In response to the question of how Gold Spill looks on NC20 (I can be both nc or nw20) It is basically a very pretty light shade of peachy beige on me. Its gorgeous as are all the msfs from this collection on me!

I'm glad to hear this (even though my bank account isn't). I was worried they'd be a little too dark for me (NC20/25 in the summer) but now I'm going to have to add them to my already through-the-roof order! Good job!

I don't know from experience because I haven't seen them yet, but I've heard Lovestone compared to Cranberry and Tectonic compared to Springtime Skipper. Not sure if that's any help at all... didn't help me really.

Placed my order this AM. Woo-hoo. Can't wait. Got all the e/s, Gold Spill, Northen Light, Thrills, Fast Lane, Electro Lush, and Perfectly Pink.

Aw.... I just ordered all 6 eyeshadows online in 1 click !!! hahahaa.... got too excited .....thanks for the info everyone ! I thought I had to drive 2+ hrs to go to the MAC store, but now no more !

My Nordies is taking preorders for Novel Twist and my MA let me play with Flashtronic and Rushmetal so I could preorder those too. I was surprised that I was more torn over what to get from Rushmetal than Flashtronic. Both are beautiful collections. Here are my thoughts:

FLASHTRONIC

Northern Light - Beautiful pink coral color. More pink on my NW15 skin than coral though. It is darker than Porcelain Pink, and the color payoff is nowhere near as good as Stereo Rose, but it will make a beautiful blush. It is a bit chunky, the same texture as Glissade, but not as bad as Naked You. I ordered this one.

Gold Spill - It did not even show up on me!

I was so disappointed, so I skipped it.

Global Glow - Almost identical to Shooting Star on me. I skipped this one too.

Lovestone - BEAUTIFUL shade of rapberry pink. Not overly bright, but a bit brighter than Cranberry. Not nearly as maroon as Cranberry. I think it will look awesome applied lightly as a blush. I ordered this one.

Ether - Love this one too. A great dark teal shade, with lots of sparkle! Not near as dark as Plumage. A must have for teal lovers like me. Got this one too,obviously.

Mecurial - This one has tons of sparkle and is a beautiful shade of pale pinky-purple. It is like nothing I have so I ordered this one.

Techtonic - On me, this was a light shade of olive green, and it seems like a ton of other MAC olive green shadows and pigments so I skipped it.

Quarry - I was really surprised by this one! It turned out a pale shade of grey blue on me. I don't wear grey well so I passed on this one.

By Jupiter - This one had beautiful sparkle, but it is very dupeable and alot like Sunnydaze pigment on me so I didn't need it.

I didn't even look twice at the lipglass. They didn't look that special to me.

I must be the only one, but I love the lipglasses! (from what I've seen on the Korean website) I love how creamy they look.

Hmm I doubt this since Germany usually gets part of the Nordstrom exclusive collection (but not everything) - last year we got the brush sets and palettes from Patternmaker but not the blushes for example!

Oh yeah, and the lipglasses from Flashtronic ARE gorgeous - perfect juicy summer colours without shimmer! I have Perfectly Pink and love it!

they have events like this in most cities with new collection release
i will be going to the one at the avenues free standing store although the girls at the counter at belk are the best, there so friendly

I ordered all the eyeshadows and MSFs yesterday morning. If I don't like something, it'll be easy to swap I think.

to my surprise the collection arrived at my counter today (i was going nuts because i thought it would only be released in august, then realised it was for sale since monday and got scared that id miss out on all the pretties) i didnt buy much, as i asked my friend in berlin to get me the stuff, and i couldnt get hold of her to stop her and not end up with 2 of each, so only a quarry for me today (together with big t and going bananas of c-shock, released today too) and put a northern lights on hold, if my friend diesnt get one...

but theyre really gorgeous. i just swatched all 4 different tones of quarry and its lovely. ether, tectonic and jupiter are very beautiful, too, but i didnt play much with them. northern lights is a pretty pink and i do get more colour paypff than with porcelain pink. gold spill is intriguing, but i dont have much money left, even though it would probably be nice with my light skintone...

I visited the mac counter today. I didn't get any of the eye shadows or pigments. I don't like too much glitter around my eye area and I cannot finish a pigment jar.
I did get Northern Lights. It's a rosy pink. Very pretty. The glitter doesn't bother me. It's more shimmery. I decided against Gold Spill. I'm NC20-30 and on my skin, it just doesn't call out to me. It's a beige-y, gold colour. Pretty as a highlighter but I have too many highlighters already. I didn't even plan on getting Global Glow. IMO, it looks like a regular bronzer with glitter. I wasn't wrong when I saw it IRL.

So are all the MSFs and e/s REALLY glittery??? Gosh I'm torn now, I HATE glitter chunks! They look so pretty though....*cries* Can anyone help me with this? It doesn't look very chunky in the swatches.

Northern Light is not as glittery as Glissade. I like NL better than Glissade. My MA used the e/s today and it looks really good. I don't like glitter chunks either. I walked in thinking that it'll be glitter overload, but it wasn't that bad. The e/s looks really vibrant IRL.
I bought the last NL from my counter!

I checked out the e/s today (didn't have time for l/g nor msf) I passed on everything. I hate to be a bubble burster but I wasn't impressed with how the colours came out. They looked beautiful in the pot with the veining and everything but when applied it's just lost the orginality I was hoping for. I did pick up the NT Pro brush set thou...but that's for another thread.

Just got back from the mall....Picked up MSF Gold Spill.. does this look similar to Shimpagne? I missed out on it... This is good for a highlighter.
Global gold looks like a bronzer on. The pink is nice for lighter skin tones.

Hmm, not crazy about the shadows - I borrowed the ma's brushes and tried them on - the texture of them are like LUSTRES!

The just fall everywhere, so I passed. Not for me.

Oh and bought Perfectly Pink and Young Spark - they are very similar, Young Spark is a muted toned down version so I might return it...?
Perfectly pink looks good on everyone...all the girls were trying it on and it looked good on every skin tone...pretty!
