I am an NC25, do these sound good? I have Shell Pearl BP and Lightscapade MSF, so can I skip Snowglobe? Do you think Such Flare! would be a suitable pin up red for my skin tone?

What do you all think about the packaging?

I find it a little plain and boring. I wish it had some special design on it and not just a plain white color.

I like the b/p and the palettes. The MES are a little bit too plain for my taste, but on the other hand, they go very well with the frosty white looks of the MES, thus I can't say that it's not a good fit. However, I'm not a fan of the tampon-like l/s packaging. But hey, I'm a guy, so what do I know about feminine hygiene products - I'm in no position to judge.

I still like the sterile, clean, obnoxiously hospital white of the packaging. It's cool-toned and embodies glitter & ice much better than any of the previous white-ish designs. Thumbs up for the design.

Put in my preorder today. I didn't preorder too much of the color collection as it wasn't available for swatching. I did however order whirls and twirls, snowglobe, and shimmermint. They're my must haves and I didn't want to risk missing them. I also preordered two of the brush sets (the white one and the duofiber), the face kit, the sultry lip bag, and the sultry eye palette. Super excited to get my things next week!

Great review sss215! Of course now your making me want How Beautiful. Gold and peach on darker skin - not sure I'll be able to pass on that one.

this is the only blog with a swatch of Let's Skate that has made me want to add it to my list! It looks lovely!!

I just watched Christine's swatch video & can honestly say that I'm not impressed. I'm only in for a Morning Frost PP.

Unlike the swatch that Mac-Guy took with a flash wherein Shimmermint did look minty green, Christine's swatches (on site & vid) do look blue. Looks similar to Azreal Blue to me.

The greyish-blue MES (sorry, forgot name) looks like Tilt e/s without the mineralization.

Now there's only 2 things in the remaining year's collections I want to see from the DG collection. And a couple of items from the 3(?) 1/5/12 collections.

Good, I like keeping my $. Besides, it's always a looooong year of MAC collections. lol!

Hey girls! The collection is already out in Asia so I checked out the items yesterday after work. The lipsticks were quite awesome but since I'm low on cash this week I couldn't afford them. Somehow I really liked soft sable. its more of a glaze and looked quite pretty on the lips.. I passed on the BPs since I wasn't impressed with them. The light one was too light for my NC35 skin. The brown looked pretty in the pan, like a light shimmer.. But I couldn't justify the price. I walked away with Let's Skate and Morning Frost paintpots. They were absolutely gorgeous!! You girls will love it!!

Wow I dont come on for a night and this place jumped 5 pages. T's swatches confused me even more. Her swatches look so different from Shades of You. Thats why I hate when I cant see things in RL, you never know which swatches are the truest to the products. I dont have a vehicle till later at night so I cant go to the store on release day, and I'd be too afraid i'd miss something if I go later. I'm really trying to limit myself and its so hard lol esp with so many great collections coming. I DO know I want Lets Skate and For Effect p/p's, Whirls and Twirls & Soft Sable lipsticks, and Shimmermint mes. Everything else I just dont know.

That has convinced me that I'm definitely getting all 3 paint pots. Snow Season looks beautiful over Pixie Epoxy, too.

Let me know how the silvery one works for you! I think we have similar skin tone (I'm NC15), I'm intrigued on how it may appear with fair complexions

I don't use a flash photography when swatching.

If I swatch at home, it's in natural light, and if it's in the store - well, we all know the lighting there.

I am caving towards adding some MES, and the red lippy to my list. My fave MES so far, from swatches, are Hold the Pose and Snow Season.

I am definitely going to have to get How Beautiful. I feel like mentally deficient because I did not notice these were BP and not regular MSF. I will buy both and maybe BU both because I think of all the MAC face products, BP is my favorite. Then again, BU may not be necessary, I have never hit pan on a BP.

After swatches I am loving Howaz liner.

So much depends on stuff not selling out and me being able to go back and purchase after another paycheck!

Anyone else think those palettes with the white packaging look curiously like Clinique products??? Esp. the square e/s in the white palette package. It is like a weird deja vu for me.
