for once i shall be skipping both beauty powders! shocker! but i just don't feel that i need them! i may change my mind when i see more swatches but for now i am happy to skip on by! :)

I often find that I say I'll skip BPs, but then I get sucked in when I "meet" them.

Do neither link nor post these pictures to any other blog or forum without my explicit permission (PM me!).

I only had a few minutes between fittings and I was running out of time (and out of space on my hand and the store was low on wipes). Will post more swatches in the next few days.
Apologies for the rather dull swatches of two p/p (above the tk's). Taupe lovers will find that Morning Frost is a very light taupe, similar to Treasure Hunt in shimmerness, but completely taupe. Let's Skate is rather baby pink, but on my NW20 skin anything pinkish is easily absorbed and it will not swatch as pink as on NC skin.
Really??? Today I've swatched Tresure hunt and you all were right: it's amazing! But I can't buy everything^^ If morning frost is like it I'll probably will love it! I love also sheer paint pot because you can use them alone, apply them with your fingers and don't be afraid of harsh lines. Rubenesque is perfect for this purpose while something more pigmented such as pure creation needs more work! Soooo I'm happy if morning frost looks like tresure hunt or rubensque

Then you will most likely enjoy both, Let's Skate and Morning Frost.

awww man.... can someone clarify for me PLEASE!!

so Im going overseas next week (YAY!) and I buy from the US (cp thru a friend)...
I'm gone from the 19th Oct to the 2nd of Nov.

I think the only thing that comes out around those dates if the first installment of glitter and ice (the mes, lipsticks etc)

am I right??

that way I can pre order

thanks in advance xo.
(BTW.... thanks MAC-Guy for the swatches! great help)

Oh, okay.. :)But did you get too see it in the pot then..?Did it look lighter than blackground..?

During my first round of swatches, I usually only swatch what I intend to buy. I didn't look at For Effect p/p as the shelf-life of a p/p is only around six month and I wouldn't get much use out of this particular color. I might swatch it next week if I get a chance (and don't forget about it).

Okay so I just came back from MAC & can I say I am in Loooveee. I loved most of the thing.. The only thing I dint love was the glitter nail paint. May be I had high expectation. I was expecting something pink-red-silver.. but it was clear base with gold - silver glitter. May be it was just lighting & my mood but that was meh... Between this & Chanel I am doomed..

Man I am loving so much in this collection! My want list is insane. I'll def be taking it easy for the rest of 2011.
I feel I've been neglecting all my other makeup cause I'm so wrapped up in all this new makeup. So I really need to slow down and start enjoying what I do have ya know?
I'm actually considering when I get the p/p's not opening them and perserving them in the fridge since they have such a small shelf life. I cant really afford to back them up. And I got all of my p/p's from PP to use.

I was unsure when the information on this was first released but now that i have seen pictures and some swatches (by wonderful Mac Guy who always delivers!!) im starting to swing back towards getting some things from this collection

*Lets Skate paint pot
*Whirls and Twirls Lipstick
*Glitter and Ice and She-zam Lipglasses

Im interested to see Eloquent Air swatch.. i keep going back to that lipstick with intesrest. im skipping the shadows for now but i do like the look of shimmermint and fresh ice, i may get those as i see more... just think i have enough shadows already but im a fiend when collections get released!! especially when they are like this

That's a good idea. I will most likely do the same.

Indeed :) I didnt realize that the shelf life was so short until I saw you mention it. I really should have done this with the PP p/p's but I was just so excited to see them swatched and use them lol. Esp since I only owned Bare Study and Soft Orche.

That's a good idea. I will most likely do the same.

How else can you prolong your p/ps? I haven't opened mine from Posh Paradise yet and I don't want them to dry out so fast. Can you use fix+ to soften them up again?

I was mainly talking abut bacteria that will grow in p/p (like in any cream-based product) and the free radicals that will cause premature skin aging and wrinkles. I'm less concerned about p/p drying out. Now, I don't want to start this topic again as we (I) discussed it at length in the Posh Paradise thread, but if you want to be on the safe side, then:

- toss any p/p older than 6 months
- keep them in the fridge
- only use two at a time (which should give you a lot of use before you toss them)
- never swatch with your hands
- never go in there with a brush (even a clean one)
- always use a spatula to take out product
- desinfect the surface on a regular basis
- BU your favorite color so you always have some fresh supply

Enjoy your new p/p. These are, again, stunning colors that follow the success of the Posh Paradise p/p.

I have to say, I went to the MAC store yesterday, and I asked about this collection. The SA got very excited and took me around the corner to a special room to show me the collection. All I could say was OMG! It is sooo fabulous! I could not contain myself. I love everything. I wasn't going to get a palette because I have too many eye shadows now, but the little snow globe on the top is too difficult to resist! If you're on a budget (which of course I am/was/will have to be - stay away!
