Algenist fans, the 30% off sale on their official site is happening now! If you've seen this brand at Sephora and wanted to try it now is the best time. It's their best sale of the year.
Oh I love their FF Sale. I got the Email too, and you're right---now's the time to stock up on favorites!!!

Off topic, but I went to Bath & Body works for the first time since they got all the fall scents and I bought pumpkin everything. This is the only time I go to B&BW. I want my whole house to smell like pumpkin pie and it does right now with the candles and the plugins. If only the pumpkin scented body washes and lotions actually smelled like pumpkin instead of some kind of sugary concoction.

can't wait til you try the concealers.

I need a Holiday list. A list of what every brand will have. I'm already lost. I guess I should just stay focused on the balls and Chanel huh?

My current candle obsession at Bath and Body Works is Flannel. I usually take this time of year to buy all of the Marshmallow Fireside everything but this year I've found something new. Can't wait for $8 candle day.

I have a question about Black Up contouring sticks? Anyone by one yet?

Its a glorious collection to look at and have out on display, but it doesn't perform well enough for the cost IMO. I'm sad too :( The line is not a total bust, there are some gems in the mix. I can't speak for the lippies, she didn't have them with her that day.
That's actually kind of a relief because I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $70 on a MAC beauty powder. Haha. More money to spend elsewhere!

Oh you can? It felt like you couldn't. But I didn't try it. That's good to know.
You might have to get the sharpener from NARS. I remember Too Faced had a lip product like that and the "pencil" was more like a plastic and you had to use their sharpener that was specially designed for those. These bastards!

There hasn't been anything about what the Lip Lab for October is, has there? It's my birth month, so I was going to get it, unless it sucks. There's something about October that gets us shafted all the time as compared to other months. We used to get Nat. Geo. or World Wildlife Fund calendars when I was a kid, and every month was some adorable, fuzzy animal. And then October would be a fish. Or a vulture. Never like, a red panda, or baby cheetahs, or something. Sorry... still bitter.
But at least October is a good month to celebrate. My birthday is in February and we're pretty much guaranteed to get hit with a blizzard the day before or the day of. I always tried to plan something, like a dinner out with my friends, but almost every single time I'll get a call from the restaurant telling me they're closing early because of the snow or the city will have a level 3 snow emergency. Meaning roadways are closed to the public.

My Tarte Light of the Party kit arrived yesterday, and wow I'm disappointed. I used the shades from the mini palette this morning and the pigmentation just isn't there. If I hadn't paid so much to get it shipped to the UK (and not thrown away the packaging) I would have returned it. I'll persevere and try a few from the bottom half tomorrow, see if they fair any better!

On the other hand I ordered 5 of the Makeup Geek duochrome shadows to make up for my disappointment

Very true! That's one of those things you don't think about when you live in Florida, lol. My sister lives in Chicago and her birthday is in February, and that's exactly what she goes through every year.

What are your thoughts? What color did you buy? I'm so full of questions!!!!lol
LOL. I bought no. 3 and it was worth the money. I love it! It's very creamy and a little goes a long way. The only down side is that the sticks are wide so you'll have to maneuver it so that you use the side of it on certain areas. I'm not a major contour person so I don't want anything too complicated and that's why I love this product. It's great under the eyes too and doesn't dry out and settle into facial lines. So far, every Black Up product I've bought (full coverage foundation, no.28 lipstick and concealer stick) has lived up to what they claim. I'm going to buy another one during the sale along with some other products. If you get it, let me know if you like it.

Edit: I also bought the sublime powder in no. 3.

UD Spectrum palette is OOS. ;__; Why did I keep waiting on it? Now I have no idea what to spend my $50 on. Funny how when Sephora gives me money, I have no idea what to do with it.
