MAC - Cult of Cherry Discussion

Got my makeup done today, whooo! I'm soooo in love with the Shadowy Lady quad. I think I'm the only person who doesn't have/LIKES deep truth - it's pretty! But it's nothing compare to Smudged Violet which is possibly the most amazing shade EVER. It's soooo pretty in the crease w/ shadowy lady used to darken it up a bit then a blue or gold on the lid. I might need a backup of just that shadow, too bad that doesn't justify buying a whole second quad..

I ended up with:
-Shadowy Lady
-Cherry Blossom (B2M) - pretty, but dupeable I doubt I would have bought it if I didn't have B2M though it does look nice over Kirsch (i know, sounds funny but it tones it down!)
-Kirsch Mattene (B2M) - weirdly enough this was my favorite lippie and i'm a nude lip girl through & through - first she applied the mattene and i was like wow I actually like this & think I could wear it, but then she applied a liner and it was suddenly too intense & unwearable.. but when we took the whole thing off and patted Kirsch back on it was LOVE again. I'm seriously in love with this, which I never would have predicted!
-Lightly Ripe (B2M) - again, pretty, but I don't know if I would have bought it if I didn't have the B2M for it... but I'm happy with it, I'm sure it will get some use cause it's dark enough to be fall-ready, but light enough for everyday use.
-Blooming Blush - beautiful! this really balances Kirsch out on my NW15 skin. Beautiful, kind of reminds me of rosebuds on my cheeks.
-Blonde's Gold Pigment from Overrich (I swatched all the colors & wouldn't use more then samples of them, but this color is SOOO amazing! Seriously it's the best pigment in the collection BY FAR!! And I think it would work on any skintone!)

Anyways, hope this helps! & for anyone who is scared of the dark lippies - try them w/o a lip liner and use a lip brush to pat the color on, and even try a light gloss on top because they are BEAUTIFUL (especially kirsch!)

ohh hey that works lol the checkout timed out on me so I can add velvetella (maybe) oh dear and I'd just managed to get my order down to a 'reasonable' amount. If you can call it that. We'll see how I do tomorrow night after a long day. For now, I sleep,! Lol this thread has been entertaining tonight. I am going to dream shadowy lady quad dreams...

if you can believe my counter didn't have Cult of Cherry l/g...apparently they already sold out of it so maybe they didn't get a alot of stock of that. i noticed that the boxes were half empty for all the lippies for this collection. i did get So Scarlet which shows up a pretty deep berry red.

AHHHHH.
You all make me want Kirsch now. Do you think I'll be safe if I just order it without trying it on in the store first? If it's TOO dark and vampy, I can lightly use it as a stain right?

^I went to the Nordie's MAC counter first, to check out their CoC display. They were missing So Scarlet, Cult of Cherry and Cherry Blossom already. Only had Blooming blush and Tempting and Spiced Chocolate quad out in the display. It was a very sad looking display. So glad that's not the only counter near me.

Exactly!

I used it today as a stain with a bit of clear lipglass and it looked great. I bet it would look really pretty with your skin color.

Wow. I go to work and have to wade through like 10 pages. You ladies are productive

I probably won't get to the store until Saturday, and my list is slightly changing.

I'm still liking Spiced Chocolate and CoC lipglass.

Based on the swatches I am curious to try Kirsch.

I am going to try not to look at Tempting as I cannot afford it right now. Maybe I'll just get a pro-pan of Bitter.

DUH hahahaha... You know Kirsch is such a beautiful ruby color. I'm not really a red lipstick kind of girl (i've only touched my port red three times) but this is so wearable.

It's great, I'm an NC35/40 and I really think you can pull it off.

I love Kirsch and I love CoC.

im not suprised those were the first to go. i have another counter that i can go to and a freestanding store it's just a matter of getting to them more then anything. lol.
