You might both be right. Shipping for pro's is free after $100 minimum (I suspect there are more than a few mac lovers who are artists/etc. Maybe this encourages them to load their carts with staples at the same time?).

Plus, as an advertising strategy it definitely keeps everyone thinking about MAC more frequently. Even those with the 15% off Sephora code for 3/31/14 might be pre-occupied enough to say, "eh, I don't really need anything at Sephora if these mac releases are coming out this week).

I wonder if people are more likely to buy more on different days (two $40 orders on different days "feels" like less than one single $80 order on one day, if that makes sense?)
Totally makes sense!

Just looked at pic. It kinda does! I am liking Pink Poodle too. Love the blue and fushsia shimmer. But not sure if I like them enough (team low buy here). Trying my hardest to take it easy on lipsticks
Hoop looks familiar to pink plaid, even snob a lil bit? I gotta swatch tonight Pink poodle is super cute looks like that fun lippy we all had at some point and grew out of... I might just get it.

With MAC, you have to move fast on their new collections, or you're left in the dust. They do know they've got you. I think that stinks for the pros. Trust me, MAC gets a TON of money from the pro buyers. Their free shipping policy for the pros is kinda stingy. The only reason I would buy on different days is either that they don't have the items I want listed all at the same time, fear of having buyer's remorse a/k/a impulse shopping.

I think a huge portion of cosmetic purchases, is impulse shopping. Makeup is so near and dear to our heart. It's like a quick fix! If we all really took an honest look at what we already have, we could probably do without making a purchase for quite a while, except for items like brush cleaner, facial cleanser, foundation. I am guilty of this too! I have been wanting (but not needing!) a Bite lipstick that I noticed that my local store doesn't carry. Well, instead of just buying the Lavender lipstick, I figured if I purchased Vento (adding yet another pink lipstick to my lipstick arsenal) plus an extra pencil sharpener, then I would have free shipping.

If I remember correctly, my pro shipping is free after $150.00. I am glad that Sephora's free shipping kicks in at $50.00 for everyone. I think that is more fair. :)
They recently changed it to $100

I'll be getting hoop and butterscotch! then purchasing items again a week later.

I refuse to pay the over the top prices here unless I am desperate (like Riri Pleasurebomb where I bought 4 for full price!)

I use the above company which give you a US shipping address.

Some US sites require a US Billing address to ship even domestically to the US. There is a personal shopper service, but for MAC's site it's useless as LE sells out too fast. As this collection is online only, I don't like my chances so I will probably just get one Hoop lippie from MAC Aus.

Nordstrom is great as you can use an Aussie billing address.

If you have any friends who buy make-up/skincare, if you bulk order and split the shipping it will be even better for you.

I stock up when I buy so even with the shipping costs I am way ahead savings wise. Considering MAC is about twice the price here, it's not hard to save.

Just beware of dimensional weight (even if the items are not heavy, if they are bulky you will be charged based on the dimensions not solely the weight).

It's pretty cool- I had FOF lipsticks a month ago already.

Thank you. I agree, I've used parcel forwarding services a few times but I usually can't be bothered doing it for limited edition items seeing as they sell out so fast. We get ripped off so bad!
