. Would Medium Plus be the next shade up? I'm NC43 for reference.
That colour order is running from dark to light. Medium deep is the darkest of the 3, medium deep is darker than medium dark, which is darker than medium plus. So you're working backwards, getting lighter. The next shade up (darker) would be dark.

So let me see if I've got this...from lightest to darkest, is it Medium Plus, Medium Dark, then Medium Deep? I wish I asked her which shade she tried initially. Possibly Medium Plus as it was lighter than Medium Dark. Do you think I should skip Medium Deep and just try Dark? I don't trust the Macy's MAC counter lighting anymore..that's where I bought it and will have to return it. Perhaps I could get a sample of both Medium Deep and Dark? Sorry for all of the questions. I would hate to exchange this item more than once.

You got it! If you can get samples, I'd go that route first. I think daek is gonna be the best colour, since people are saying this runs a tad light. But try to get samples first, and then buy.

I bought the BB compact in Medium (I'm NC 30) it was a perfect match. I love the natural look I get from it. It doesn't cover up my dark spots but it evens it out and I get the no make-up fresh natural look from it. I don't use the sponge, instead I use my mini MAC 130 brush (from a holiday set I tried out). Set it with MSFN in Medium. Thanks Erine for the recommendations using the 130, and setting it with MSFN!
I got the same shade as a sample cause they were out of Medium plus which the gal at the counter recommended for my NC35 skin. I personally think medium matches ok for me cause I don't wear it alone I put a little bit of NC35 Studio fix powder over it. I really like the way it makes my skin look flawless But I'm still debating if I should get Medium or Medium plus I have to wait til my store gets some more Medium plus in to sample

And this is why i don't shop at walmart!
Erie,

I need to pick your brain for your knowledge lol... Ok! So I usually wear studio fix in the powder form and the Mac Store I go to I asked the gal if I can apply the liquid BB Cream under my studio fix and she said yes lightly. Is that correct?? or is that incorrect you think. She also recommended Medium Plus for me I'm a NC35 but they were out and she gave me a sample of Medium which seems to be a little light but not too bad. In your opinion which one is better the liquid form or the compact. I was told the compact one isn't good for oily skin which I have :( . I was told the liquid is best for oily skin which I'm scratching my head cause wouldn't liquid make you look more greasy compared to the compact . I'm confused

I'm not Erie, but I figured I'd reply anyway. xD
The artist at the counter was correct, you can lightly dust on some Studio Fix powder for a little more coverage. Also, yes, the compact is actually best suited for dry or dehydrated skin.

For NC35 I'd go with at least the med plus. Medium is gonna be too light. Depending on what you use to apply you SF with, it's almost worthless to use the BB underneath SF because it has so much coverage. I'd recommend the MSFN (natural) or even CB (matte) if you're gonna wear a powder over the BB, depending in the finish you want, just because the BB imparts a more natural, softer look. Using the SF on top takes away from that. And as [@]AllyDVon[/@] mentioned, the compact is for drier skin, The liquid is for oilier skin.

I agree with Ernie, you should get at least medium plus. The only plus to using BB cream under SF if you are wanting extra coverage is that it's a primer, but in my opinion, I'd save BB cream for when I want a lighter coverage and sun protection. But, like I said, you can dust SF on top if you're wanting even more coverage. If you're looking for a regular primer, I think you should try Natural Radiance, it still gives that illuminating look from the optical pealized pigments and is really awesome from oily skin!

The BB runs lighter because of the SPF. Mind you, it's a different form of "lighter," thus you really want to try it out. In addition, some shades run more pink whereas others are extremely yellow.

So I went back for one of these but I was matched to medium. Originally I had medium dark. Now I'm confused but I did feel that medium was too light so I may go and exchange it.
