I actually think veinings look ugly most of the time.

That's why I like the BBR MSFs with just the stripes.

What's the Electroflash Anniversary about? I need to find out more about it. July is my birthday month, I'm thinking "presents!"

I love the mineralize lines too.... except when it comes to the shadows. I think if I found a good chance to easily sell off all my mineralize shadows (and I have 8), I would do it in a heartbeat. It's not that they're that bad, I just find I never touch them, since I always reach for my 15-pan palettes instead, yknow?

But since I've never bought or sold online, I dont know if it's worth the bother really, I guess they'll continue to sit in my drawer until I decide what to do with them.

Sell them off, or put them up for swap? At least you get value out of doing that, instead of letting them sit in your drawer (advice quoted from Miss Samantha

Ah i think these are so pretty to look at in the pot! But at $22 they are starting to get pricey, if mac continues this trend mineralized blushes will be $25-$26 dollars in 2-3 years

Last year, MAC launch an all MES collection named Electro Flash.

So this July there will be another mes collection too, so they name it as Electroflash Anniversary for the time being

Grand Duo is on UK website. I will be going at lunch to pick up a few of these... right now thinking about Love Rock, Intenso, Grand Duo, and Moon River. Hopefully... i can limit it to 2 or 3.

Hehehe...main reason being: I am a BLUSH WHORE. whatever blush, msf, mineralized blush or beauty powder MAC releases...I will buy them. Unless they are too dark for my skintone :p

i love collecting blushers..

nunu: Intenso, grand duo and loverock are definitely NOT sheer. Moonriver is though...scroll up one or two page before u will see the swatch of moonriver on my face

General comments on the collection:
What i like about the grand duo blushers is that u can use them as blush (the solid side) and highlighting (the swirly side) and not to mention...if u are a fan of shimmery e/s, u can use the swirly side as e/s as well. Therefore i feel the mineralized blushers released this time round are pretty versatile. Just my one cents worth.

Texture: The solid side has a texture similar to the sonic chic blushers while the swirly side is the shimmery side which is comparable to the swirly half of the flashtronic eyeshadows. The swirly side is definitely too sheer to be used as a blush by itself...i would suggest one to use it more for highlighting purpose if u don't want to become a glitterball :p Hence i won't recommend one to swirl the blush all over the pan, unless u are a fan of shimmers on your face. I would use the solid side as a base blush, and the swirly side for highlighting over the area where i want to.

For some of the duos with the darker swirly sides such as Earth to Earth, you could use them for contouring or as an eyeshadow instead of highlighting.

That's all for my review on the Grand duo collection. I love the grand duos!! this has to be Mac's best collection for this year!!!

Do try them out on your face before buying.... though i think Intenso, Hot planet and Loverock will show up on u,

Moonriver...i'm not too sure as it's already pretty sheer on my NC20 skin.

Geeko.. Since you have like 100+ blushers.. Won't they go bad or something? I mean, these things have shelf life, no? Unless you buy them because you like the way they look in the pan?

Yep i am on the fence about Moon River. I think that i will pass it.

Do you think any of these (slid side) compare to the sonic chic ones? One of them does remind me of play on plums mes that came out with electroflash.

TIA

I went to the Mac store and got... Moon River, Love Rock and Grand Duo. Intenso was too bright for me. I don't think it would have suited my NC20 skin.

I got Earth to Earth today. It shows up well as is a nice peachy colour. Good for summer I'm thinking. I can do a swatch if anyone wants?

So for someone with pretty pale skin (NW15-20) what is your recommendation? Moon river because it is sheer? Or no if you have the blonde MSF? Any suggestions would sure help my decision making! Thanks ladies!
