For anyone that has seen the quad in person, could you tell me if the purples are blue based or red based? Certain purple shades make me looks bruised (NW15) and I am trying to figure out if I need to save for the quad in addition to everything else... Is the purple piggie anything like violet pigment?

I am just going to get samples of the pigments. I bought a full jar of Pastorale and I should of just got a sample.I can never use a whole jar up.
I got a jar of Fairylite too and hardly dented that in years.
And a jar of Frost which somehow disappeared.
At 20.00 a pop I just can't get pigments!

Oh dear... I was avoiding reading the descriptions of the collection, but I couldn't help myself! I'm still trying to buy more of Barbie Loves MAC, and then I'll be saving for Balloonacy!

The Quad purple is a pretty true grape/violet. It didn't make me look bruised at all (as almost all dark purples do to me).

I am leaning towards passing on that quad too. I was all excited about it at first, but that purple does look awfully similar to Mancatcher and Lavendar Sky (I have both). I own Silver Ring, my next grey was going to be Knight Divine, and I really don't use mattes. So, I think I'll pass on it too ;[
Maybe I'll change my mind when I see it, but probably not. Oh well!
Still buying a ton from this collection. All 3 pigments, 2 softsparkle pencils, a lipstick and lipglass probably.

no one likes the promo pic *YUCK* its so odd.
anyway that light purple is NOTHING like lavender sky or mancatcher. its more lavender and less lilac-pinky tone. also the black grey color is not like knight divine. besides, the real gem in the quad is the BRIGHT purple. if you pass up on that, you're losing out. its awesome

dammit, i love the wide shot for balloonacy, but that closeup really is weird. her mouth is less quirky and cute than it is creepy and dumb-looking.
