It always terrifies me when I see women with the lipstick pushed up that much. I imagine the pressure is just going to make it snap, lol. I always have it as low as possible to reduce the risk.

After swatching both Hoop and Glam when they arrived today, they are both definitely NOT matte. Satin, for definite. The website is wrong.

I'm glad I swatched them. I have nearly 60 MAC lipsticks and I don't think I have anything like either Hoop or Glam. I'll have to do some comparison swatches when I get home next week from visiting my parents but they seem quite unique to my personal collection.

I ordered all 3 shadows, simply because I could.. but I'm going on a no-buy for quite a while now unless it's an absolute must-have item.

I don't like lipgloss so I managed to skip all 3 of those and Pink Poodle just wasn't up my alley, so at least I managed to leave out 4 things from this collection.

Thanks for your thoughts PeachTwist! I have a ton of Mac lipsticks too, so I am very pleased to know that you have nothing too similar. YAY! I really am excited for Hoop because it really reminds me of pink packed, my beloved but discontinued HG pink. Glad that you could get what you wanted from this collection! And I LOVE the new hair!

Is Hoop a warm toned pink?? Or is it cooler and similar to Snob?? How do you ladies think it would look on NC30-35ish skin with strong yellow undertones?? Hoop is the only lippie in this collection that I'm even remotely interested in but it looks soooo.....plain....boring even....but I need a nice everyday pink so that's why I'm considering it....unless it's cool toned, I have the hardest time with cool toned pinks....

They say, "Patience is a virtue..." but it's apparently not my strongest trait. I went ahead and placed an order for all three shadows plus another set of three lipsticks (just in case). I am almost certain I will love the lipsticks, but if they don't work for me, I'm sure my mom and/or friends will happily take them from me.

Hoop looks sooo pretty!! I get my box today I cant wait to swatch on my lips. After playland im officially done for the year.

That would be great! I don't think I've gone quite this crazy since FOL! LOL! Mac has not put out an everyday mid-tone pink Matte in YEARS! Cannot wait to hear what you think!

Verdict - I like it - I'm wearing it around the house atm and will decide if I want more- I find it is not too bright or crazy but still very pretty.

I have alot of other MAC lipsticks and I feel this shade is unique, but it reminds me abit of Please Me and Haute Altitude. This is not an in your face shade, it would be great for work/day time and it would be nice with a variety of eyeshadows.

Love the Satin finish - the shine looks quite pretty.

Pink Poodle review- nice enough, I was hoping it would be a Frost like the website says it is.

If it were a frost it would be more opaque - it took a few swipes to show the colour.

Also, I was grossed out by a section of the lippie that had a trail of large-ish sweat beads

- my germaphobic mind started thinking it could be anything lol- but we did have some warm weather so I can only hope it was that - or return it using the excuse it was supposed to be a Frost. It might go back- it's really nothing amazing based on the hand swatch.
