She has worn wigs for years. In fact, I have a few of them.

I vote for Ann Magaret or Cher, I think. Either one would be fun, but Cher, well, she would have to be VERY dramatic, and usually the Icon collections are pretty tame.

How about Heather Locklear? She is a blonde and has aged pretty well.
Or Donna Mills?

There is no Icon for Spring 2008...

Oh, Cher would be the ULTMATE! However, I read an article recently about Cher not being game for representing any products after the whole infomercial/hair thing in the 90's.

David Bowie would be amazing, too. But Iman has her own line, not sure if that would work.

I'm really disappointed to hear there won't be an Icon collection next year. It's always one of my faves.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but I haven't seen anything about this year's Icon. It's usually the end of January.

There will be an icon.
It's someone some of you may not know and it will definately, definately be something you won't expect.
Some folks may not be too pleased, but just go with it!
It won't be early in the year.
It will be FUN!

Have I just been out of the loop or is MAC not having an Icon collection for '08?

Iman has her own makeup collection and John Galliano does Dior and there is of course Dior makeup so I can't see either of them doing it. I wonder if Bowie would do it since he is married to Iman.
Anyway, I think Bowie would be awesome and I really like the idea of Debbie Harry since she represents a different, more edgey kind of beauty and glamour. Sophia Loren is so beautiful that I think she would be a nice one.
My vote however goes to Joan Jett. Not sure if she's\d be into the icon status since she is still out there rocking out like she's a youngin.
I just think it would be cool to do a more rockin' icon.

I can't! I shouldn't be saying anything as it is!

But I can imagine how some of the people on here will react when the press release goes out or others find out through other means.

I haven't seen the collection, or the visuals for it but I know who it is.
