MAC - Cult of Cherry Discussion

Ok, in attempt to save some cash, and try and talk myself out of the Shadowy Lady quad (especially since I already have Shadowy Lady and Deep Truth), I played with Shadowy Lady today. I am wearing Whistle e/s (from Barbie and similar to the pale pink in the quad) on the lid, Poison Pen in the crease, and Shadowy Lady in the outer V. Well, let me tell you, I think Shadowy Lady is the WORST MAC Shadow ever! It is impossible to blend.... I think I have safely talked myself out of the quad. I'd rather have those blushes!

I just can't get it to blend. I have tried it over different bases, and using different blushes, and no matter what I do, it won't budge once I put it on. It refuses to cooperate and blend

I finally got a Pharaoh paint pot today(yay!) and it dawned on me, is Sharp(from the tempting quad) basically the e/s version of pharaoh p/p?

That's how I feel about Brun. Ugh. I HATE that e/s. Hahaha.

I usually only use Shadowy Lady as a crease color and probably with something like the 217 or 224.

I love Shadowy Lady! It's such a gorgeous color!!! (But I won't be getting the quad either cause I don't like Deep Truth and the texture of the violet shadow sounds bad)

I have pharoah pp to and have been wondering the same thing! Or maybe it's like pharoah's matching powder e/s pagan?

I have seriously talked myself out of everything from this collection BUT the tempting quad. I love that yellow color!

i managed to talk my self out of the tempting quad too. lol. i love the yellow color but i can't justify getting the quad for only one shadow and barely using the rest. i rarely touch any of my neutral colors and go for more of my blue's and greens.

I only want this quad for smudge violet.....I hate shadowy lady also and have deep truth, I wish we could mix and match!

I just want the lippies tbh. Like maybe 1 lipstick and 2 or 3 lipglasses since I am such a l/g fan.

you can't swatch the lipglasses on paper. you have to put tape down first so they don't bleed thru the paper. but when you put the tape on top of the swatch, they shift between the two pieces of tape and blend into each other.

i tried swaching them with the tiniest bit of gloss, but they still bled into each other.

i do have to say they are very pretty.

i'm gettin' jampacked to go with kirsch.

but, i do have facecharrrrrrts!

I love the entire Liqueur look and the lips from the Cherry Blossom look. I am not wowed by this collection... alot of it is too dark for me

This collection is too dark for my taste but I am still excited hahaha I don't know why. :\

I totally agree! The looks are gorgeous but most of them would make me look gothic with my fair skin. I am still going to try it out in person but I have a feeling that I might just be getting a palette and waiting for one of the other collections to splurge. Thanks as always Erine1881!

Some of the looks are almost 1930ish flapper style! Gorgeous!
