All Things Sephora

I'm new to specktra but I'm a vibr and it's making me sad that I haven't a single clue what this KvD kit is or what y'all are talking about. Was there a top secret release of something awesome?!!!

Wow this is freaking ridiculous. I guess I'm okay as looking at the link the only rewards that appeal to me are the Elizabeth and James and Stella McCartney ones with purses and I didn't have enough points for that anyway but this makes me feel like there is no reason to save points since they apparently just made one of each reward and released them at a stupid time. I haven't gotten an email from Sephora about it and I wonder if they'll still send them out since there isn't shit left.

I am DEFINITELY for REAL on my very-very-low buy as of now, SERIOUSLY! But yesterday I had a makeup meltdown in 80 degree heat (which is just of a taste of what is to come) and I was NOT HAVING IT so I ran to Sephora (and ACW) to "Summerize" my makeup wardrobe. Everything I got is either waterproof or water resistant with the exception of the Kat Von D blush which is supposedly super long-wearing. I want to be able to swim in the ocean and still have my makeup in place. I got:

- Becca Beach Tint in Papaya
- CARGO Swimmables Blush in Los Cabos (travel size)
- CARGO Swimmables Bronzer (glowy bronze shimmer)
- Cover FX Custom Cover Drops - *N100 for now and N110 for later (pretty excited about these!)
(Face & Body is pretty sheer, and while buildable the dry-down time between applications is so annoying and you end up using a ton of product in the process hence the Custom Drops. And adding one drop N110 is easier than trying to get the exact ratio mixing two foundation shades)
- Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer (smallest size)
- Kat Von D Everlasting Blush in Heartagram
- MUFE Face & Body Foundation
- MUFE Full Cover Concealer
- MUFE Aqua Brow
- MUFE Aqua Seal (for mixing with my Becca SPP Liquid)
- MUFE Mist & Fix (the SA said "it doesn't even compare" to UD's All-Nighter)
- Sephora Blotting Papers

I had a few Summerize items already like the Kryloan Finishing Powder, MAC Pressed Blot Powder and the d/c'd MAC Liquid Last eyeliners and of course UDPP. Now I just need to pick up waterproof versions of my drugstore mascaras (I had sweat drip into my eye today so that seems very necessary at this point) and find the right mineral powder sunscreen (suggestIons?) and I am set to go!

I also purchased Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Fabulous Fuchsia and Nars Illuminator in Super Orgasm but they were super on sale and I wanted them.

Oh! And I qualified for VIBR yesterday. Woot woot!

Wow epic fail. Thanks again for nothing Sephora. I swear I wish just a few more brands would sell somewhere besides Sephora so I could stop shopping there. *sigh* I'm so glad KVD will be opening up it's own online store soon, there's one down.

People are talking about the 1,000/5,000/10,000 point beauty insider rewards that were available for about 5 seconds apparently. KVD was one of them.

Why is it only showing me the freaking cookbook?? Those bastards. And I called every single Sephora in the city for the Chrysalis palette and nobody has it. I'm so disappointed in Sephora today. I'm at the salon right now getting a cut and color so I'm really hoping this makes me feel better. I might even get some pretty pink or turquoise thrown in for good measure. Haha.

So there was almost no stock? I didn't even realize there would be so many items. Would have LOVED that buttercup dryer. Dayum

There was a Stella McCartney tank top? I would be upset I missed out but I'm pretty sure whatever size they provided wouldn't cover my boobs anyway. I don't understand the point of being VIBR if you don't get a heads up on these things and what's with the launch times? :eek:hboy: Whatever. When I'm checking out and the SA asks me if I want to use my points I have to stop myself from rolling my eyes because really, it's all a joke. The point of Sephora, to me, is to get all the things I want from one place. The rewards system is not incentive to buy from there and isn't that just defeating their purpose of having it?

Yes! Good to know I'm not the only one who's always felt the rewards are truly a joke! I think I have only redeemed once for a 500 point UD set. I have always hoped there were other point hoarders out there and they'd eventually have to come up with better freebies *sigh*

It was one size fits all and featured a print of a girl's mouth holding the Stella perfume bottle between her teeth. In short... kinda fug, and definitely a joke.

You are not alone. I saw the Avengers film twice in two days. And I can and will talk your head off as to why Captain America: Civil War will be awesome. *sighs* BTW Comic Con is my Mecca.

I haven't done Comic Con but I'm completely on board with the idea of it. I just don't do particularly well with massive crowds. They make me seriously claustrophobic. But one of these years I'ma load up on valium and give it a go!

I *love* what Marvel's been bringing to the table. My geekery isn't limited, though... I'm also a huge Tolkien nerd, and I'll be a Trekkie 'til I die.

I'm bummed that I missed out on the Kat Von D perk and although I have no where near 5000 pts, the Elizabeth and James perk looked amazing.
