I just had another bad Sephora experience. They sent me a 10% off code, which of course brought me to the store. I've been wanting to take a look at the Hourglass Strobe Powders. I liked the shade Brilliant, but there weren't any out on the display. I asked a girl who worked there if she could check to see if they had it. She pulled the drawer open and rifled through and told me they didn't. I asked if I could look...lo and behold I found one. Then when I was trying to check out they told me the code isn't good in store. I said "It specifically says in the email it's for use in store and online." They told me again they wouldn't. So then the cashier asked the manager after I asked her to check with someone else. The manager hardly looked at the email before telling me "No we can't do it. That's weird it doesn't say online only." And I said "What's really weird is that it says in store AND online. So you're telling me that doesn't matter?" She said it didn't matter so I left. This is so ridiculous. I'm not participating in the Spring sale with them. I would rather not get 15% off and buy at other retailers.

Alysse, that is just horrible service. So sorry this happened to you. I would be the same, I'd never shop there again. I have a big issue with the cable company that happened a gazillion years ago but I will never do business with them again. Not one red penny. Ever.

Phew, so glad you are enjoying the blush! It truly is a beautiful color and like I said before, I really feel D&G are filling in their blush holes nicely......what? The gaps in their regular blush line? Yes, that sounds better.

:roflmao:It's so pretty & really pigmented. You were right, it gives me a healthy flush. Thanks!

I'm so happy with all of the green color correcting options that just came out- I'm literally painting myself green. A box with 5 of 'em just showed up today, and more are coming Wednesday.

Unsurprisingly, the Sephora Collection one that's like the gel concealer is the best (and cheapest) so far.

This makes me excited! I just ordered the green one and pink one from sephora. I figured I could get two of those for the price of one of UD's color correctors. They come on Thursday!

Oh, NO! That is so awful. I'm sorry you went through that. I'm an annoying customer, so I would have been like: "I wonder what customer service has to say about this." And dialed right there in store. I don't tolerate when they don't go by the emails. This happened to me once at a VIBR event, the email clearly said that the guests get a bag. They refused to give my guest one, even though I pointed it out in the email. I even showed the manager. So I wrote CS on facebook because they respond SO fast on there. I don't have time to wait on hold and such. CS told me I was right, and that they would contact the store and the store would give me one for my guest next time I was in. They accidentally sent the email to the wrong sephora (there are two in my mall, one is a SiJCP) and the wonderful manager at the SiJCP went out of her way to hold one, even though the error didn't happen at her location. I always compliment the SiJCP on their way better customer service than the downstairs B&M sephora.

Annnnyyway, I know it might feel petty over 10% but I'd let CS or corporate know about this! Also if you have any surveys you can fill out from recent reciepts-- let them have it! (and by that I mean be honest yet direct, and how their behavior will likely cause you to stop shopping there.) I heard that they take the surveys "somewhat" seriously.

Surveys are important. The more that get done, the better it is for the store manager/employee; however, it's skewed. At some stores, If it is anything other than 100%/A+, it can be seen poorly at corporate also. Some places, they aren't as strict but need to hit a certain percentage (ex. 80%+). Negative results can definitely be unpleasant for the manager and employee (if named).

I got four ABH eyeshadows since they're on Sephora! And of course I forgot to activate my Ebates so I missed out on 8% cashback. Whatever. I hope I like the shades I picked!

I had a hard time switching off of the Sephora Collection Corrector to test others since I'd gotten used to how awesome it is.

Currently in test rotation: (From Sephora) Sephora Collection Color Corrector, YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer, Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid, Cover FX Correct Click, Smashbox Color Correcting Stick, Becca Backlight Targeted Colour Corrector, Giorgio Armani Master Corrector, Algenist Reveal Concentrated Color Correcting Drops, (Not from Sephora) Japonesque Color Correcting Stick, NYX Concealer Wand- Green, NYX Concealer Jar- Green, Maybelline New York Cover Stick Concealer- Green, Etude House Precious Mineral Magic Any Cushion- Mint.

I'm also planning to nab the Marc Jacobs Corrector when it's available in stores and am looking for one more drugstore product. That makes 15.

By the way, I have rosacea so I'm all about that green.

ABH has very nice eyeshadows. I wish they had a deal for 8-pan palettes! Hopefully they get in-store displays as well.

Thanks everyone! I will look around for an old receipt. I'm sure I have one. And I'll probably post something to their beauty board since I don't have Facebook. Appreciate all the feedback!

I have mixed feelings about the Viseart palettes. I have three (Basic Matte, Sultry Muse, and Paris Nude)that I got on sale so they cost about $60 each. They are all good quality, nicely pigmented and blend easily. But the same can be said for a lot of other makeup brands (MUFE, UD, kat Von D)The mattes are good to integrate with other shimmery palettes. The Paris Nudes are pretty but they are all shimmery. I regret purchasing the Sultry Muse - the colors are durable and many colors in the palette are similar.

My recommendation would be to get them if they are on sale if you really want them. I know the price per shadow is very reasonable but I just don't think they are so much better then other shadows on the market that an $80 price point is justified. Based on some reviews I read before purchasing them, I expected them to be the holy grail of eyeshadows and they aren't for me.

I'm glad that i read this, now I wont fuss that i didnt get the sultry

The promo code "correct" can be used more than once, and the size of the sample is 7ml which is $20 on Algenist's website. I decided to place two separate orders so that I could get the pink and the blue correctors :).

The Sephora ones in the tube with the wand - right? I tested those & they were quite nice. I really really loved the brightening pink one.
