Awwww, your little one is precious  mommies little helper! I want a girl soooo bad! Sons are cool, but I can't do certain things with my son that I would do if I had a daughter! Still, I'm grateful for him, he's my angel  I'll take Becca over Stila!!! They need to regroup and relaunch their line. The Stila brand is kinda boring overall. They need to hire a new marketing and creative Director, PRONTO!
Thanks. That kid makes me so happy! She kind of drove me nuts yesterday because when I was making dinner she was getting into my makeup. I had no idea. It was the stuff I don't use regularly so I keep them in these big sterilite towers in my room. When I went to find her she had taken out one of the drawers and cleared it out. I have no idea where that makeup went. She also had some brown stuff all over her face. Eyeshadow? Bronzer? Who knows? Stila really does need some help. They still had some nice stuff coming out when I worked retail between 2008-2010. Then all of a sudden they started coming out with those cheap $10 palettes with 4 eye shadows and the gel blush. I knew they were in trouble then.

Duke St is gorgeous too---that's part of the Nail Kail line!!!     I never had that one but I really like Fix+....much better than Skindinavia, as far as fragrance goes.  Please keep me posted.  I'd love to try it.  Man that would be    awesome for the summer!!!  I keep my finishing mist in the refrigerator in the summer and spritz my face just before I leave the house.
I don't know why I never thought of that! That's where mine is going now. Haha

I remembered! Rocking UD Bittersweet Afterglow blush and lipgloss. Eyeshadow is UD anniversary palette. No joke, you need good lighting to apply this blush. Mine isn't the best and I'm seeing now at work that I could have blended a bit more. Even though I did like nobody's business! Lol! Since it's purple it shows if it's not blended properly unlike a more "natural" color. Gorg though.

The gloss rubbed off a bit because I drank water, etc. But I like the feel of it, not sticky and very opaque. And the little one is soooo adorable, though weird to apply since the wand is so short, hahaha! I lined with a Nicka K Dark Orchid purple liner (beauty supply store brand). I may look into some other glosses.

Lol! I love that he was so honest. The SA at Sephora was trying to convince me that I didn't need the original, it's too full coverage, it's hard to work with, etc etc. I was like lady, is this your opinion or fact? I hate when SAs try to get you to buy what they want you to buy based on your five minute encounter. I was at MAC for a concealer on the weekend and the girl there was trying to convince me I didn't need it. If I thought I didn't need it, would I be here lady!? Ain't got no idea about this crazy hormonal skin and my vicious attack cat toddler. Lol what a rant. Point being, I think I want the original but they had to go and get me second guessing myself.
Yeah do you. I can't stand it when I'm offered way too much input. Mind you, depending on the sa, I'll take their advice, like the mua I met at the Smashbox counter last week at Macy's who does Iman's makeup and did makeup in the first 5 seasons of ANTM, I'll listen to him. And he took his time to talk to me. I can't handle the Sephora ones who zoom by with their 2 cents. Eff off, plus your own face looks jacked.

Anywho, yesterday I wore the EL with the Smashbox hydrating primer, but I didn't let that dry properly so my face felt sticky when I put the foundation on. Today I used my Avon MagiX Face Perfector under and it's a little dry, crap, I think I forgot to put on my moisturizer! That explains it! I put on my eye creams and Fix + then the stupid primer and forgot my moisturizer! LMAOOOOO, so may steps now and my husband has been home when I've been getting ready all week because he has jury duty and he makes me nervous because he's always talking about how long it takes me to put on my makeup or if he's not saying it, I feel like he wants to and he gets me all frazzled. Then the 2yr old diva who fights me for the mirror to put on her makeup (she also uses her makeup brush on her toes, I'm forever sanitizing it!) Hot mess=me. Hahaha. But I like the foundation. I'm trying to use it without my Becca SSP and anything else to see how it is on it's own. Maybe if I get it together and do my routine properly I can really see

.

I think your best bet is the original because you can put the moisturizer, but wear it alone when you want to be more made up. The Light won't give you the full coverage if you want that. Or get both, lmao!

There really is a fine line with the amount of help SAs offer, isn't there? Just wanted to share my personal pet peeve when at Sephora/Ulta/wherever: I hate it when I'm shopping and someone who is a brand rep for a specific brand comes over and asks if I need help finding something without identifying themselves as a brand rep for that company, and then regardless of what I say, and whether or not their brand actually has what I need, diverts me to their brand to show me what their brand specifically has to offer. If both SAs and brand reps are dressed in all black, and you don't have on a name tag identifying you as a rep, it seems really, really shady to push your product on someone without telling them who you actually work for. It's not even that I mind being steered toward a particular brand if they have what I need, but don't try to convince me that your ish is gonna work if it's not. And how hard is it to just say "So you're looking for an illuminating setting powder? Well, I work for ABC Cosmetics Company, and we have something that might work for you. May I show you?"

Sorry... rant over.

That's actually what happened when I spoke to the Becca rep that time a while back. Actually I wanted to ask her about another product because she reeked of authority and then she said she could help because she used to train Sephora sa's, but she's the Becca rep. So actually your experience didn't happen to me, lol
greengrin.gif
Then I went in with Becca because I wanted to find out more about it anyway and she was a woc like me so I was curious to hear her recommendations.

I don't think it needs more blending. Sometimes a bold cheek is in order. You look beautiful! @shontay07108, no @ssclown here!

I have two girls and a boy. My daughters stick to me like glue even though they are young ladies and even though they are major daddy's girls. We have a lot of fun together (although they don't understand my makeup addiction . . lol). They were a lot of work when they were growing up because girls are more emotional and my son was so easy because he was happy as long as he was fed and had some toys or video games around. The dynamic between you and your son will change as he grows and it's a wonderful relationship to have. I can't even explain it but a mother has a special place in her heart for her son. Now that he's older, my son is very protective of me. He's away at college now but he still calls or texts once a week to check on me. Sometimes my husband gets jealous because he doesn't hear from him as often but I tell him he knows that I need to know he's alright and then I'm good.

I think it's blended enough. I have mine on today and I kept going back and blending it before I left the house. I didn't want to get in the car and realize that I looked like Homey the Clown.

Same here! My kids are younger, my son is 7 and daughter 2. But girrrrrrrllll, let me tell you about this girl of mine! I cry daily. Literally. She is a handful. She does the opposite of what you want, disagrees, argues, is independent whereas my son was so chill and went with the flow as long as he was fed. He's still my boo and loves his Mama. He's no saint, actually his school called me yesterday because he had a tantrum, but he's a sweet kid. Don't get me wrong, my daughter is sweet and loving too, but she just wants to do her, if you don't like it, tough cookies. Which doesn't always work when you're, for ex, trying to rush to get ready in the mornings. You take the tv off, "NOOOO, I WANTED TO DOOO ITTTTTTT", then she loses it. Her brother is going to have a shower before her, she loses it. You offer her Cheerios and she wanted Goldfish, she loses it. Hahahaha. Love them both to pieces though

@YarahFlower I know what you mean, dressing my son was a challenge because I didn't want to do the traditional corny stuff. He's still fly

So I'm currently digging through my stack of old receipts to find the one for my Stila Nouveau Natural Eye Shadow Palette. I have that MUFE Artist Palette in Nudes and it makes me what to get rid of one of my other nude palettes that are just sitting there.. I have

 • Naked
 • Naked 3
 • Chocolate Bar
 • 3 ABH palettes that are pretty much nude
 • KVD Ladybird
 • Lorac Unzipped
 • Lorac Unzipped Gold
 • KVD Monarch Palette
 • Too Faced Natural Eyes

See that I mean and that's not even all. However in true make up addict fashion I don't want to do a straight return. I would like to exchange for something else. I was thinking another MUFE Trio, a Marc Jacobs palette, another Armani Eye Tint? Any suggestions?

That's what I miss about my girls not being little anymore. I would dress them up like little doll babies. They still talk about it til this day how I would be in the stores for hours looking for everything from head to toe. Now I use that money and buy makeup.

Although, college tuition ain't no joke. My son is in his junior year and my youngest daughter will be a freshman in September. My oldest daughter is in grad school but she's paying for that, thank God.
