Gosh, I just don't know how I feel about the packaging
and, I'm never undecided
When I first saw it, I thought it was charming & then I thought of the red hat society, & then I thought yuck. I wish it were red on black or ivory instead. Oh heck, I'll end up buying that blush/powder cause that compact is just too cute....what a sucker I am

So I am not really feeling the packaging but that doesn't mean that I won't be all over this collection.
I can't wait to hear what this collection will have in store for us.

+1 on the Sophia Loren for next year!!
I think the packaging is fun and kitschy, but its definitely not me. I'm looking forward to seeing the color story.

Just noticed something ...
Does it strike anyone else as *very* odd that the word MAC doesn't seem to appear anywhere on the compact? Has that *ever* happened before?
Maybe it's very light and didn't show up in the low-res picture, but I can't see it anywhere.

I just saw the packaging.
I will buy so many backups that my MAC counter will be crying. Finally, finally, purple packaging. And the glasses are awesome. I am in love.

yeaaa...my grandma does the whole red hat/purple outfit club thing, [like i have helped her make invitations and such haha] and that was the first thing i thought about when i saw the packaging. i mean, dont get me wrong i love my gma shes awesome, and i kno some old ladies who can rock a red hat and purple dress, but its not my thing. im hoping the colors make up for the packaging. on a side note, i had NO idea who dame edna was but after watching that vid, she seems pretty damn interesting!!
