Sorry it took me so long, but I had to find my Smile blush

I swatched all 3 - Barbie don't be shy is actually just a little lighter pink than Sweetness. And, Sweetness has a touch more fuchsia in it - it's not by any means a fuchsia blush, but it has the fuchsia undertone to it. Smile is way warmer, more rosey peach to it in comparison.

These blushes are so light that you could use just a light application of Sweetness, but if you hated don't be shy, I'm not so sure that you'll like sweetness. But ya never know

Hello,
I was wondering if any of the blushes were similar to any others? Thanks so much

I think I will probably skip it if I can control myself, lol. I just love the texture of these so much that it's tempting to get them all!

MAC is too color savvy to make them the same. Even if colors are similar, they will give them a different finish, pearl, something else that sets them apart. Or they will give an up-dated twist to the color

We have the EXACT same coloring, and I bought them both today, hahah. Shy Beauty is my favorite out of the four I bought. It's not as light as you think, it looks like a gorgeous light peach. Looks fantastic with red hair too, if I do say so myself..

Oops! Just saw that others answered your question, dirtyfishydish!! Joyous IS gorgeous as well, and that seems to be the majority vote!!

If you have her same coloring, maybe she should consider your rec. I'm NW15 & I had to heavily apply it to get it to show - although quite pretty when it did. It would be gorgeous for a bride who wanted a real natural soft glowy look.

So far for my medium-tan NW25 complexion, I'm thinking of getting Joyous, Eversun, True Romantic... and I'm debating on Shy Beauty.

I'm worried it's going to be too light/frosty for me. Because as much as I love those super pearly light blushes (Like Fleurry) they look pretty bad on me if they're too light/frosty...

Those who have Shy Beauty.. do you think it would be too light, and how glowy/shimmery/frosty is it?

thankkkk you!!

I am NW 20 and bought Shy Beauty. You can compare the shade to IPP Sassed-Up, but less glittering, of course.
I would say it is not too light and describe it as soft shimmery. I really like it!

Well, I'm an NC15 as I said a couple posts back, and I'd heard how light this was, so i applied it when I go home quite heavily with my 187 without looking in the mirror. Then when I went into my living room to look at it, I was shocked. It was extremely dark and over applied..I assume it's because I'm SO pale. So I wiped it off and put it on with a lighter hand, and it's quite pigmented on me, and I love it. I have a hard time buying blushes light enough..I can use a darker blush if I'm careful, but they aren't foolproof. That being said, you're a lot darker then me, so there's probably a good chance that it wouldn't show up on you. It's a gorgeous color though, I'm just not sure how to rec for a darker skin then my own!

While these are nice, I wasn't overly wowed when I went to see them today. I did get Shy Beauty and may go back for Sweetness too. I want to take my Fashion Frenzy back and compare since the MA couldn't find the tester for FF. I got Shy Beauty becuase it is different than all blushes I own. It is a pale pinky peach, which leans more toward pink on my NW15 skin. The shimmers in this one are beautiful, especially in the sunlight. I did like True Romantic too, but I passed for now. I may cave later, especially after I try the one I got

Re: Beauty Powder Blush Discussion

I played with these babies in the store today. I was the only one in the store!

I only bought Shy Beauty. The rest didn't really wow me. My yellow-undertone skin tends to get red easily. I tried Feeling on my cheeks. It looks nice, gives the came-from-the-cold look. However, I can get that look without any blush.
Eversun is more bronze-y than peach, which disappointed me. It's more brown than Sunbasque. The rest of the blushes have a red/pink undertone, except for Joyous. They're nice, but just not for my red cheeks.
Sweetness is brighter than Fashion Frenzy. It's blue-er than FF. Secret Blush has a bit of brown in it. Serenely is a 'brick red' colour. True Romantic looks similar to Dame.

These are pigmented!

I'm NC20 SFF.

Honestly, i didn't find these sheer when i swatched them. The colour payoff was comparable to a regular MAC blush, except for secret, which seemed a little bit more sheer, but I still found this could be buildable. For your skintone, you could probably pull off most of these except for Shy Beauty, which is quite light, so it depends on what you like. If you like pinks, then definitely sweetness and true romantic! I had no intention of getting sweetness, it looked almost scary in the pan, but it such a pretty colour on! I'm NC25 so i'll have to apply this with a light hand, but with a tan i think it's going to look really pretty. The only one i wouldn't know about for your skintone would be Serenely, which looked like a pretty intense reddish colour. I just realized you specified peach and plum!!! Joyous is the closest thing to peach, and for plum, i preferred Secret, because Feeling was more of a reddish plum. HTH!

So as everyone can tell, i did check these out today!!! I think the texture of these is amazing. Of all the blushes I've tried (not just MAC) these are by far one of the smoothest and silkiest in terms of texture. I picked up Sweetness, True Romantic and Secret, and was on the fence about Joyous, because it looked fairly similar to Hipness and I was hoping for something a little more subtle, similar to Style. I was also contemplating Shy Beauty, but this one seemed to have some fine glitter in it, whereas the rest had more of a 'sheen'.
